As an engineer, anytime you hear one of us say, "Trust me, I'm an engineer!" you should absolutely not trust us.
In fact, that is precisely when you should trust us the least.
Plot twist: He took up civil engineering.
@@alcor4670All hope is lost then.
You’re not an engineer until you violate OSHA
@@erenchen8727 a not so wise industry engineer said, "The best way to learn any OSHA regulations is to break it."
haha that's funny, thanks for sharing it with us
If asked if he's sure he can perform heart surgery, Grant would definitely say "Trust, im an Engineer".
"You can trust me
to find a few extra bits by the end"
With epic skills and epic gear
@@nickthenuker7916 trust me I'm an engineer
@@carbonfibre01 "Oh shit, time for me to get out of here!"
Garnt : Trust me, I know an Isekai protagonist when i see one. ☠☠☠

you can see how he even left the cushion for them, he probably Hallucinate about em
Random note, love the Grunder profile pic 👌
Mt gawd ur right

trash taste: re
at first i was like "oh yeah garnt can probably do it."
and then i hear a million yen, and i was immediately "GARNT DO NOT TOUCH THAT SHIT."
tbf it uses standard parts, what made it costly is just the Asus ROG and weeb design tax
@@hucklejoko4838 even if it’s standard parts for a price tag like that it must be handled by a professional
unless its a waterloop. a 5 year old can build a pc with a tutorial.
@@jerbjerbjerb5912 I still dont trust waterloops
I'm aware that you could probs use another liquid that'd be safe if it leaks, but I heard so many early waterloops fritzing builds due to leaks. I've stuck to aircooled and it hasnt let me down yet.
@@ChemySh an aio water cooler is pretty good too tbh swapped to one from an air cooler for the last 2 year been having no problem so far
"Trust me I'm an Engineer!" every engineer's last word before disaster happens with their project
Lol😂 yup. When you say no way I can do this it works.
We call that "Famous Last Words"
Me when they welded 48" technological pipe to piperack when there should be a industrial instrument valve that client ordered 200T crane to mount that shit😢
As someone who did computer engineering in uni, people could create some crazy automated systems but didn't have any idea how to build or manage a modern desktop. When I told people I was a computer engineer, but my job wasnt building computers, they were flabbergasted 😂
Same analogy with pc builders aren't necessarily computer engineers.
Garnt having a Masters in Electrical Engineer does inspire confidence, until you remember he makes videos about anime girls for a living, and not work with electronics.
Same shit that people said to me, when they give me their pc part to built.
"you're pretty excellent at this building pc things, you must be have an IT degree huh?"
And I was like "no I'm a literature bachelor at *this university*" and they were very confused at how I have the capability to even work on their pc, lol.
Same thing with mechanical engineers that don't necessarily know their way around a machine shop outside of a supervisory position
imagine being computer engineer and STILL dont know how to build pc. bro interacting with computer is ur f,ucking job. im web dev but i know the basics of hardware
'Sometimes it takes a Gigguk to be a best PC engineer.'
"It was a Rei PC, but it broke down."
Real gems are always in chat.
"Trust me, I'm an engineer" has the same energy as "trust me, I won't do anything in the patient room"
I am not sure being an engineer gives you deep knowledge of pc building.
It gives you deep knowledge on how bad you could fuck up, really.
@@Torpid6441There is a lot you can fuck up while building your PC
@@Torpid6441you clearly and sevearly underestimate how bad i can fuck up a pc
@@Torpid6441 Sounds like someone didn't finish an engineering degree.
@@Stephanthecuteblondie2567 to be fair, if you just follow the manual, it's a just plugging components, I've made multiple pcs and the most trouble I had was losing a screw and forgetting to peel the plastic off of the cpu after thermal paste. also, the pins for the case, those are just hard to read.
“I have a Masters degree in Electrical engineering”
-Gigguk, 2018
“trust me, i’m an engineer”
“ok, where do you want us to send the fully assembled pc”
well I mean he is a engineer who had the balls to explain a COCKET to a missile design team... unintentionally.
The role of an engineer is to never underdeliver nor overdeliver their specifications... probably not the best choice when you are advertising such an extravagant model of PC.
He had a chance to say it unironically... Dream
i only had to take a single intro to engineering course in high school ten years ago to understand what "trust me, i'm an engineer" actually entails.
Grant while building the million yen PC:
"Trust me I'm an engineer,
we'll put this thing right here.
Trust me I'm an engineer,
what the f*** happened here?
Trust me I'm an engineer,
with epic skill and epic gear.
Trust me I'm an engineer,
oh s*** I think I'm outta here!"
Grants breakfast consists of "Cornflake vodka and beer"
Famous last words "Trust me, I'm an engineer."
"I'm an engineer." the last words I said before testing out my homemade rocket fuel that I concocted after watching a few UA-cam videos on it.
"whats the worst that can happen?"
My fellow engineering brothers, i just got ptsd
They really trusted him with 4 million dollars worth of Asuka computer. Man... they are trusting
Bruh literally said $6650 dollar are u on crack.
Wait, isn't a million yen like... 7k or so?
@@twopunchman9598 They converted it to USD in the video. Although OP probably uses a different dollar, I wouldn't be surprised about a currency worth 4 times lower than the Japanese yen. My home country's currency has a 163.7 Viet dong to one Japanese yen.
PC are comically high price in JP, especially with anime brand collaboration on it.
@@twopunchman9598if it has anime collab pricing can jump from 1.5x - 2x of the original price
“Hey look buddy, I’m an Engineer” - The Engineer, Team Fortress 2.
after hearing that price tag, I don't mind sending someone in to build it LMAO
0:57 the moment he knew he fucked up
I have a feeling Garnt’s gonna treat it like a Proof or Concept rather than a Production environment. 😬
if they say that line "Trust me, I'm an engineer", the first thing you should do is ask... what kind of engineer? because real talk there are quite a few occupations with engineer in their name and not all of them had things to do with each other
That is a nice PC. Like a nice pair of shoes I wouldn't even use it. Just have it displayed as a beautiful work of art.
Garnt really sold the boys for a waifu PC
"trust me, I'm an engineer!
I think we'll put this thing right here"
I'm friends with enough engineers to be deeply concerned.
Then again, that's just the default state of being friends with engineers.
0:58 Honey, wake up. A new gigguk emote just dropped 😂
Can someone give Asus employee the PC Building speedrun stream, so they'll know what Garnt really capable of
Lol when I saw the 6650 I was kinda surprised I figured it'd be more because it's Evangelion, but that's reasonable for those parts
When i dirst watched trash taste build a pc, i got so scared to the point i had PTSD flashbacks from The Verge PC build
So glad to see they got such a superstar like Asuka on the podcast!
Biggest "Should have been me" I've experienced
I'm surprised he didn't go with "Trust me, I worked at the BBC" 😂
"...and that mean I solve problems."
Had the link in the description pog
Man, I've been working with computers for quite awhile at this point and if someone said all those parts equate to $10k, I'd be sweating like the Jordan Peele meme.
"frontier justice plays" -uncledane- gigguk appears 😮
Remember too always ask the follow up question "What rype of engineer?"
This PC with his custom adult Eva keyboard is actually insane.
So did he successfully build the pc? Pls I need someone to answer😅😅
gigguk daring and brave.
As an electronic engineer, I would still watch 2 or 3 PC building videos before laying a finger on that thing.
when he said 'trust me i am a engineer' all i can think of is that one scne in the big ban theory XD
The one about repairing a drone right. Face palm after that guy open the drone while not taking a picture.
Also i am an engineers with a side of technician.
Ah yes famous last words "trust me I'm an engineer" 😂
For 6k that PC better be able to fly or something.
oh noo I saw him using the screw driver and the board is not in the case! PLEASE SEND THIS MAN SOME HELP!
From experience. If we have more knowledge and more confident in engineer. The more we rough on it.
"trust me, i am a engineer"
this phrase will be spoken moments before the end of our civilization
So the sponsor didn't see the video of the boys putting together their studio PCs and struggling.
I remember the guy who sell me the parts for my 1st gaming PC for streaming and my current job. He was about to charge building fees when this conversation ensues:
"No, i want the parts only, not the building fees"
"but you don't looks like you can build a PC"
"dude! i been shopping in this place since 2007, i been doing PC maintenance jobs since 2007. I had a degree on tecnitian, and i did systems for only 3 years, and i been making frankestein PCs for al long time. If i ask for this specific parts, i think i know what I'm looking for"
The guy watch me for 3 seconds before his own boss told him to step out and let him continue the transaction.
Also the one I had goes through 3 motherboards (a MSI A320m VH Pro +, a Gigabyte B450m Dsh3 , and now an ASUS X570), 2 CPUs (A10 9700k to a Ryzen 7 3800x), and from 8 gigs of ram in 2 sticks to 32 gigs in 2 sticks. Still can't get a new GPU due prices and the shittier economy of my country, so i'm stuck with a 1050ti.
1050ti isn't that bad however. I was able to run a heavily modified FO4 with 40fps or so. I got a 3070 when they came out as it was the only way to get a good priced card at the time but if I still had my 1050ti I would of been still pleased.
When I first saw this and I think myself if daidus saw he will freak out and he will buy this
Every engineer I have ever met has said "trust me im an engineer" at least 3 times
THERMAL PASTE! omg, tell me he did it right.
I remember the last time he built a pc it didn't go that well.
I have faith in him? After all, he is an engineer. He fixes things to make them actually work.

I clicked on the video just to see a TF2 reference, but your comment is the only TF2 reference I could find and it took disappointingly long to find
that's the most beautiful pc I've ever seen
I have so many bad IT stuff happening on Infrastructure side where it started with "Trust me, I am an engineer" said in an almost consending tone.
Needless to say, the real sys admins had to burst their arses off to resolve most of the issues while MR. Engineer was doing damage control because we didn't wanted that person anywhere near the live production anymore.
As an engineer when i say trust me do not trust me
million yen is crazy 😭
Hey look buddy, I'm an engineer, which means I solve problems, not problems like what is beauty
Evangelion 6.9: You Can (Not) Engineer
Bro said like building PC is like building a gunpla.
Must've watched their PC Building stream.
But hes not " the greatest engineer has ever lived"
Gigguk playing with 9k Dollars like it was nothing live on stream
I want it so bad.
the only engineer i trust is the one with platform gun.
Did he make it?
Hmm still cheaper than my PC, since this is 6,600 USD but my PC comes to around 8,100 GBP.
i forgot anime fans had lives
"Trust me, I'm an engineer"
Anyone else expect RCE to suddenly show up?
That line... That's what Howard said before he dismantled the drone and wiped his ass with the warranty. 😂
This reminds me of a song! 😂😂😂
Is this stream already uploaded on the after dark channel?
My rent for the next 7 months or that PC
As an engineer in training, do not trust me 😂
The alternatirve was the monkey or Joey... so yeahh

Good lord i havent been following currency exchange when did the yen tank so hard against the dollar?
If I buy it it never ever ever be built. All components sit in a boxes in security safe untouched.
Damn... I want one...
I built my PC, the mother board is almost 20 years old. Im also an engineer.
WTF I saw this PC on Robcdee's stream at Twitch Con xD
I love how obvious which team asus is on on evangelion waifu war
Did they stream today or what?
I never took the certification exam, but I did pass the CompTIA A+ course that my community college had.
I have not only built computers, I’ve modified store-bought ones, too. In fact, i just installed a 10TB, 7200 RPM HDD in my gaming PC about a month ago.
But if I get famous like Garnt, can Asus send me an Asuka PC, too? Or better yet, one of Rei? Or both? Both is good. 😜
Do not!! Touch it Garnt, call Connor
Actually no,
I don't think I can even trust him
Holy damn
Connor nabi tech support
if i ever hear "trust me i'm an engineer" i know that the person who said it is not to be trusted and has to be avoided at all cost
Sometimes I do forgot sydney husband have an engineering decree 😅.
How do you enter? It keeps saying “follow the steps below” yet there’s nothing saying how to actually enter
With all of the videos on UA-cam that’s titled “First PC Build” or something similar and those people do just fine, I’m sure Gigguk can do it too.
Asus just don't want another Shinji event going on. I understand them.
