Thank you Mat.
Nice! LAN only mode is a good feature I think.
Caters to all usecases. That's what I like to see ;)
+++BRAVO+++
Very neat device! I have one built-in the wall with some fancy momentary switches controlled locally but let Home Assistant do the voice control for me: Google communicates with my HA instance. That is one way of doing it, curious what you came up with!
I'm a Alexa guy so that would be my target device but I usually let Nora handle GH devices
Do you have a video of how to wire these for the UK ie no live to the switch. Thanks and great videos.
I the UK you have to put it inside the ceiling fixture
@@notenoughtech would you be able to do a video explaining how please. Or at the very least explain the principle of wiring it please. Thank you for replying.
It will be possible to see the KWh in node red?
Sure. Even if the telemetry isn't available directly it's an easy value to calculate based on current use
You can also Flash tasmota over the air. With a simple web script. No need to remove from installed location
You could... But then again... Why? The rest API and MQTT is developed well enough and the cloud toggle keeps your device private :)
@@notenoughtech because I had a need to use mqtt rules to have a Sonoff TX multiple button switch to control a Shelly 2.5 that was mounted in a ceiling fan/light remotely without have to use automation.

@@stovedoctor fair enough. I usually offload tasks like this to NodeRed
just remember that there is 120 v on the switch ports :-( maybe it is 60v in the US
110v is in the us but you can power it with anything between 110 and 240
hi, it has only one gang?
the last time I checked it had 2
only a burnt Sonoff a switch is a good Sonoff a switch 😆
😉 let's not talk about the sonoff i burnt haha... I'm still very ashamed of this :D
Still I prefer my Sonoff.
1 price. Double of Sonoff !!
2 Quality. Both the same
3 Important functions the same
After tested one, no doubt, I prefer Sonoff Mini and Sonoff product range
I'd disagree about the functions. Shelly has a massive edge over Sonoff in that regards
quality might be the same, but Shelly is UL listed. A non-UL appliance can void your home insurance
