If you care enough, you could ask the landlord if you could repaint the tub! That happens to tubs over time when they’re older. You obviously aren’t going to get it replaced, but they might be okay with you giving it a facelift! And it’s a super easy project.

You can choose to listen or not, learn from someone else's mistakes or go ahead and make your own before figuring it out. But people are allowed to give advice from personal experience, especially when you have 10+ more years lived to share it. Most people did not shame, but rather gave constructive feedback/criticism. Your comment shows your immaturity.

I say sell your current couch, and get a corner sofa that will take up less floor space, and give you more room for other furniture. A leather couch would sell super fast in NYC.

Sounds like your tub needs to be resurfaced. The super can call someone in from a plumbing company to do that for you guys. Two caveats: 1) it’s a smelly process. 2) you might have to shower at the gym until the resurfacing process completes. MASSIVE upside, your bathtub will be as beautiful as the tile surround. Worth it in the end.

It hits home for me because I just moved as well and I love seeing content of like figuring out where you will move and such because that’s my life almost 24/7. I don’t really like the place I just moved to but it is cheap so that’s good for now. I really hope to move out of here or to another unit by next year. When I hear/see people commenting anything negative about you moving I just laugh because I feel like they don’t know how it’s like to be young at this day and age. I’m 23 at the moment and have never felt like “home” in any of the places I move because I want a house not an apartment. But life can only afford an apartment right now 😂😂 Also I LOVE your channel just venting on my own life! ❤

I know not sure if someone has already mention but seeing if your landlord can resurface maybe an acid wash the tub. Overtime it can get like that and no amount of cleaning will get it out. An acid wash is a powerful bleaching process. Resurfacing is basically just painting it.

Hi Alexis, I thought I saw wall heaters, I have wall heaters and I don't put furniture in front of them for fire reasons and proper air flow. You could put a Ninja air fryer/grill on that open counter space, If you don't already have one. Having the bedrooms on opposite ends is ideal, I get it, no hate intended. Like you said in the previous vlog, the current has served its purpose & was there when you needed to move into a new apartment. And now a new opportunity for a new living space that you are more happy with.
May be very late, but you can continue to use a cream cleanser on the bathtub to continue to get some of the stains off. It's only microabrasive & it'll also work wonders for the bench & sink.

A couple of thoughts for upgrades, the tub I know is easy enough to give a facelift to, a repaint I have seen done so many times and makes a big difference, paint, shelves plants also will give a huge lift. For the kitchen you could also do a huge lift by cabinet paint and new handles will make a huge difference and upgrade, SO many options and also plants and shelves can make a huge difference! I am sure you have thought of all these things already but just my 2 cents but I am sure you have already thought of and gotten all these feedback, I am sure you may have already done this LOL, so happy for you both and it will be amazing I am very sure! You could try some battery operated lights in the bathroom- i think you can get ones you could stick to the wall. Probably won't be as bright but at least no fan. Also check the fan has been cleaned as that can make them noisy too. That is really unfortunate about the bathtub as everything else looks so good! I would not get a mat as they get mouldy and gross. I think bennett is gonna love sprinting down that long hallway :)

If anything will work on the tub, it’s barkeeper’s friend cream cleanser. Otherwise it needs to be repainted.

There’s a powder product that’s called “barkeeper’s friend” and it is a lifesaver. Lookup videos of it. And it’s cheap. It’ll deff get the scratches out of the tub.

Maybe do a pull out spice drawer next to the dishwasher?

Bar Keepers Friend have some amazing cleaning products. The original powder is the strongest strength. Read the instructions, don't let it 'sit' for longer than 2 minutes, use a non-scratch scrubbing pad like a scrub daddy. You might find you have to use it a couple of times to get rid of stubborn stains.

You can get paint for the tub, ask at a hardware store.
