Great tips! Sometimes when I do not want to leave Premiere, I just low the porcentage from 50 to 5.. And, why 50% it's the default in Premiere? Never works with that number!
@Readthis880 Where do you get that idea from? What editors have you worked with? What have VFX with Formats to do with your statement? I am an editor and no VFX artist. But I assure you that I will always have clear communication with VFX artists and whomever who needs the export in the correct format for them to work with. I believe that you are mixing apples with pears here. Because editors tell storys, VFX artists help the editors enhance their storytelling through visual effects, through the notes of the editor and or director. Saying that editors are the worst to work with means that you have either worked with none, or that you worked with some people who claimed to be editors and weren´t.
in my 7 years of experience i dont think ive ever seen something like this that makes my jaw drop w how amazingly put together it is. this is an insanely great tutorial
Nope After effects is a predatory product that deceives newbies via adobe's marketing. anyone pushing it drank the koolaid too. minus 1000 points in cred
Hi Chris. I'm a Senior Editor who started in the last century in a Grass Valley room with a Quantel and an ADO 3000, then jumped to NLE starting from 0 with Smoke by Discreet Logic, before moving to Autodesk. Currently I don't do much work in visual effects, rather I'm an editor of Latin American cinema where I live and where there is usually no budget and there is little VX work. Watching this tutorial, I have realized that there was still knowledge left out of my preparation and I thank you enormously for the class because I am also a post professor at a university. Excellent work of you guys. What a wonderful journey from the era of 1- and 2-inch video tape to the digital process in 4 to 8K, it's incredible everything I've experienced in an editing room.
Great to have you with us, Julio! VFX & graphics really is a whole other door to be opened in the world of editing. It's a nice change of pace from editing sometimes - you can actually play music while you work on graphics...not quite as easy to do while editing 😂
The info you're giving is so great but what's even more impressive is the way you're giving it... Very creative, helpful, straight to the point and even side advices here and there. Job so well done!
I work on several major, high ticket productions and have been in the industry for 10+ years. This is easily some of the best, most well spoken editing tips beginners should listen to. Great job team, keep up the amazing work.
Hey man, do you have any advice for people like me who are young but want to possibly pursue this as a career? A good representation of my recent work can be found on my channel. I would appreciate any advice, feedback or thoughts that you have.
I have been editing in Premiere for years and just recently got into After Effects for post production on a short film and this is by far the best tutorial I have ever seen! This is up there with the Blender donut!
Just discovered your channel and Hell yeah !!!! I love it, short video, clear, original ! In 9 years of editing ive never seen a clean video like this, im honest
Man, the sound, pace, and instructions in this video is THE best I've ever heard. It makes you feel you're in safe hands. I hope somedays you go deep into After Effects and hit up Keying, Tracking, and other effects in crazy details (for a fee for access to such instructions, of course), but it should been long, detailed, step-by-step stuff! Will be keeping a close eye on your channel and website! Thank you!
"Absolutely next-level tutorial-creative, helpful, and straight to the point with amazing sound and pacing. Looking forward to more deep dives into After Effects!"
Spent three years at a top film school. Hardly a waste of money as I built a professional network that’s getting me work, but every gap in my knowledge base has been filled in by these UA-cam videos and “The Art of Drama Editing.” You guys are great!
Very excited for the full course. Thank you for providing such intentional value, and for inspiring editors of all skill levels to continue learning and developing their skills! Very grateful for all of the hard work you all do.
Yooooooo!! I am SO HAPPY that i found this channel! Just the way that all this is taught out is soooo good i can actually follow along and understand.. Yay and Hooray for "Film Editing Pro"!
I do not usally watch the tutorial videos. Because I always think that the best way to learn is try to do something on your own. This video is really changed a lot things in my knowladge. Especially for 1st part. Thank you so much for making this video.
Now that's a tutorial! Clear, to the point and visually captivating! As someone who's more amateur at this than anything, it never ocurred to me to use AE to do things like this. I thought this was the realm of Premiere.
always thought video editing was pure mathematics and computing ish, but when you look at it, it's more about artistic sensibility, attention of details and creativity. It's pretty exciting!
really you peoples are pro on this , i was really focused when i watch this and the time was feels like it was 3 min , it is so use full please keep it up , really tnx
this video was a great help , always got frustrated when doing keying, it was never perfect , your videos was really helpful, able to key perfectly today.
That intro is so awesome ,also your every video is well edited ,this is best filmaking editing channle on internet.. love your content.. so well explained.. .congratulation for 100K
Amazing video. Very professional and straight to the point. Your channel has the best insights for us editors and I thank you for that. Please keep it up! 🎉
Nice first lesson. As a Resolve editor, I know how to perform those After Effects tips in Fusion. I've always been a little confused about what the AE null object does. I'll have to read up on it today. Good work!
The null is basically a place holder for position rotation scale unless you use expressions like combining 2 points you then link the null to stock footage footage etc to follow the motion of what you tracked but from watching action vfx all a null is the transform node in fusion after using planar tracker
I am anticipating seeing more of this training coming up, because of its impact on people’s life. If it continues, sooner or later mindset will continue to change for the better. The TUTORIAL was so innovative, informative, and instructive; linking our minds to ideas, possibilities, and unforeseen circumstances.
Welcome to the new training series, everyone! We just opened up the full 168-lesson course here: www.filmeditingpro.com/vfx 😃🎞
Great tips!

Never works with that number!
Any other videos like these coming up soon? It was really great.
This is awesome! I didn't see the full course, only 3 episodes. Where can I find it?
Hey thanks! We just opened up the course for enrollment here: www.filmeditingpro.com/vfx 👍
