A reporter once talked about how they were supposed to interview them backstage after a performance but they literally were using oxygen masks so they felt bad about asking them questions. They give it their all

Every Army whom are with them from the start knew about this. It's on their movies, docu series. They never hide anything at what's happening backstage, injuries and all. We first saw it on their WINGS Tour. They always give their all for their fans. How can you not reciprocate the love? 🥺💜

I don’t think the camera people and audience at the game or people watching the super bowel from home can handle BTS doing the halftime show, especially if they go all out like they did at this award show and if they got to do it they definitely go all out because they don’t do anything smell

The concerts are impressive. They don’t prepare such theatrical setting like this but the sets are amazing, super professional, although it’s the same performance every day feels different. Plus the crowd. It’s amazing
BTS dropped huge CB hints for their next album in the “Dionysus” performance at the end. The album was inspired by Carl Jung’s theories on Individuation. Jung believed Dionysus was the connection btwn persona-shadow-ego (see writing of persona-shadow-ego on wall in RM intro Persona Performance).
Dionysus=focus on the individual (in jung’s terms), therefore I.e. each member got a solo stage. Mythological archetypes for each members intro - Taehyung: Apollo, Jin: Aries, Jimin: Artemis, Suga: Hades, Jungkook: Poseidon, Hobi: Zeus, RM: Dionysus. Research and the horses and maidens onstage are all tied to Dionysus. The 7 lights when joined forms The Crown of Ariadne (named after Dionysus’ wife and after she died he made it into a constellation). So we’ll have to see how it transpires when they release their next album, most likely titled ‘shadow’! And @24:34 aw Greg I saw you wipe those tears:)) Understandable. Jimin is a beautiful and elegant dancer!!

By the way the horses are pre recorded so they wouldn't be hurt by the sound!

@@nataliepham6119 They record the scene with the horses before without the sound of the crowd, the explosions and the songs etc, then, during the performance, for the people watching through the tv or the big screens in the arena where the award show is being held, the image being show is the previously recorded (the sound comes from the actual live performance). If you were there at the award show and looked at the stage, there wouldn't be any horses, only if you looked at the screen. Kinda like how they do VR effects during concerts.

I was lucky enough to see BTS at Wembley stadium in London both nights in June & it was the best two concert nights of my life! And I've been to A LOT of gigs in the last 20 yrs (I'm 40!)! Their performance level is out of this world & I assure u that their stadium shows are just as spectacular, if not more (tho no horses or other live animals! ;-) They actually borrowed some staging frm their tour for this performance so u can just imagine! I can't wait for their next album & tour. Idc how much it costs, it's so worth it!

Their choreo, MVs, Corden/Fallon stages & K-stages were masterpieces (so sad they cudn't have audiences on the K-shows but understandable), I cud tell they worked SO HARD & passionately for this, as always. I love the whole album & solos but my personal fave songs are Louder than Bombs & We are Bulletproof: the Eternal. I know when they finally get to tour, hearing them sing WAB: the Eternal will be the end of me...but totally worth it!
@@ButterflyLilyElla Exactly I totally loved the album although LY: tear still remains my fav album. My personal favorites are zero O'clock, my time, shadow and louder than bombs. This was literally their worst comeback because they didn't get to showcase their stages to the fans all due to this pandemic, Namjoon said they were angry they werent able to do this live for their fans or do the concert. I hope this pandemic will be over soon so that both bts and Armys will be re-united and yes, it'll be the best feeling for both the 7 artists and their armys.

The Microkosmos part, is CGI because it was filmed earlier, it gives them time to change between Boy with Love and the End Performance. Also, each of them has a unique colored Mic and Ear Piece

I loved how surprised Greg was when Jimin did his solo stage. Jimin trained as a contemporary dancer and was the top in his performing high school class. Of all of BTS, he has the widest array of dance skills. His performance brought me to tears.

I don't know about Star Wars but I do know all BTS members are HUGE MARVEL fans!! They even went to watch Endgame on opening night in the middle of busy schedules😂

one thing is for sure, bts are among those very rare artists who deserve literally every drop of fame and acclaim that comes their way. truly, i look at them and every time i feel so glad and happy that people like them are succeeding. so good to see.

Everyone had a background song that fitted them. Mindblowing performance (especially for an award show). Loved the traditional clothes etc. Nobody can denie that BTS puts a lot of time and effort to realize their dreams. It's just breathtaking

Enjoyed your reactions 😆 Jimin doing this type of dancing is because he has had a contemporary dance background as well as popping and locking, and martial arts in which he may have learned to do that flip. Anyway, throughout the performance are some of the songs they’ve done over the years. I don’t remember which ones you’ve reacted to before, but I think there’s a music video for almost all of them.
1. RM doing “Intro: Persona” and the music video is titled “Map of the Soul: Persona ‘Persona’ Comeback Trailer”
2. Boy In Luv mv
3. Boy With Luv mv
4. Mikrokosmos - no mv, but there’s a lyric video if you’re interested
5. V’s solo to instrumental remix to “No More Dream” and there’s a mv (this is their debut song/first single as BTS in 2013!)
6. Jin’s solo to instrum. remix to “Danger” (2014) which has a mv, but I actually think the dance practice is worth watching too.
7. Jimin’s solo to instrum. piano/strings version of “I Need U” (2015) has a mv. Billboard listed this as one of the songs that define a decade or something? Someone correct me.
8. Suga’s solo to instrum. remix “Fire” (2016) which I think you reacted to already.

BTS planned and coordinated all the preparations for all these MMA stages for 3 months inspite of being on tour and all the other schedules...I just get mind blown and go WOW whenever BTS does something. You can see how detailed they r and how much effort and their genius they put in everything they do. The sincerity, the obvious skills, the genius really comes through.
And yes BTS's stadium tour this year was out of this world.

Korean award shows have camera work, set designs, and pyro down to a science. I mean theyre not perfect for sure there has been lots if time when mics cut out and cameras didnt catch the best part but for the most part they are tiers above american ones. And if a major award show like mma or mama had something go wrong they'd be in some serious hot water.

I've been to 3 of their concerts in Chicago. My best tickets where I could make them out easily with the naked eye, but not there facial expressions, was $400 at a resellers.
Front rows seats I've seen go for over $1,000.

Jimin is a contemporary dance major and was the top student of his arts school, his talent is on another level. I would love to see you guys react to more performances by him
I'm glad you finally did this!! They practiced for THREE MONTHS for this performance, they honestly killed it. It's the best performance I've ever seen tbh.
Also, don't worry, Jimin's I NEED U contemporary dance solo also made me tear up.
well to be honest. They do run on treadmill and practice singing to have breath control. They've mentioned it before haha
There's a performance explanation that no one asked for :
Bts like to do this thing where they keep hints of their next album in their performance .
The introduction video is hinting at their next album . Their album Map of the soul: persona is inspired by Jung's map of the soul where Jung divides the human personality into different masks . They're focusing on Shadow,ego and persona. So the introduction is probably a hint to their new album Map of the soul:shadow with how all the shadows were walking whole they were sleeping.
They performed boy in luv which was a song from 2014 trying to represent young love and right after its sequel boy with love that shows their mature outlook towards love.
The mikocosmos was not actually just cgi but hologram that they had set up for the live performance ( it was pre-recorded but that just means they performed live to the audience just before the show started. )
The texts being shown actually says "I love you" in different languages.
The Dionysus performance:
The horn at the start represents Dionysius
Each member is acting as a Greek god
V - Apollo God of sun
Jin -Ares God of war
Jimin- forgot the name but God of Moon
Suga -Hephaestus god of fire
Jungkook-Posideon god of water
Jhope- zesus god of lighting
And finally my boy RM - Dionysus (holding his famous staff that is supposed to produce unlimited wine)
The light bulbs coming down to make a constellation represents the Corona Borealis a crown Dionysus gives to his wife Ariadne which he later places to the sky.
The ladies throwing flower petals are creating a pathway to her coronation.
Finally horses (That scene too was pre-recorded since it wouldn't be good for horses to be on the stage where there is so much fireworks and noise).
The man in the middle is wearing a mask is Demaratus who exhiled by the King of Sparta and wears a veil as a show of anger to the King that defied him ( probably a subtle shade to the big companies that try to bring bts down but you never know )
Ares is the god of war.
Artemis the godess of the moon.

I was gonna say/write that .. lol - How II love my Boys BTS ;))
But no seriously, there are medics on standby on their shows, although I think it's standard procedure for the venue (but not sure lol). We were on the standing area for their Hong Kong Love Yourself Tour, and every now and then, medics would come with wheelchairs to escort out people who've fainted or fallen ill in the middle of the concert. But I think it has more to do with the exhaustion of the actual day (especially if they've lined up for the merch beforehand), rather than actually seeing the boys.
But. I have to say that you really have to see them live, even if you're just a bit of a fan. You won't regret it, I promise. It's just that you'll have to fight for your tickets if you want good seats 😂😂😂
those types of medics and security people are present at all large concerts.
Some parts were actually prerecorded so they dodn't have to quick change. But while the footage was playing, they were on stage singing

They do meet their fans (face to face) actually at fan-meet events. Basically the boys sit at a table and the fans go down the row talking to them, giving them gifts, and getting autographs.
Only a certain amount of people can go tho (obviously, otherwise we get the “killed by accident” or sitting for 10 hrs problem) so getting in/getting tickets is pretty difficult 😂😂

Oh annnnnd BTS announced their next tour will start April 2000. As for concert experience you scream and sing along and loose most of your voice. And concert amnesia is a real thing where you straight up forget parts/songs due to being extremely overwhelmed and excited.
When he said he joined the army for BTS I laughed then I got so sad bcs I remembered Jin and yoongi having to serve there time in the Army starting this year 😟😔😔😢 but for those two years they’re gone we’ll always have them in our thoughts like I’m tearing up even thinking abt the group not being whole for so long........ great now I’m crying goddamn u Greg and your emotion envoking jokes😬✊🏾

nice reaction! you know, I noticed that many times you guys made comments like “you know they do this without vocal warmups” or stuff like that, that I know are only jokes...but the thing is, that’s not how the fanbase thinks of them or even likes to think of them. they’re not perfect, they’re human like the rest of us...part of the reason why we love them so much is because they work *so* insanely hard at their craft: from singing, dancing, performing, composing and writing music. they absolutely *do* do vocal warmups and stretching, and it’s the reason why they got this far and became so good at what they do. I know it’s a little thing and that you guys are only joking, but it’s something to keep in mind! Acting like they’re perfect only invalidates the years of hard work they’ve gone through 😊

🔹Intro Persona: what you see is prerecorded but RM did perform live for the actual audience
🔸Boy In Luv & Boy With Luv: Completely Live.
🔹Mikrokosmos: completely prerecorded. So the audience watched it on the screen. This explains all of the AR effects! Basically BTS were performing for an imaginary audience 😂 Having a prerecorded performance gives the boys time to change outfits and prepare for the grand finale performance!
🔸Dionysus: the members intros that you see were prerecorded but they also did perform it live for the audience with the exception of Jimin. His solo was completely live. RM's part was also completely live as well.
The horses were prerecorded. They werent on stage during the actual performance 😅🙏🏼.
The actual Dionysus song and dance break was performed completely live!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Rewatching this performance makes my heart beat again
i went to a concert in their last tour and let me tell u many people faint like seriously and it was so loud so loud i felt like my head was going to explode but their concert is unreal they perform for like almost 3 hours straight and the lighting is so pretty especially because of the sea of army bombs
you need to protect your ears with something. You should wear earplugs to a concert to protect your hearing:) highly recommended.

boys i made a powerpoint presentation on them and their album trilogy for my music world class in school (thats basically just about the messages in music and their impact on the world, as well as the artists, its like therapy)

I loved their MMA performance so much. I always cry at this specific Mikrokosmos performance too, the song has such a special place in my heart and seeing it performed like that is just too much for my feels to handle.
Big Hit not only got 37 minutes to showcase BTS, but wrangled another 18 minutes for their new group, txt, also worth a watch.
When he said a BTS Dance Central game... I was like , YES!!! Would so get it and that thing would sell out for sure.
One thing i adore about the reel rejects is your final thoughts/ commentary at the end.....the only thing missing was that we never caught your favorite/standout moments, Greg and John! What was your fav bit?
