I just replaced the GPS module for the ix5 since the cord just fell apart, (power cord did also-motor guide said that is a common problem). Gps will not connect after reinstalling but all other control functions work with remote. Motor guide told me to take to dealer (75 miles away-nice option) as it could be the new modular or the circuit board. Can the module be tested? Motor worked was fine in all functions before I replaced the modular. Do the new modular’s work with the older circuit boards.?
Is there a warranty on the replacement part of will I have this same problem again in less than two years?

How did you know the module needed replacement. I have don an upgrade and the updates but the blinking red light still shows
Great Video! My Xi5 couldn't acquire GPS at the end of last season. All of the other features would work, the motor would turn, speed up/down, and prop on/off. It is linked to my Lowrance. Is this the only part that really controls any aspect of GPS? Just want to know before I order this part. Thanks for your help.
The Control Board can also cause GPS issues, but with all of the other functions working fine, I’d lean more towards the GPS Module.

I am very confused when I purchased my xi3 it said it had GPS and sonar but now I have to buy an extra unit I thought it would have anchor lock built into it since I purchased the one with GPS and sonar so I have to buy this kid to get anchor lock

Do you sell these parts like gps modules.paid 1800.00 something for my xi5 mostly for heading lock for trolling .it goes every were but were i set it too.if i was a rich man i would make video of me ripping it off n throwing it the lake. Watching your video gives me hope i can fix it n didnt waste my money thanks

I would start by trying to re-calibrate the compass and mounting angle of the GPS Module. We have a couple of videos on our channel that will walk you through that.
If you're still having the same issue after re-calibrating, you may need to replace the GPS Module.
is this part good for 2018 model?
Yes, it will work on all Xi3 and Xi5 models.
