  • I think the Leningrad Dutch is a great weapon against d4, and the London System, also perfectly suitable for the beginner.

Man, what is the microphone you use? I was listening to this via headphones and I must say, the clarity of sound is amazing!

I would really appreciate it if you do a game on London vs Leningrad

I hear you, except that very few London players will ever meet the Leningrad Dutch, one of the reasons I'm suggesting it for black!

@@ChessBootCamp Well then, if you yourself face the London why don’t you play the Leningrad for a video. Would be an honour to learn.

Whites DSB should go to g3 leaving g5 for the knight after Bc4 check. Thanks Ben.1. Nf6 is much more flexible after 1.d4 and against 2. Bf4, both c6 and c5 are good, c6 being tricky and c5 solid. Thanks Ben.

Yes, all the Leningrad courses I’ve looked at assume white will fianchetto kingside, but that’s one of the issues with most opening courses: they assume expert level players from the off.

What if white starts an attack early wuth h4?

I've switched to the Classical Dutch now. I'd guess a prophylactic h5 is often the answer to h4.
