British Offsite Factory Tour: Advanced Manufacturing for Cold Formed Steel Frame Building Systems

Dave Cooper visits with Grant Mettam, Operations Manager with British Offsite, an offsite manufacturing and construction company in Braintree, England.
Get a behind-the-scenes look at the Skyline factory, their first advanced manufacturing facility producing cold formed steel frame panels as part of their UniPanel system range which includes light gauge panels, walls, roofs and floors alongside internal fitout modules, under the BOS Fitout brand, including bathroom components, kitchen and bedroom products.
This location also serves as a test facility to ensure the practical application of technology and automation as British Offsite is set to open a new 137,000 square foot factory in Great Notley, Braintree in May of 2023. The new £6m automated production line is being delivered by Swedish partner Randek AB and will employ over 180 people once fully operational. The Skyline factory of 62,000 sq ft will remain in operation once the new factory opens.
