As a fan of both Godzilla and Cthulhu, all I can say is... Depends on the writer. I think Godzilla would initially do enough damage to make Cthulhu withdraw, but it would be a draw at best. But since Godzilla would just get stronger over time, while Cthulhu's wax and wane, so eventually Godzilla would win. It might take 10,000 years, though. BTW, Cthulhu was not fully manifested when he was struck by the boat, so he was weaker than normal. Imnsho, that incident should not be used as a power indicator.
Cthulhu rips into Godzilla, tearing off slices of flesh. As Godzilla flies into a rage, he blasts a chunk off Cthulhu. The slices and chunk intermingle and attempt to regenerate creating a nightmare Alpha-Eldritch god. We all lose.
Wait, what? There's a "Godzilla vs Cthulhu" comic, and it's part of a boardgame, that has absolutely nothing to do with Godzilla!? Did I miss something?
Well technically that Cthulu immortality actually comes from his hidden daughter using her magic to heal him. And do not forget godzilla has practically fought every cosmic horror, different dimensions, and supernatural beast sent his way
Cthulhu is not a creature. He is an idea... And even more disturbing, Cthulhu is not a God, he is a Priest that worships Time and Space (Yog-Sothoth). Now the Real question is: Godzilla vs Nyarlathohep, the messenger of Azathoth the Blind Idiot God of the Cthulhu Mythos.
Nyarlathotep would never fight Godzilla one on one. He's a manipulator, so he would be using other kaiju to fight for him. Of course, Godzilla would defeat them and Nyarlathotep would just escape until a later date. Might make a good series of stories....🤔🤔🤔🤔

It's a bit annoying people are using Cthulhu's weakest example with the boat and comparing it to Godzilla at his strongest. If we we're going to play fair you'd have to use the Godzilla that gets killed by oxygen destroyers or Cthulhu at his strongest where he's an invincible Eldritch God that is literally unkillable.
