  • BIRTH STORY| Positive C-Section Experience| What to expect with a breech baby
    In this video, I share with you my experience with a failed ECV procedure which ultimately lead to my scheduled C-section. Having a cesarean delivery was never even a thought during my whole pregnancy until my 35 week appointment when we discovered my baby boy was breech. Being a first time mom, this was an unexpected and crazy whirlwind of events and I wanted to explain how my experience went and hopefully it provides some insight to those who are about to go through similar journey.

    Excellent video, thank you for sharing your very inspiring story in such an articulate way. It's very encouraging to hear new mums speaking out about their positive birth experiences, particularly if it's involved an intervention they were not expecting. Thank you. My partner is an obstetrician and I know how hard he works on behalf of his patients :)

    I've had 4 children but never had a c section. It sounds like the whole ordeal leading up to it was pretty stressful. But I'm glad it all turned out well for you and that you and baby are healthy! Labor and child birth is the absolute most miraculous experience. Nothing can compare. Congratulations on your new little one ♡♡♡

    Just had my ECV procedure done no spinal. I have delivered 3 babies previously vaginally. The ECV procedure hurt more than all my deliveries put together and the same for me my baby only flipped partially so now we wait and see if our baby will fully flip in a few days if not my c-section was also scheduled 1-week post ecv. But I agree my plan was never to have a c section especially since this is our last baby. A little bittersweet for me.

    Thanks for sharing your story. I also had a C-section with both of my babies. The first time I had the spinal I found it painful, but with my second baby it was similar to how you explained. Having a section is such a weird experience right!? x

    Thanks for sharing. Had 4 vaginal births and currently 36 wks with #5 Baby turned breach this week. Im tryin chiro and moxibustion to turn him. But its comforting to know i can plan a gentle c section if he doesnt turn.

      Hi! I’m also in the same boat. Doing moxa, acupuncture and I have a chiropractor appt. I’m going to be 37 weeks this coming up Wednesday.
      Did it work for you?🙏

    • @alexissabbagh4049
      @alexissabbagh4049 8 місяців тому

      @MeliMel277 HI I went into early labor at 38wks before it worked. I ended up with csection. The Dr respected my birth plan as much as possible considering most of what I wanted pertained to vaginal birth. We did delayed cord clamp and skin to skin in or while being closed up and he latched right away and nursed for 40mins. I did have a rough recovery pain wise. NOT everyone experience is the same. I think I had a rough time because I was refusing to take the strong meds and also I'm 42 and maybe just don't heal as fast as I would of if I was younger? But keep at it! I do feel it would have worked of we made it to my due date

    Thats so weird. In quebec they dont give you any meds or spinal for ecv and its very tolerable..i guess it depends of the country ?

  • @NYCTOMOSCOW888
    @NYCTOMOSCOW888 2 роки тому

    wow, thanks for sharing! Hope you and your baby are doing good now!! I'm 35 weeks and baby is still breech, hoping for the baby to turn head down closer to labor and getting some info on c-sec as well. How does this whole planned c section work? do you wait until you start having contractions and then check the baby's postion and if they still breech then you go to hospital for procedure or they just schedule the date and do it anyway without waiting until the last minute? I just heard so many stories when babies would turn head down during labor!

    • @ArielleBrimhall
      @ArielleBrimhall  2 роки тому +2

      After the failed ecv they just scheduled me a c-section date. I never went into natural labor or started having contractions. I think they prefer to just schedule you instead of waiting for you to go into labor because at that point it becomes an emergency c-section. But maybe that depends on your hospital, that's how mine was though
