2017 Ford Transit Connect drivers door latch replacement

this video is very similar to a Ford Fiesta door latch setup but they use a metal plate inside the door handle to hold it to where on the Connect you just give it a little push towards the front of the car and the whole assembly pops lose.

Thank you so much!!! It now makes sense… horrible, horrible sense. Why would ford of Europe create such a POS design? Before I got on, UA-cam, I kept taking apart more and more, just like you lol glad there’s a light at the end of the tunnel.

Is there a built in sensor on these? I have the driver door ajar light on in dashboard.

The sensor is in the latch assembly. You'll need to replace the latch to clear it. I just did it on the drivers door, because the light wouldn't come on and the door open indicator never actuated, so the radio didn't automatically shut off.
