    I really like how you let the notes/repeats ring during the demo. Really makes it easy to tell apart the character of each delay pedal here. thx!

    I really love my reecho (especially the tapeecho setting)
    It's great for classic rock (use as slap back delay). On top of that, the pedal covers a lot of styles and is really versatile.
    I don't use much pedals. I have a delay, a chorus and a phaser on my pedalboard.
    Dirt and reverb settings from the (JVM210) amp.

    I love your style. Before I watched this, I thought I wanted a repeater, but now I KNOW I need to get the Reecho first, then maybe a repeater....

    Great demo, thanks for pointing out the subtleties of each pedal. As a big delay and echo fan I use the Repeater, Reecho and the Echolizer, all A/B'd with Mooer (small amount of overdrives) and Strymon reverb. BIG sound. I've watched your other videos and including your sense of humour, you take the time to explain and then demonstrate, making things very understandable. Thanks.

    YES. I got on the web this morning wondering "why in the hell does Mooer make 4 delay pedals and how are they different", and you have answered all of my questions. I have the Reecho already, and after watching this a would probably get the Ana Echo if I buy another echo- for something different.

    I've seen countless UA-cam delay/echo demos, but really enjoyed this one above most of the others- entertaining and great comparisons. The Echolizer and Repeater sound the best to me, although I enjoyed the others as well. I have some nice delays (DMM, DD-2, DD-7, Maxon, etc.), but I think you've sold me on these two- can never have enough delay! :D

  • @pyrotas

    The problem with BBDs and long delay times is that notwithstanding the cost of the device the signal gets progressively more degraded as you increase the number of buckets (thus the delay time).

    Here's what I hate about delay reviews.I use an analog delay for one purpose only, slapback echo. That is never included in these demos, just a bunch of noodling, nobody ever demonstrates them by playing rock 'n roll, rockabilly, roots rock, ec.

    • @smartacus88

    • @miguelpessanha

      I have an Aqua Puss and a Ana-echo. I have the Ana-echo as a mini backup. It's perfect for viby mellow solos and it works very well as a slapback, my only problem is that is a bit too dark, and it darks up all of your tone just like a DM-2. The Aqua puss e a bit brighter doesn't much up your tone as much, hence being on my board. I would probably perfer to have the Echolizer instead of the Ana-echo which is the Maxon/Ibanez AD-9 clone for being not so dark. Hope that helps.

    Love your reviews. Informative and entertaining all at once. I've been looking for a reasonably priced delay that can do 1000 ms. Looks like Mooer will be the one I go for. Still expensive for a Chinese pedal, but cheaper than Boss and as good of better. I'll keep a look out for something by one of the other "good but cheap" brands while I save my nickels and dimes for a Repeater.

    how are the circuitry noise on these? any popping when engaging the pedal?
    try turning the volume off on the guitar, turn the amp up, then turn off and on the pedals. it'll show you the base circuitry noise of the pedal when engaged as well as if it pops or not.

    Hi EytschPi42, great reviews! I'm thinking about the d-seed, repeater or reecho, what would you recomend?is it the harley benton/joyo d-seed as good quality and sounding as the mooers?
    Thanks man and keep reviewing!!!

    • @EytschPi42
      @EytschPi42  10 років тому

      Hi, hmmm... tough to say. The D-Seed has its advantages, the Mooers are smaller. The MOD Delay on the D-Seed is killer though. Just check out my D-Seed demo and decide for yourself. The thing is, the REECHO has no digital delay and the REPEATER has no analog and Tape... The D-Seed has digital and an analog simulation... so that might be the choice... maybe...

    Hi EytschPi42. Great video and explanations. :)
    I just want to get a Steve Lukather kind of delay in I'll be over you and rossana, which of these delays would u recommend me?
    I'm thinking reecho tape delay settings.

    • @EytschPi42
      @EytschPi42  10 років тому +1

      Tough to say which kind of Delay he used... let me check if I can find any info on that...
      OK, from what I could find he is NOW playing digitech HARDWIRE delays. His board has 2 of them on it and they say DDL 1 and DDL2, so I would assume they are set to a DIGITAL DELAY. In that case the REPEATER would probably be closer... but really, you can't go wrong with the REECHO, great pedal for the price. BUT, the Joyo D-Seed gives you Digital delay and an analog delay sound with an A/B function to switch between the two... not bad either... check out my video....

    I'm even more torn now!!!! Thanks a lot! Lol jk. But no really I have to get the repeater and the reecho now. I was planning on just getting the recho but you sold me on the repeater as well. I already have an aqua puss analog delay so and and "I stomp" if you know what that is which I can load whatever delay to. I'm building an ambient sound for swells and getting that "wash" underneath my guitar, so I'm going to stack them all. I have my eye on the strymon el cap but I think for now I'll get the recho and the reapeter and use what I already have. Buying a neunaber stereo wet reverb as well. Any opinions on my choices to achieve the sound I'm looking for? Thanks for the video and great playing like always!

    • @EytschPi42
      @EytschPi42  10 років тому

      Hi Andre, well, none of these four can really go all the way out there and sound strange or over the top, but the one of these four that would sound the most experimental is the REECHO because it has tape delay!

    • @EytschPi42
      @EytschPi42  10 років тому

      EytschPi42 oh... and if you want to go really strange and out there... you'd have to spend some money and get an EL CAPISTAN from Strymon... or the TIMELINE of course!

    • @EytschPi42
      @EytschPi42  9 років тому +2

      Maníaco Metal Analog deals work great with distortion... for making solos a little smeary I would use the Ana or the Echolizer... or check out the Joyo Time Magic..... you have to put the delay being the distortion though!

      ThatStupidPunk DEFINITELY the Joyo Quattro... one of the best delays out there and for a killer price... I just recorded some demos for overdrives and used the Quattro again... four modes and all great... for more ambient stuff use either the MOD setting with some chorusing or the FILTER setting where the delays get sent through a Low Pass Filter... VERY cool stuff !
