Lyrics:
O sing a song of Elturel
Of water, woods, and hill
The sun dawns on her ruddy cliffs
And fields green and still.
This land of long-abiding joy
Home of the strong and brave
Renowned by all, across the realms,
And never once a slave.
O sing a song of Elturel
When foes are at her door
Her fields torn by cloven feet
From some infernal shore.
Arise the mighty Hellriders
Take up your swift, keen swords
Then charge into the hellish fray
And scatter devil hordes.
O sing a song of Elturel
And when the night does fall
Sleep safe beneath Companion's light
Until the dawn does call.
We're bound by mortal covenant
That only ends with death
And so we'll sing of Elturel
Until our final breath. - Розваги
THIS IS MY CAMPAIGN! THESE ARE MY PLAYERS! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
ITS YOUUUUUU THANK YOU GM
YOOOO HI GM
We appreciate all GMs, thank you for your hard work!
what greater magic spell was used
atleast i suspect it was great magic
because as far as im aware no 9th level magic or below can do this
the alternative idea of what i can imagen did this was that so much chaos was caused that the city was strait up pulled to another plane of existance sort of like what the modrons do to pull things into the plane of absolute order.
i doubt a bag of holding in a bag of holding could do this much damage it might take out a couple city blocks but this is a whole city and it wouldnt use an eclipse
i must know what was done here
@@drecknathmagladery9118 if this is an actual question Then answer is in descent into avernus
Cami's Angelic Voice and Shannon's beautiful visual story telling harmonize together so extravagantly, making you drift off into this told tale
This has been really glorious Song of Elturel ever Cami-Cat really you have outdone it with real splendid singing and the animation is unbelievably epic, i love it
What a lovely song… 8.5/10 👏👏👏
Now where is my Paladin Song? 🤣
I’m using both the oldest and common versions for my descent into Avernus campaign
This was a great moment in my campaign. we started at level one at Elturel, so the players witnessed the city fall. In the wake of the devastation the survivors sang this song in the refugee camp. Wish I could have given it half your gravitas!
I thought the party starting in Elturel made for a better plot hook than starting in Baldurs Gate. Players are saving their home instead of their neighbors lol
Damn I wish I had this when I ran my Avernus Campaign. Would have made that moment the party hears the song ten times more epic!
I'm running Descent into Avernus and this is what I needed to set the mood for my players even though we're past the singing voice at Elfsong. Anyway, thank you this was a wonderful rendition.
This tear-jerkingly beautiful. The visuals are breathtaking, and Cami’s lyrics and vocals are so melancholic I can’t help but pay my respects to those who passed.
EDIT: Had to fix a typo.
Lyrics arent hers though! But granted the song is still beautiful
"As the voice fades around you, the stunned expressions of the other patrons suddenly burst abuzz with cheer! 'Why, I've had my fill here every tenday for some seven decades now and not once has the song done that!' cries an old dwarf, ' 'tis truly a most intrguing phenomenon! Did anybody catch that last line?' mumbles an old man wearing the robes of the Avowed.
However, as the voices fade into an indstinct droning of excitement, mystery, and cheer, a different sensation takes hold in your minds: though the lights of the torches and the smell of mead fill should put your hearts at ease, you can't shake this feeling of... sorrow. A deep and powerful grief takes hold of you, as though your souls are yearning for something they have known all their lives; for but a moment you look at each other and see the sinking feeling in your companions' eyes, like the very bones of the world are cyring out in anguish, and you alone can hear them.
And after a heartbeat, the feeling fades. You're safe, in the tavern, in Baldur's Gate... but you cannot help but feel as though a tether is pulling on you onwards, elsewhere, towards some strange fate. What do you do?"
"Without a shadow of a doubt, I sling my backpack over my shoulders, leave a gold piece tip and collect my weapons at the door. I think it's high time we set out, for how are we to weave our own fate from nothing?"
@@prisoner6266
A stranger from beside the fireplace claps a heavy tome closed and skips beside you, a hood covering all but the wide grin on their face. "The curse and burden of mortals is to forge fate from dreams. And it sounds to me you've heard the quivering ink of your calling, urging you to write. Room for one more in your venture?"
@@clayxros576 But of course, the more the merrier! A pleasure to meet you, er...
@@prisoner6266
"Crossro. Chronicler and Artificer, at your service." He pulls a page from his book, the surface glimmering in the dull night with a white glyph. "I specialize in runecrafting, using paper as my medium. Handy for when I take notes too."
@@clayxros576 "Wonderful, brilliant, pleasure to make your acquaintance. Arlo Howarth, at your service; gadget-maker, thing-taker and merry-maker extraordinaire, even if I am tooting my own horn a bit. I specialise in getting into and out of secure locations, with a little help from a pocketful of mechanical friends." He picks a handful of clockwork and filigree machines out of his pocket, twiddling them around before replacing them and picking up an ostentatious brass-and-blackwood cane. "I believe we'll make quite the team."
Crying, shitting brick, cause this brings back sooooo many memories. Even a year after the campaign finished I still loved this song and you bringing it to life with visuals makes my heart bleed
This song really makes me want to play descent into Avernus
Everyone should play DiA! But only the Remix by Justin Alexander. The original book is… very disappointing.
@@AlexRybitski For real... DiA could have been, and should have been, THE great epic of the 5e era. And instead, it's a railroad of nonsense that falls apart the moment you actually think about anything that's happening.
@@Rystefn Good thing Justin Alexander fixed it and turned into something incredibly fun and epic!
@@AlexRybitski where can one find the remix?
I was like, "Shit..." at the ending. Holy crap this was such an amazing song and story told
chills litteral chills. Well done Miss Cami-Cat
Well this will be perfect for use in my upcoming decent into Avernus game. Thanks cami
The vocal range was amazing. Always good at portraying epic dnd stories
OMG, this is glorious! Shannon's art are so good and the song sounds entrancing, what a wonderful thing! 👏🏻
This means so much, you published this just as we were in the end game of our Descent into Avernus, and our DM played this for us just as we were starting to wrap up. It was a perfect way to cap off the campaign, so thank you so much!!
Love the song and how you sang it in elvish that's so cool keep it up love the music
Really enjoy these Dungeons and Dragons original songs, they really bring out the atmosphere and feeling of the game.
Great job! 👏👍🔥
This is one of the songs I can just put on repeat and listen to in the background.
This made my day that much better just by hearing a new song by you, keep up the amazing work.
This is one of my new favorite songs now, Cami. This is incredibly beautiful.
Yay! Another upload from Cami-Cat! amazing job once again! I can hear and feel the emotion in the song. Good job! love your work
this song, makes me yearn for something that in which i have never felt before, its so haunting yet beautiful at the same time
cami-cat
Thank you for another fantastic so have a marvelous Tuesday🙏🏾✌🏿
Another fantastic job. Keep up the amazing work
Wow, that one banger of a cover, can't wait for this to be on Spotify and can't wait for your next song to come out
Geez this song gave me goosebumps each time I listened to it. Very well done Cami-Cat!
This gave me chills I love it! Sending this to my DM. We are currently running Descent into Avernus so I'm sure that he'll love this
Gorgeous as always!
Lovely version of the song! Wrapped up this campaign last year so now I wanna run it again using this song!
(Tiny Lulu's were amazing in the art 💜)
This is a song that is wonderful for in game down time and/or to add gravity to the players situation. Once a great unconquerable city once stood until without knowing was wiped off the planet. My dm actually sent me a link to this video because my character in game in game feels she’s lost her purpose (also she’s a huge Danarei Milos fan, and he likes to motivate my character with her songs or songs with deep meaning) all I can say is this has brought my character to an understanding that if she doesn’t want to lose what she has she’ll has to be willing to fight and protect it
Thank you for this it's incredible
Whoa... that was a cool video! And another great song! Great work, Cami!
amazing work as usual cami-cat. currently playing in an avernus game and man this fits the mood of that moment in the tavern
Boy, that escalated quickly.
Lovely song and great visuals.
You sing in both common and elvish. You are so amazing
I remember running Descent into Avernus and reading about Elturel, I have a soft spot for lost cities. This song brought back those same feelings of curiosity and wonder.
This is an incredibly beautiful piece, the Elvish version even more so! You truly are an IRL bard.
Thank you so much! I used it in my Descent into Avernus campaign and it was frickin beautiful moment
i love the song and the background insturmetal is amazing great job on it cami-cat
I want to run an Avernus campaign 90% because of how evocative this video is. Well played.
This song feels like a lone survivor commending their fallen comrades ;o;
I’ve just recently gotten into dnd, I now understand what makes it so distinguished. The community is so beautiful and amazing, and births these wonderful stories and songs.
thats a beautiful song - it honestly gave me goosebumps
brb gotta send this to a couple people and listen to the elvish version as well
This is such a great song!!
*ANOTHER Cami-Cat DND SONG!!!!* 😄😄😄
I’ve been playing decent into avernus and I’m not gonna lie I have been holding back tears rn
That was beautiful. I'm DMing Avernus right now and wish I had this when they were in the Elfsong Tavern. Amazing work.
Gosh this is amazing
Been playing Descent into Avernus this year, amazed by this song. And also amazed by those poncy Elturelan's needing proper warriors from Baldur's Gate to come and save them!
saying i played DiA, this song hit harder than it should've. way to go cami! another banger in the books!
this is so lovely!!! 🥰🥰
This is the actual best version on the internet. Hands down.
Powerful song and the animation was great. Really brought back memories of that campaign
Your amazing music makes me sad and I need more!
After 2 1/2 years in Avernus (Once a week every week for that long) this song came up in a pivotal moment of mortal courage... Damn fine work!
This is amazingly beautiful
I played this during the last scene of my second session of Avernus tonight, and my players, along with Alan Alyth, Skoona, and everyone else at the Elfsong Tavern sat and listened to the whole thing, taking notes. It was great. :)
This is absolutely beautiful. I wasn't expecting to tear up during my lunch break, but this is happening.
Ah! fantastic! brilliant! thanks as this will be very heplful laterly!
This song gave me chills. Wonderfully made song and your voice makes it sound like an angel sang that as a fable to the young heroes.
Funny, I'm actually been playing Avernus right now, then II find this wonderful song. Great work, Cam!
Recently I've kind of gotten bored of D&D but hearing this song makes me think of all the cool worldbuilding and lore aspects of D&D that I never really explored and oooh, it makes me want to play again!
Chilling and beautiful as a hymn in church!
I mean your music is always amazing, but this one just was like a punch. Left me speechless in a really good way. Like, dang wow....
Ah couple of years ago I listened to a group play descent into avernus, was really gripping and tragic, this song brings back so many memories
No idea of the inspiration but is absurdly beautiful both visually and audibly!
It’s in the Baldur’s gate decent into Avernus Campaign book
@@cubeul2943 Very kool thank you.
Wow this is so beautiful 😍
In one word: Amazing.
How have I never thought about a songbird music box? That is such a brilliant idea! Wonderful song Cami! You are an amazing artist.
Thank you! The bird is Joule, my artificer Ren's homunculus. He built in a music box so Joule can play little tunes for the party, and when we reached the Song of Elturel scene I knew he had to add it! :)
@@hragon3898 It was such a great addition and thank you so much for adding it in. What a fantastic idea for a homunculus. If you don't mind me asking, does Joule have any unique abilities for being a music box or is it purely flavor?
@@roberthodges1045 Thanks! And nope, no special mechanics, just for flavor!
This hits hard, ooof. Lovely lullaby and then, wham.
Wonderful Song i hear it, it's emotional and gorgeous cami-cat and i love the epic much.
My players are going to Elturel. Thank you soooooo much for this.
- a grateful Dungeon Master
Another amazing song by the ever enchanting Cami Bard extraordinaire and Mistress of song
My crew started Descent today and I played this for them, what a lovely song!
really nice!
Shared both with my Descent into Avernus campaign player's and DM. So good.
This is amazing. I'm sending this to my players that just started Descent into Avernus.
Ngl the timing in this song was amazing, it has been fueling me for the past two weeks I’ve been preparing to run Descent into Avernus and I swear I WILL find a way to insert this song into the campaign one way or the other 😤
Oh its given to ya, this song is in the module!
I'm speechless. Left actually sobbing. I'm DMing DiA now and this was flawless
master piece
Everytimei listen to this song it reminds me my first dnd game was Desent into Avernus. A memory I'll always remember and hold dear.
What a coincidence I just bought decent into avernus, love the rendition
Another awesome Cami-Cat song! Not familiar with the setting, but I loved the art and animations
God Damn this is good. Brings back memories, of the finest squad of the flaming fist I ever served with.
Our DM shared this with us today during our campaign. I got legit chills.
gave me chills
I was about to start DMing Descent into avernus, those two songs came at the perfect time!
"For us, it was a rag tag party of adventurers asked to take down a small cult, little did we think it would lead us to a road of saving the city of Elturel, nor to the fires of Avernus, 4 of us left, none of who left came back, sure they may look the same outside, but those who came back, were nothing like those who left, some changed for the better and others for the worse, but what can I say, this life is not for everyone"
- Spanner year XX94
Beautiful, simple as that.
I played this and the elvish version simultaneously. makes it even better :D
waiting one verse before starting the elvish version is also a cool canon
Wow... Just, wow.
And Amazing.
And Awesome.
But actually just Wow.
Oh man, I so wish this existed when I was still running that adventure hahaha. So much better than non-musical me reading the lines like a poem
Having just ran Descent into Avernus this is wonderful
My DM played this for us when we started our Descend into Avernus game, it was beautiful
I'm gonna start running this campaign this month. Convenient timing, that
Glorious
I remember this playing in the Elfsong and my character was the only one in the party who understood Elvish. Amazing
As flawed as Descent into Avernus is, I love it. It was the first complete adventure I played and it was such a memorable and epic journey. I was even able to DM it for some younger players as part of my school’s D&D club. I always liked the Elfsong tavern, especially once I reskinned it with a personal touch to become the Hellbourn, a bar created and ran by my elven rogue Sylos and his tabaxi druid friend Pan from when I played the adventure. It’s great to be able to actually hear the song, especially since it’s performed and illustrated so amazingly, instead of just reading it off of a page
i dont play D&D but i still think we can all agree:
this is beautiful, the visuals and the song.
