5:37 I like that the seating position is about the same. I saw the Transalp last year along with the Yamaha Tenere and those bikes were somewhat intimidating.
Thanks for the vid. Nice walk around. There’s nothing there that makes me want to swap from my 2019 CB500x , I know looks are subjective, but I prefer the look of the CB500x.
Agreed , I have a 2020 and certainly nothing here that would tempt me to change to the NX . If they brought out a cast wheel / tubeless version of the Transalp - that’s a different story !
I agree, I bought the 2019 model in white and I love the looks, it’s a great bike. Upgrading would prob cost me around £3000+ so I will stick with my 2019, it’s a keeper. 😊
@@markdurkowski6230I had the same reservations as you but decided to go the Transalp anyway. I have no regrets. The bike is a huge step up in every way from the CB500X ( Yes I had the 2019 model). Price is obviously higher but its great value for the money.
Honda should offer this in an anniversary edition with the same coloration and wheels as the Red, White, and Blue Transalp. Wishful thinking I know, but still it would look hot 🔥
If they kept the suspension AT LEAST as good as on the 2023 - then it is 👍👍👍👍 I'm pretty pleased with it. Will not replace it with the newest one, unless they made it noticeably better.
I really hope the US doesn’t get snubbed for this model. I just have a bad feeling we won’t get it even though we had the CB500X every model year. As much as I liked the 500X I was always hesitant for some reasons (like the poor visibility LCD display), but I like the NX enough to not hesitate! That said, I still like the far more basic Versys-X 300 and would still buy it. Hoping for Versys-X 500 now with Kawasaki’s new 451cc engine and modular frame.
🦘 I reckon the vertical panel (just forward of the fuel tank) seriously compromises the smooth, streamline appearance of this model - compared to the CB 500X. No way would I be tempted to upgrade to this from my gorgeous Grand Prix red 2021 CB 500X. After 25,000 km it still runs like a Swiss watch (like a Honda in fact) and only drinks 3.1 L/100 km. Unlike others have commented, I've never had any difficulty reading the screen and vibration has never been an issue. It's one hell of a machine and I reckon any 'improvements' that have been incorporated in the NX500 would, compared to the later (2024) model CB 500X, be so small as to be unnoticeable. Indeed, less fuel efficiency would actually be a retrograde feature. Prove me wrong. 😊
This bike isn’t ment to be an upgrade for cb500x owners. It is just a newer version for new buyers. But 2024 and not including the usb socket is a huge mistake from honda.
I have had my NX for a couple of weeks now, I did p/x my 2020 500x for such a good price I had to do it!😂 For me the front end with twin discs and the new dash made it a worthwhile upgrade...the first few things I have noticed so far about the NX compared to my 2020X...it does have more mid range torque, ideal for two up...there is definitely more engine vibes...standard screen is staying on! .. slightly less mpg..so far its doing ok.
@@tubelesschannel Yes for me at 1.75cm it was the first thing I noticed, the air is way smoother and with less noise..I had to change to the Puig on the 2020X it was unbearable with the std screen..
The black side panels at front is very shiny on the black one, and that i liked...it stands out from the non-glossy finish of the other black. On the white the same panel is just black. I love Honda make bikes for every taste :-)
I think you really need to see them in the flesh. The black one looks a bit boring in videos but in real life it's actually very nice. I haven't seen the white one in reality but it also looks very nice.
To each his own. I prefer the look of my 2022 CB500X, but would love to be able to replace the screen. Also, I think they missed out on a change to replace the front bar with a wider one that would be better suited to more standard size GPS/Mobile phone holders. I'll see how the 2025 model looks before I consider switching. Thanks the for good review.
Yes, the 2022 is also lovely. You will have to bring the GPS a bit out from the 12 mm bar, then I think also a Zumo XT2 (6 incher) would fit. There are many now making mounts for that.
Great, another Honda that Honda won’t be able to supply to their American dealers. Must be frustrating to be in business and not be able to meet your Customer demand.
@@tubelesschannel Yes, it's my understanding they iron out any 'wrinkles' before offering it to the large US market , it's on purpose that it's a year after the UK (and some other places) and sometimes even two years .
I hope new Transalp will have same look. Unfortunately NX500 engine is too weak even for beginner - it should have at least 500cc (I must add that it has 471cc because most of people believe it is 500 😂). Also no quickshifter (must if u ride in the city).
The new Transalp has a very similar look. I have never felt I need a quickshifter, and surely not in the city. Maybe on a racetrack but you dont buy a NX500 to do racing. In very curvy roads with inspired riding, switching between curves and longer stretches it could be somewhat useful though. But after more than 50000 km on the bike I dont miss it. 471 or 500 is not any big deal, the important is that Honda will have to keep it not more than 48 hp to comply with the A2 driver licenses in Europe. In asia the same bike is 400cc for the same reason...The NX500 is as powerful as EU permits for a A2 license. The bike is NOT too weak for a beginner, its even strong enough for many experienced riders.
Looks good in white ! Thanks !
Great review, thank you from Miami, Florida.
Thanks !

Great new bike tutorial. I am looking forward to your ride review of this model.

Just buy a stickerset
Look forward to you ordering the red model.

I like the bike, all black is my fav .We don't have it here yet but loved the CB500X .
I’ve had mine for a month and I love it…….😊
Do it have tubeless tires?

I'm very tempted!
Ride safe 👍
I’ve done 1000 miles on the NX and it’s a fantastic bike.
Nice, love to hear that :-)
How tall are you bro?
6ft 2
@@DeanArnold1066 I’m actually the same height but for me the knee angle is a little cramped. Can we increase the seat height by any chance?
@@Kakarot_0029 you could by a seat cushion or lower the pegs with aftermarket pegs.
Good vid Sven. That's a good looking bike. RTW capable for about anywhere
Yes it is a RTW bike !
I got the black 2023 model not knowing that the NX500 was going to be released or I would have waited as I like the TFT dash and connectivity.
The black 23 is a beautiful bike also !! Rode it 2500 km in Portugal.

Same color scheme..CRF Alloy frame,21 in front wheel and the 500 twin and everything would be good
Yes and same or lower pricetag :-)

Yes that is options many would like but not everyone. Would make the bike more expensive. Luckily it is available as accessory

That's a great video. Do they have the new red Africa twin please?

Really don’t like the black, it’s just too black, needs some coloured decals to break it up a bit.

I like the new display, but they managed to make the bike uglier in my opinion. Have to keep my 2019 model a little longer.
Taste is very personal...would not switch just for the design.
Set it side by side with the cb500x and show the difference
