UPDATE Oct. 12, 2019 - I bought SOUND FORGE Audio Cleaning Lab and cleaned up the tracks. I highly recommend re-downloading as the cleaned tracks are more pleasant to listen to with a lot less static and ambient noise. The audio on this video remains unchanged, but please visit the MEGA link below if you would like to listen to the updated tracks. Thanks for all of your support.
A complete Wolf's Rain Unreleased OST is finally complete after two and a half months of work. Wolf's Rain and Yoko Kanno lovers know how much beautiful music was present in the anime but never made it into a soundtrack release. I still hope the tracks are officially released someday (maybe on an anniversary or something).
In no way am I an audio engineer, but my goal was to finish with higher quality tracks than previously available on the internet. I hope I met that goal for anyone listening and if I missed any track samples or missed any tracks completely, please feel free to contact me, or about anything else.
It was made by extracting audio from a Flac 5.1 DVD Rip. I then made the Soundtrack Outline / Guide and did the best I could with Audacity to make the tracks sound original and enjoyable. I am also looking into buying SOUND FORGE Audio Cleaning Lab to see if I can clean up some of the background noise in certain tracks, but for now, this is the best I could do.
Shoutout to Wolf's Rain HD for inspiring me to do this project. I took some song names from him too. He also releases Wolf's Rain Unreleased tracks on his channel here: / @wolfsrainhd

@@chadfranklin47 I think I will always appreciate it, such a good show. actually ended up getting into it through an animator I liked at the time called Goldenphoenix101 who made a video called Paradise Seekers where she animated a new kinda scene over some sound from episode 26 haha

Years later i can't thank you enough for this great work! Still chasing Raquen... (and sometimes showing other people this pearl). I was an high-school student when Wolf's Rain captived me, literally one of the reason i started going on internet (back in the days of the "forums"), now i am a teachers to 11-13yo kids and it's one of the top anime i suggest watching to the anime-following kids each time i leave a class before they move on next school.
Just rewatched the entire show with a friend who had never seen it. Tears were shed, laughs were had. Overall my favourite anime to date.

Chad.......YOU ARE THE FREAKING G.O.A.T!!!!! I have been looking for Paradise Lost for at least 3 or 4 years since I watched the show. They briefly use the theme in the official song "Friends", but I have wanted THIS specific one. Although voices is still there, its better than the other one I had, which was slightly distorted.

Sorry for the double reply! It's amazing that there are several variations of the nobles' theme like 13, 50, etc, but none made it onto the osts. The eerie/haunting tunes like those and also 43 & 51 are so good. And Lunar Flowers is just magical. Thanks again

Oh, how this brings back so many memories that we can never go back to.. Hate how nostalgic this soundtrack is. I can so clearly remember how life was back then, so close, yet so far. Is i could do much as TOUCH those times again, I'd be content. Wish I could go back so badly. This is one of the very first anime I've watched, & I remember how colorful, beautiful, and utterly ethereal the anime word was and just wishing I could jump into the TV to their world and escape this reality. I knew this Kiba before the ones in a more popular anime, like Naruto & yes, I'm proud of that because older anime is so underrated and unappreciated. So elegant and well written, yet so many bypass these works of art and beauty without so much as a blink of an eye for these crappy, overly sexual, repetitive, modern ones everyone raves about now 🤡🙄🤦🏽♀️😭
I remember thinking anime was weird, then eventually watching and finishing Naruto (my first anime) with no intention of watching any others. Wish I had started with Wolf's Rain lol. But yeah, I'm still discovering older anime and few can compare to these great older titles.

I always wondered why so many of my brother's friends and him were so obsessed with it long before I decided to check it out and boy, did that open my eyes lol. Everything about them were so beautiful. Although it's hard for me to check out and get into new anime because the old ones I watched as a kid are glued in my mind. I just hate the modern ones lol. Nothing but violence and huge tits 🙄🤦🏽♀️🤡
I miss & love the few meaningful, underrated ones. But yeah, my brother loved Naruto so much and I never checked it out until he was finishing the series because I was petty & I basically declared anything that he liked, I hated by default l. But I wish I had grown up with/watching Naruto 😭😭😭 The openings, the lessons they teach, the tragedy in the plot. It's all breathtaking. I got a soft spot for it after accidentally watching episode 80 (I think) when the hokage died, and I saw a glimpse of Naruto and Gaara's past. I was severely bullied to so the fact that it had a lot of characters I could relate to drew me in ☺️☺️☺️
@@niamphdollieofficial You're spot on, even more so now. Anime and Manga inspired me from such a young age. Fullmetal, Wolf's Rain, Mushi-shi. I took up a pencil at 13 and entered university at 16 to study art. 2 years in now and I'm starting my official debut as a manga artist. The older anime will always be my biggest ports of inspiration, they were so human. My goal is to bring that kind of story telling back into the spotlight -- where stories had meaning, and people knew how to appreciate them. There's no point of creating media solely for money and mass-consumerism. In a time where nothing is sacred, buried gems like Wolf's Rain are so special to the people whom hold it close and treasure it in its entirety. Maybe you'll see my work one day, I hope when that day comes -- you can feel that resonating once more.
Wolf's Rain didn't get the popularity it needed, but it found the audience it deserves. It didn't just broadcast mindlessly; it deeply resonated with a very special kind of person. To be that kind of person is truly an honour. You are gifted the capacity to feel on such a deep emotional level, what a colourful, exciting life.

The end of this series hurts so bad !! So realll , everything just reincarnated and they walked past each other didn’t even remember each other !! I was like no wayyyyy!!! Was to young to understand but at 32 damn hits different I use to watch this all the time when I was like like 12 or 13 crazy how time flies !!! Really creepy
I'm 34 man and watched so many anime,but this one...had such an impract on me.Regarding the story/reincarnation,i read an article years ago wich did such a great interpretation.With each reincarnation Kiba is closer to paradise and he will reunite with the others.The ending is heartbreaking but optimistic.

The photo of the OST 3 album is available in the art book. It is extremely sad to think that there are cassette reels and CDs hidden somewhere in Tokyo, either at the Bones studio or with Mrs. Yoko Kanno. These recordings, over 20 years old, will probably be destroyed and will never see the light of day. It's truly disheartening.

I tried posting a comment but it's not showing up after.. so I will say it again. This makes me quite happy/nostalgic stumbling upon this just now as someone who has been consistently using mainly Kiba's pictures for many years on MAL without changing it to other anime believe it or not (just ask anyone on the forum games about this they will recognize me as the Wolf's Rain person - my username there is sunsetocean), because I could relate to the lone wolf character who is looking for paradise in life. As for my case I am always trying to find the purpose of life. I also loved the instrumental track of Cloud 9 but was disappointed they never released it. I will have to spare some time to listen through all of these. Although I am considering a change of pics for a while to get into the mood for AOT final season since it's finally ending.
I also appreciate the amount of time and effort that you put into making these as someone else who used to edit unreleased music with k-dramas +2 lakorns so I know how much work it takes to find/make these tracks.

My personal favorite is 9:32. It is so full of sadness and longing. Reminds me of Hubb and Cher...
Definitely one of my favorite scenes (Quent and Blue reunion) and the music went perfectly with it. Too bad UA-cam cut it out of the video, make sure to download the full version from Bandcamp :). And Hubb and Cher were amazing together, please let me know if you know any other anime with a relationship like theirs.
Chad Franklin Not that I know of...Hubs devotion to Cher was just on another level. It’s a sad tale that their jobs ended up clouding something really just so beautiful in their relationship. The only short time they were able to reconcile their relationship, the whole world was ending. The whole thing was just heartbreaking to watch, yet at the same time I would be able to die happy in the arms of someone who loved me as much as Hub loved Cher.
So much that was never released 😭.

You likely wont see this, but have you tried overlapping the english and japanese audios (where they speak over music) and subtracting the differences with some software to completely remove dialogue from the music? Since the background audio (and music) is the same, its just the dialogue that differs.
It's been a while, and that is definitely a good idea. But from what I remember, only the English audio had a 5.1 format (which has better separation between the vocals and music/sfx) while the Japanese audio only had a 2.0 stereo format which made it impractical to implement your suggestion.

Could also try your luck getting in contact with Kanno directly and see if you can get a response from her (though not sure the best way to do that). I have learned a little Japanese, and tbh, I was gonna send Hajime Mizoguchi (her ex husband) a message on Instagram (not specifically about this subject) but I ended up not sending it. Maybe I should just ask him if something like that would be possible, and see if he'll grace me with a reply. He himself has a few unreleased tracks that he worked with Kanno on from the Escaflowne movie. Not sure if it's wise or not to mention this video though, would hate for that to end with it getting taken down.

Completionists aside, all that is really needed is a mini album (6-8 tracks long) with all the MAJOR cues unreleased. Like THE FINAL FIGHT MUSIC, which is kind of a big deal.

I had the same edit on my ipod when I had 1. I used audacity to cut that whole scene from the episode. I just kept it as is becuz the dialogue in that moment was good too. "Everyone's gonna die it's a natural part of life...but if life has no purpose your dead already." I listened to that track almost everyday gunshots and all at the end. Then my CPU died and i didn't have an external harddrive and my ipod 3 years later...So when I tell u it meant the world to me finding this...

Or is there a web page that has all of the songs in this video? I’m trying to listen to all of the songs on my phone and do other thing at the same time and the web page allowed me to exit the app and still listen to the music while UA-cam does not. Thanks :)
