Fantastic! I think exaktly the same...My first keyboard was a Wourlitzer!! Bought this 1978.. 200usd. I loved Supertramp: Dreamer... Now i waything for a nord stage 4 compakt.... (had a stage 3 HA88 for last 5 years) Thomas Sweden
Great video, Sub'd. I have the Nord Grand (for the action) and I love the chracter and care in most of their sounds, inspiring like the real instruments. It's great to have a sound set mellow and EQ it bright, or vice versa, a little compression, a little room verb. You can get sounds that sound like the real instrument mic'd up or played in a room. Amber Upright is one of my favourites. Anyway great playing and look forward to your future videos :) (came here from the ADSR one)
Glad you’re checking out the channel, thank you! Nord does an amazing job at their realism, and their samples seem to only get better and better. I don’t use the amber upright often but I have it on my board, I’ll have to give it another look! I appreciate your comment, thank you 🙏
I totally agree with you, the real Wurlitzer is a wonderful instrument, actually my favorite electric keyboard. And Nord did a great job of sampling them. But I think Nord‘s Wurlitzer 1 also has its place on the shelf. Yes, the W2 sounds more detailed, but the W1 on the other hand sounds more mellow with less attack, as if the hammers were modified. I like this sound also a lot. Anyway, great playing and yeah, keep the Wurli up! 🖤
Thank you so much! I appreciate your comment. I think it really, really depends on the instrument for Rhodes. Real ones tend to be much more versatile in terms of bite and midrange than the Rhodes on the Nord, I don't find I'm able to get them as bright as the Wurli on the Nord. But I've heard MK1 Rhodes that sound insanely deep and mellow, with no attack at all, and I've heard late 70's Fender Rhodes that sound downright plunky. Modern day versions have found a nice middle ground, but with so much interest in the vintage instruments the samples tend to be of those vintage instruments, and therefore learn one way or the other on extremes in terms of timbre. Just my two cents, I'm certainly no expert! Thank you for your comment!
It's a great question! I'd be lying if I said I knew anything about key VSTs, I usually record everything (including client work) with the nord. But I'm sure there are plenty of amazing VST shootouts on here for Wurli's, I'd give a bunch of those a listen and see which ones seem the most realistic! Thank you for your comment!
Great video. I can't believe you have so few subscribers. I loved the one on EP9 Stockholm too. On my Electro 6, the keyboard touch feature is either 1, 2, 3 or off., with off being the seemingly default setting. On the Stage 4 it looks to be this light medium heavy thing, a different implementation. What do you think the equivalences are across the two features? is off on the earlier instruments equivalent to medium, and gets heavier, or is it light?
This sound can only be played on the Nord, but there are plenty of excellent Wurlitzer vsts out there. I think electric pianos are easier to replicate than real pianos on VSTs, so I’m sure there are plenty of amazing options.
Hey Andre, I suggest you have a listen to a Roland RD800. This keyboard has a control button TONE. As you turn from left to right the keyboard selects samples of 1969 rhodes, Mk1 rhodes Mk2 rhodes samples. I really don't like Nord.
I have owned Original wurlitzers and Rhodes pianos all my life. I don't agree with your description of Rhodes tone. It is far more complex than you describe.
Fantastic presentation. Thank you for these insights.
You're fantastic! I love your playing and I've learned a lot from this video and the one about the Stockholm. Thanks!
Thank you so much! I’m glad you found the video informative and I appreciate your kind words!
LOVE how you did this

I'm going to redownload that and give it another go, you've inspired me to give it another shot. Thank you so much for your kind words!
5:58 yo the vulf lick!
You know it! Classic stuff
I don't know what is more impressive, the sound of the sample, or your playing..
Thank you so much!
I can answer that one.... They're both impressive as each other.
It would nice to see the display om the keyboard, so that it is easier to mimmick your settings
I’ve got a Moog in the way at the moment (on a second tier), but I’ll absolutely consider working out a way to do that in the future!
Nice playing, fella. I'm no expert on Nord emulations, but I do have a Rhodes MK1 and it has plenty of bite.

Any decent VST's of the 200A?

Great Playing! Who did you study to build those chops?

are you saying "wulritzer"? it's much easier to pronounce it the way it's actually spelled, with the r before the L
Honestly no idea, mate 😂 I say it so much in this video I’m sure I pronounce it both ways
@@andreberniermusic i was being rhetorical. you are pronouncing it "wulritzer" consistently
Can I use ir as a VST? Or only on nord?
