Great inspirations with clear instructions, thanks! Wouldn't exactly call these hubs though, for me a hub is more of a collection of portals like you showed at the beginning.
Personally, I prefer the Stargate element - I have three permanent gates. The middle gate is always tagged 000... with the left and right, I "dial up" a given gate in the world as needed. When I'm out exploring, I can drop a gate and dial home at any time using the 000 portal. There's something kinda fun about entering the tag for the destination and watching the gate do its Stargate-style connection animation. Also, with the two gates, it means me and the small group of people I play with still have some flexibility when it comes to visiting different areas at the same time... but on the whole, it's a good idea to stay with the team anyway. Great tips with the sign formatting btw! Had no idea!
That’s a great idea having a default portal to always be able to portal back too! And as you say you may as well have a couple of portals. That way, if playing with friends, you could just have a portal each to use. It does mean having a few portals but it’s still a lot more space saving than an enormous hub.
I think the ashwood is my favorite, but I appreciate the grausten the most because I have never been able to figure out how to use them successfully in a build. Your placement instructions were very clear, so now I can finally start building a church for my castle. Thanks!
Thank you! Grausten is definitely perfect for big buildings like temples and church builds. I should build with it more often, brings a lot more variety to the game!
I’ve also not seen a difference when making text bold. There are some fonts that don’t become bold so maybe that’s the issue? I never tried changing the font. 🤔

Nice
ashwood base housing for portal seems very balanced in design and test

Lovely designs but reconnecting portals every time you wanna go somewhere sucks.
It’s an unfortunate trade off..
