Thank God for your music - I was tthere at Public Hall in 1980 when Michael Stanley introduced you and your brothers John and Danny - He spoke to me thru your music that night and I am forever grateful - Glory to God and Bless you Brother
I am a guitarist and bass player of 40 years. I would put Phil Keaggy up against ANY guitarist of the past 60 years as far as technical skill and talent. He would meet or exceed any. But he is not into this for fame and glory and gold. He just loves playing and leading others to the Lord Jesus Christ. Thanks Phil for enriching my life. All the Best, Jeff
Dude is so good. One of the best EVER. NOBODY makes Christian music like Phil makes Christian music. He is a true disciple. God gave him a few gifts, and he utilizes every single one of them to glorify the Kingdom. What a guy.
My heart aches for God. I’m one of the old guys from the 70’s he mentioned, and though I’ve been adrift, God has used Phil’s talent to anchor my heart in Him. Thank you for yielding to His will, Phil.
well the religion thing is not really me but being a guitarist myself I think Mr Keaggy deserves more recognition as a guitarist and this is the first time I am hearing him play. I knew of him but I had never heard him play before this. Very nice
Frighteningly good. As a long time musician there are so many parts of this performance that bring me to tears of joy. No human is timeless but the Lord appears to have bent the rules a little bit in your case Phil.
I play with guys who are at present lost in secularism and who strive to be even distantly close to Phil's level of playing, thinking that this is the summit of life. Please pray for me as I interact with these guys and try to bring the Good News to them. Thanks all!
Wow such impeccable timing and craftmanship plus his timeless boyish voice. Just as I remember him. He reminds me of my first love with Jesus. You've aged well.
Many years of listening and going to performances and still listen as if it was the first time I heard you, Phil. I thank God for you and your love of God and the gift He has given you.
God is incredible, Phil is overflowing with God's blessings. He's one of the best guitar players with such a glorious sound...and he's missing a finger! Come on, how is that not awesome. Thank you Jesus!
as long as I can remember from the days of Glass Harp's first album. to now -coming home to put aGlass Harp album on after indulging in the world , I would find peace in listening, then came believing in Christ, finding true peace , keep up the good gift you have Phil , making people feel at home.
Thank you much Phill, as a man thinks so is his heart . I'm grateful for your love, devotion, & surrender to our Lord Jesus and sharing His good news ,and peace with so many folks. And friends , and family, thanks for your sister who introduced you to Jesus's saving grace.. Bless You & family for years to come. Amen !
While not a religious man myself, this guy is INCREDIBLE! Why have I not heard of him before? He seems like such a beautiful human being and a credit to musicians everywhere. Wow!
I guess there are many incredible musicians that never get the recognition they deserve. So the fact that you have been able to avoid Phil is probably not a big mystery. On the other hand, I do believe that him being very clear in his proclamation of the gospel has probably not helped his career outside of the Christian music scene. Not that I hold this against him in any way. I really wouldn't Phil to be any other way than just the way he is.
Gareth, Phil is a definite wonderful Christian example & he is one good example of one who "walks the walk" & "talks the talk" !!! There is no "hypocrisy" just like Jesus Christ/Yeshua Homaschiach !! I have known about Phil Keaggy since 1978!!
@@RonSafreed His playing is so good it makes me actually cry sometimes. The combination of incredible technique and what he does with it plus his warm personality coming through. Say hello to him from me here in little old New Zealand :-)
Have followed him since seeing him in Pittsburgh at Southminister Presby in ‘68 and at St. Andrew’s Presby in Irmo, SC in 2012. Incredible musician and a spirit filled messinger from God. Bless you Phil !
Phil is such an inspiration, but I’m sure he gives God all the glory for being such an amazing guitarist and songwriter. His childlike voice never seems to age. This is the best Wheaton College show yet.
Think I saw him play somewhere around Wheaton in the early 2000s Love watching Phil! Would love more live content - he's such a legend. I've been blessed to see him in concert twice in my lifetime.
Phil you have always used the current technology to add depth and so much more for your audience to enjoy. So unique a live improviser. Thank you so much form for the blessing your gift has been to me for decades, your faithfulness to God and to us the listeners. Looking forward to heaven and the continual symphony we will all be a part of.
All Glory to The King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Keep up the great work continue to Glorify God as we see the Day fast APPROACHING. Thanks a million for your wonderful witness for such a time as this. Take care and God bless you and your family and the family of God.
Increíble la creatividad de Phil Keaggy, es como ver a Johann Sebastian Bach tocando la guitarra de rock. Se nota que la inspiración le viene de lo alto, como al maravilloso Alte Perücke. God bless both geniuses. Un ejemplo de hermano en Cristo.
I was at the Phil Keaggy concert, I think it was 1980 or 81. Phil had gotten up halfway through the concert and informed us that his father had passed away. But continued through the rest of the concert. It was a great concert.
Youré are just great! I was touched by the first seconds whe your sound appears while Utubes runs in the background. Immediatly that kick, says quit but clear to you: Set the volume higher and listen to that! Wow, now at minute 9:06 there´s no doubt. How crazy amazing are you man. Love it, love it, love it so much. Yes, 39:03 great future. Gonna listen your stuff for long and for shure more than often...;-) Chapeau Bro, really nice to meet you.
Long time Phil Keaggy fan here. I'm looking for my old guitar teacher, Allan Martinez who turned me on to Phil back in the late 70s. If you know him, please let him know I'm looking for him. Thanks
you see mainstream musical talent that sometimes cant carry a tune or even make it to the stage, this guy shredded that guitar and sang on tone effortlessly, benefits of a clean lifestyle I think
Yes it is and Perhaps Only True Believers gives a more Virtuoso Exemplar of Phil's Mastery~! And This Version of TB is maybe the Best of All The TB Recordings it comes a bit later in Phil's Career when His Style and Voice had Matured a bit - Give it a listen HERE: ua-cam.com/video/Pz8KfYD67CI/v-deo.html Tears, Passion, In Yeshua ~anthony, Olam Convocation of Ministries.
Phil, I'd love to know how many of and what brand/model of looper you use. You make it appear so effortless. Thank you for making such beautiful music!
God really did make his guitar fall in love. I think he meant that literally in My Guitars In ❤️Let me edit this. He really is a citizen of heaven. As Larry Norman would say wowy zowy....🎉
Thank you, Heavenly Father!!! I was blessed enough to hear Phil’s music in the ‘90’s! Great musician! Great witness!!!
❤

That man just totally worshipped through his guitar and he brought everyone who listens on the journey with him. Praise God
Not grandparents! Just parents.
And Phil, you’re not old !!!!
Awesomeness!
The great Phil Keiggy ! Stay blessed

I too am an old hippie Jesus freak. Got saved in the seventies. I was at Wheaton for a Keaggy concert. Yelling for “Time”!!! Our “Free Bird”

Tears of joy is right. I saw him do a similar set in person at Park Cities Presbyterian Church a number of years ago that kept me in tears of joy.
Phil Keaggy is one in a million. Make it a billion! Man, is he great at that guitar 🎸.
What u said, for sure. My bro introduced me to him just recently.. Phenomenal performer, amazing!!!!💚💚😁😁😁

Filled with The Holy Spirit and pouring out for our benefit
Another amazing performance Phil, Thank you! God Bless!
In addition to being a masterful guitarist and performer, Phil Keaggy is one of the most genuine and nicest man you’ll ever meet.
That's so true. I know, because I know him. He actually came to my sister's house and played at my birthday party.
Many years of listening and going to performances and still listen as if it was the first time I heard you, Phil. I thank God for you and your love of God and the gift He has given you.

When he gets to heaven, he will get it back.
27:29 The best version of Make you feel my love ever recorded. It's what the song always deserved and never got. Thanks Phil.

Simply fabulous, I enjoyed that immensely.

He has an enormous catalog of work, much of which is still available. I’ve enjoyed his work since the 70s.

One last big thought. God Bless You Bernadette for sharing your guy with us...the WORLD.

Ah, I love this guy. Great talent, sense of humor, and heart.
I was there!

Gosh! Absolutely fantastic! Thank God for you!
My first time seeing this amazing talent. Phil you are very inspiring. God bless you my friend.
Saw Phil perform at Grace Chapel Lexington MA around 1996. Amazing!!
Think I saw him play somewhere around Wheaton in the early 2000s
Love watching Phil! Would love more live content - he's such a legend.
I've been blessed to see him in concert twice in my lifetime.
Gifted, blessed and still sharing his talent for the Lord!

Love you, Phil. May God's grace shine brightly upon you and loved ones this day and eternally.
Good grief he is so good. Gives me goosebumps… what a treasure he is.
I saw Phil with a band at Wheaton College back in 1988. Randy Stonehill was part of that band, and Sunday's Child had just come out...

Amazing! Praise God!
Extraordinary axe..Bonus is his voice seems to be across between Mcartney and Geddy Lee. Thank you for your witness, Phil
Funny you should mention McCartney, as he is one of Phil's biggest influences. There is a picture of the two of them somewhere.
Yes. Go Beatles ...
@@kenshiloh very nice
Lol how many insanely difficult guitar techniques can one man fit in 1 song!

Phil, I knew your music today and I love it... I'm Welton from Brasil
Phil doesn't read these.
@@johnwilson7809 It doesn't matter
Am I dreaming or do I hear, " Dear Prudence" in that walk down (Giver of Amazing Grace), and Paul McCartney when Phil hits those high notes?
So good
I bet if his guitar could speak it would cover every language known to man!!!
Grandios!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fantastic 👍👏✌
Hi Phil this is "E" we met at Gumburo church in Delaware on concert dinner and you sign a magazine for a friend of mine God bless you
LOL, Phil isn't reading these.

The reason he still sounds fresh in his 70s
Great, especially the opening number
Wow!
Guitar and vocal mastery. Close my eyes and think that Paul McCartney came to Christ and plays for the J-Team.
Glad I was named after him
Alléluiah 🙏 La grâce de Dieu 🪂
"Shades of Green" is extraordinary (starts at around 14:28).

He went to Calvary to make you feel His love.
Who has counted the number of times Phil mentioned the name of Jesus?
Why would anyone do that?

Not too bad for a 61-year-old guy, huh? Today he is 72, still performing, and to date, he has released 55 albums!
You a bard for God in these troubled days

Hmm, I’d love to hear him playing his own version of some Rolling Stones and The Beatles.
Definitely a talented guitarist 🎸 with amazing creativity.
