Whilst watching the rewrite, I got most of those references. But not the one about The England world cup as I'm no footie fan. I watched Shirley Valentine, a few months back. So the egg and chips thing makes sense now lol. I'm glad you decided to save Boyce. I sound immature cos I appreciate you wanted to make the special more grown up. But I always felt a sense of comfort whilst watching Fireman Sam as a child, knowing that no matter what happens, everyone will be safe at the end. But I understand you wanted to make it feel more harsh reality and "grown up" It always annoyed me that the original FS was catergorized as a preschool show. Yes, it's for kids, but it has realism, common sense, tense drama and lots of humour for an older audience. Shows for older kids like Spongebob and Fairly Odd Parents are in context, much more immature. But the edgy humour in those sort of shows get them more respect from adults than most of our old British stop motion shows 😞.
@bazbanter9329 I definable agree with you about it being more mature than other shows. It's not majorly underrated, but it would be nice to see it appreciated a bit more outside of the fandom.
@@HarveyRiversOh yeah. But what I meant by that was, FS shouldn't of been put on the Cbeebies slot with the likes of Tellytubbies and Tweenies etc, it should've been on the CBBC channel. Having Sam on Cbeebies didn't help the "baby show" accusations And from personal experiences, I was teased a lot by other kids at school for liking Fireman Sam past the age of 8/9. But shows like Spongebob and stuff on Cartoon Network at the time was mostly accepted by the other kids. If you see what I mean. I think Nia Ceidiog's writing was underrated, cos she didn't write babyish stories at all
But the CGI series does feel babyish to be fair. Of course, characters lives are still at risk in the episodes, but the characters and situations have become much more immature and mind numbing
@@bazbanter9329 Indeed. From what I remember, it doesn't feel like it's taken as seriously as the original and mabye even the 2003 series to an extent did with its emergencies.
@bazbanter9329 Indeed! I'd say Fireman Sam was more like a "Family" show (trying not to rip off James A Williams LOL) but a family show as in its directed to young kids, but can still be enjoyed by all, same with other British stop motion shows like Postman Pat (mainly series 1 - 2), The Wind in The Willows, Portland Bil, etc.
can I tell you something?, I'm planning on the future to do a series like fireman, Joshua Jones, and Starhill ponies (basically like a bumper films show lol), its going to be called, "the adventures of Farmer Tim", the story goes on Tim Lasseter, a happy farmer who lives with his 2 pals, Jimbo Jinkins and Russell Lee in which they live on the Fremantle farm. the show also got inspiration from Hello Kitty Super Style and the Pucca series from Jetix for the episodes and characters, Im planning how the series would look and I have some characters confirmed.
I love how it referenced Cgi Dilys’s shirt in this and I wonder if you would reuse Cgi Dilys’s design for Norman’s Aunt who is mentioned in The Cgi Series "Auntie Philys" and use her in you’re au?
My theory to why Molly stopped working for Wilton Cashmore is that Cashmore was involved in some high profile financial scandal which would have seen him sent to the slammer. but that's my theory at the end of the day.
@Kyranyoutubevids well I'm sorry to say it can't be down straight away, so please be patient. Plus, I don't remember if I added any references in those parts, so I'm not sure if it's worth doing it
1:35 I'm also aware John Alderton and His Wife Pauline Collins took over from Arthur Lowe when the Little Miss Series of the Mr Men started
Good video
Thanks!
Very amazing references and you work is still amazing
Thanks!
Cool references!
Thank you!

@@kylelennard9932 nice theory!
What about Parts 13-19?
So does this mean sam has PTSD from the events that took place in the seasons 1_4 or are this non cannon
He may have done at the start, but it became less strong over the years.
Still waiting for Parts 13-19. And it's like waiting for Half Life 3.
