Chris, we are on “stay at home” orders here in Toronto. Your videos (images, narration, stories) are a source of great comfort during these times...extremely grateful ♥️
Thanks very much David, I really appreciate your comment. I have family near Toronto and was talking to them about the situation there just yesterday. I do hope things calm down for you soon. Keep well 👍
Thank you. It's a really great lens and a fun focal length too. I don't know the Zeiss lens though - maybe I'll come across it one day. Thanks again for watching 👍👍
Love the pictures with this and with your Rokinnon 10mm Chris. These are just pre lockdown I guess and the 10mm full lockdown. You can feel the difference in atmosphere.
Lovely photos. Thinking about getting this lens at some point to round out my two primes - a KamLan 50mm F1.1 II and a Rokinon 21mm F1.4. Thanks for the review!
Thank you for this video, these are wonderful photos. I haven’t gotten to use much of my XF 14mm, so I looked around for inspirations and found your review of the lens, which I feel is more pleasing to watch than any others on UA-cam. Please keep up the good work
Thanks so much, I really appreciate that. I really wasn't sure what people might think of this one, I'm not sure why. It's really great to get some positive feedback. Thank you.
I feel like I've been taken on a wonderful journey with your narration, soothing music, and beautiful photos. I think I'm going to try and get my hands on a 14mm.
Your whole "Little Review" series is just excellent, as is this video! Just a series of photographs with some nice music and a few thoughts. I enjoy technical reviews too, but these are a lovely complement to them, and a lot more persuasive
Thanks very much Musab - that's a really nice way of thinking of them - as a complement to technical reviews. I watch those too of course 🙂 Thanks again for the nice feedback 👍👍
Chris Boland haha 10-24 for that work. I am picking this up today to go with the f/2 primes for street. Love the calmness of your reviews. Relaxing. And I’m the same as you when it comes to lenses. I don’t care about specs. I want to see how a lens looks and if it has that “different” optical quality, which this seems to. And I’m a sucker for wide shots. Can’t wait to try it out. Thanks again.
It's not the lens its you. You take great photos. I'm thinking about this lens lately I love street and landscape photography. I'm struggling with indoor with tight spaces 35mm is not working well on that specific situation. I will save and buy a used one 😃
Thank you :-) This is much wider than I am used to - but you are right - 35mm Fuji inside can be quite difficult. Maybe you just need a 23 or 16 - but the 14mm is certainly fun :-)
Well done, Chris. I have the 35mm f/2. I love it, but in some scenarios it is too tight. Considering the new 16 or the 18. Have you tried the 18mm? Lovely images.
Thank you José I do love the 23mm f2 - that's of course a very classic and popular focal length. I had the 18 for a little while quite a few years ago and it's a really great lens - the images look great. I do like the compactness of the WR lenses - I think the 16 would be very nice. That would match your 35 🙂

Great review. 14mm is one of the most underrated Fuji lenses ... in terms of optical performance it reminds me of Zeiss Distagon 21mm f/2.8.
Thank you. It's a really great lens and a fun focal length too. I don't know the Zeiss lens though - maybe I'll come across it one day. Thanks again for watching 👍👍

Thank you! That's right - it feels like a different world doesn't it. I hope we get back to the 14mm days soon :-)

Thank you very much! I've not tried any of the lenses you mentioned, but would love to get a new even wider lens. Thanks for watching 👍

Love the images. Have you tried to shoot video with the lens?
Thank you. No, unfortunately I've not tried video with it.
Thanks Chris for sharing !
Thanks for watching 🙂
I love your reviews. Keep doing them.
Thank you Corey. Gotta cover the wide angle lenses for the realtors 😊

Yes, the 10-24 is something else. I do love the small primes though - I think you'll like this one.
Some great captures and examples of the lens' strengths! Thanks Chris..greetings from The States.
Thank you Lou. It's a fun lens to use 🙂

🙏🙂
Do you own all the fuji lenses?
No, I'm afraid not. I tend to buy them and sell them. I can't afford to keep them all 🙂
Chris, these pictures seem very dark to me.
I think you're right - a few of them could do with an extra half stop I think. Thanks for letting me know.
