We went with 15” rims with a 5” offset and they are 10” wide with 295’s but I think we could have fit 305’s on Big thanks to my buddy Shawn at Kevin’s wheel for the help.
Yes, they will. My brother's 73 has 295 50s on the rear, 15x10 Centerlines. With the right offset, they will fit almost completely inside the rear wheelwells.
I have the exact same car! I have 15 inch cragers all the way around. Right now I have 225/60R15 in the rear and 195/60R15 in the front. I want to go to a bigger size in front and back. Any suggestions and thank you!
I did the same on my 1971 Mach 1 in 2017. 295/50 BFG's out back on Wheel Vintiques 10" Magnum 500's. People love it and always comment about it at the shows. My wheels have a 5.5" offset and tuck under there pretty good. My car was equipped with a rear sway bar, and that had to come off. You do need air-shocks or similar lift to keep them from rubbing however. The fatties look cool man! Enjoy them!
I had a '73 MACH 1 silver /black with a Q code cobra jet 4 bbl. engine, c6 trans. comp. Suspension and put air shocks ( separate lines ), then put N50 -15 rears and G50 - 15 on front, Pro trac competition profile tires with American Racing Vector wheels 7 1/2 x 15 frt., 8 1/2 x15 rear - perfect!!!!!! In 1986!!!
Hello, Kruger. I’m in Calgary, my Mach 1 is 1972, I’d like to know where did you get these Steel Chrome Magnum 500 rims, I hope I get one 15x8 for rare and 15x7 for front. Thank you so much. I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
Mr. Murray, your car looks awesome. Congratulations Sir! My Mach 73, have Bfgoodrich 245 60 R14. This size be the same, in front and in back. You can change it, in X (rotation). Maybe, I put 295 50 R15 later. Anyway. Your car looks fantastic!!!!
Years ago I had a 71 and I put 295/50-15s on 8 inch wide rims and the inner lip of the wheel well would cut the sidewall of the tire if I hit a hard bump. I switched to 265s and they fit perfect.
What year Mach? I have a 1970 Mach 1 with original 15x7 Magnum 500s. I have BF Goodrich Radial TAs P255/60R15's in the rear and P245/60R15's in the front. They fit great and look awesome. No clearance issues at all. Nice aggressive look but not over the top.
That's all I've ever run on my '73 Mach, front and back, since I got it in 1988. Handles great in the curves. No rubbing anywhere. It sat a little low in the back, even after I put new leaf springs in. So I got a pair of air shocks and ran induvial air lines to each. I found that 50 psi is perfect, levels the back out nice and even. 😁👍
Great Stuff!! Were the Magnum wheels custom made at 10" wide? Where can I purchase a set? Thanks for your help;
Wife and i found in the Junkyard a 71 mustang mach 1 351C C6 M code fastback car. So this combination would look awesome 1 day. Great car, brother.

What’s the offset needed please let me know thanks
@@ramonolivares8059I'm not sure tbh
I always thought the stock wheels were way too small for the mach 1 . My compliments to you
I have a '73 Mach 1 also. Didn't know anyone made wider Magnum 500's.
