He was kind enough to show us around and tell us all about the animal exhibits. Birds, jungle cats, snakes, butterflies, hummingbirds, and more in a tropical rain forest paradise setting. Hi Lee,
Just returned home from La Paz last week and my family was very disturbed by the (micro) small enclosure for the male Jaguar. It was so sad to see this in your beautiful gardens. He literally can only walk 10 ft back and forth on a cement path....i'm hoping you have something in the works SOON to get him the proper amount of space needed. We stayed at the Peace Lodge 14 years ago as well and loved it, but this time we had a different feeling with some of your cages used for these wild animals. The monkey exhibit was a terribly sad/smelling place as well. The monkeys were huddled together trying to get warm in the dampness, low sunlight area, no natural trees/leaves and the only branch undercover from the rain was covered in feces. We loved the lodge last time and this time, but please please take extra care of these wild animals here!!!
