Congratulations, it’s a fabulous van. It’s always a challenge loading a new van even with more room. We hope you have many happy and safe travels. Best wishes H&M.
Well done both a great video and what a lovely van could see why you couldn’t refuse! so much space and well designed many happy miles of happy motoring to you both
Hello you three, the new van looks great, we also have a panel van so looking forward to watching your adventures in the Apollo. Seen the Allegro in the garage reminds me of my brother in law's 1750 TC, in blue with a vinyl roof. Have a Happy Christmas!
Hi Rick and Heather, and Poppy too of course! I’ve just subscribed to your channel and what a time to pick, the day you show us your new van. I have an automatic NV200 and to be honest I could never go back to a manual. I’ve been driving manuals since 1974 and never thought of an automatic but when this one came up I was smitten. The funny story is, the first time I needed changes made the company gave me a manual courtesy car and I kept stalling it! I could never go back now. Here’s wishing you very many happy years in ??? and I look forward to watching your travels. ☺️
Hi! Welcome aboard! I’ve had auto’s before but usually I’m big cars like Jaguars, we always wanted an automatic van and this just happened at the right time 😊 we hope you enjoy coming along with us ❤️
@@RickandHeather Mine also is auto but the earlier Comfortmatic version, I've had the van remapped and the performance is supposed to be 180hp and this did not make the mpg any worse but the performance is brilliant compared to the original 150hp
28th, Mrs K's birthday. Van looks great, I couldn't live with 28mpg tend to get mid 30s out of Gino. I like the rear camera for checking the bikes but I still haven't fully got to grips with the dash but after a Triumph Herald I only really need fuel, temp and speed😂😂 I know the new vans name as it was in a CV group message, what was the inspiration. Cheers K.
Gorgeous van and S & L have great location there, what a lovely place 🙂 27 mpg not really to bad tbh, ours was getting 29 mpg, now getting 32 with the tuning box. Looking forward to the van tour and future adventures in (put name here ) All the best Trev Debz and Tyler
With the drivers seat positioned where you have it the head rest is further back than the end of that cupboard so it would provide no protection in a crash or sudden stop.
There’s not anything I can do about that I’m afraid, if the seat went further back I’d have it further…. In honesty life’s a risk, crack on. But appreciate the concern
I’ve got CV40 140 manual and get about 35 mpg , I don’t think your return is bad . Lovely looking and great colour , love the new dash layout . Enjoy .
@@RickandHeather keep bouncing between the Atlas for size/parking etc and the Apollo for the bigger kitchen worktop and the extra room up front with the side window… I’m sure I would be happy with both
@@RickandHeather thanks both. I agree and leaning the same way. I think I’m guilty of getting slightly hung up on what is in essence, a relatively small increase in length for big interior gains.
You look as if you are very high up, I know you have said you are tall but you look as though you are looking at the top of the windscreen. We looked at these vans at the show but found them to be very busy inside with a lot of wood, everyone to their own.
This is actually lower for me than the previous van as S&L use a shallower seat rotation plate than Elddis did, as you say I am tall yes… as for the wood it’s exactly as you describe everyone likes different styles, thanks for the comment though we appreciate it 🙏
With our 2022 FiatCV20, the read9ut for mpg is in US mpg. There is an option US or Imperial, but you get US . So your indicated mpg is actually 1.17x better ie 30 mpg is 35mpg, 35 mpg is 40 mpg. On our 140mph auto in 16 months 7400 miles we averaged 37mpg. Best mpg 45 t9uring in france, worst mpg on Isle of wight= hilly and rarely nto high gears. Amazingly economical for near 3.5 tonne
That’s odd I wonder if it can be altered using the obd port and a software update? Great mpg though the tyres on the new van are definitely zapping the mpg here.
Great looking van! Apologies if I have missed it but will you be taking it to a weighbridge once you have all your stuff in it? I am really interested in what the true payload is.
Congrats on the "new" van. One question and a task for you. Does the satnav gives real time traffic and can you find out how to update the mapping as it now dates from 2021.
Yes it does and you can, it keeps prompting us to update and link via WiFi to use it, in fairness we don’t use it we use google maps as it’s able to mirror your phone, we were just messing with stuff driving home in this video 👍
Rich & Heather. Don't know if you want to mention it. But I've just found out I'm not subscribed to the new channel. Is this your latest video on UA-cam. Can't find your 1st trip in new van
I think a lot of it was the trip computer wasn’t zeroed and Steve the previous owner wasn’t really doing much driving distance wise, it’s creeping up since we’ve owned it. Still not as good as the last van but a different engine and heavier too.
Although we appreciate your videos, the fact that you have never slept in the van due to the need for a proper night's sleep in a bed has discouraged my wife and me from buying campervan. An airbed and a tent can greatly enhance your experience, while also being a more cost-effective option. Additionally, having £80000 in the bank earning a 5% interest rate provides a solid financial foundation.
When did I say we hadn’t slept in it? I said we didn’t sleep in it the night we got it home…. We both work full time and still average 90 nights in it a year. 80k in the bank isn’t for me, live for the day, we have no mortgage or kids we’re doing just fine.
@@jockserb3405 yes… I explained we’d not slept well all week, we hadn’t loaded the van, we’d been up early and traveled all day, got home and the last thing on our mind was sorting a van bed after that when the house was all ok.
Yes I know it's name change. Been subscribed for long time. I mentioned it to see if you need to tell everyone to check if still subscribed. As I wasn't on your new name.
Van looks fantastic and with the chunky tyres and Alloys it looks quite mean looking, wish you all the best with the new Van.
Thanks we love it!
I like the door to the wash room - it just gives that extra bit of space so you don't feel claustrophobic.
Yeah it’s growing on us!

Ohhh Debbie you’re that far behind we’ve probably retired and got an A class by now 🤣 enjoy catching up!

Congratulations ( even though you have had it awhile ). Automatics are great, so easy. Great use for the washroom door, no dog gate required.
Yeah the door is probably stying! I’m loving the auto!

Wonderful seeing both your joy excellent. Best I get out of my Ducato Malibu 640LE is 28/9 MPG no add blue engine.
