I love that the room captures some of the original Disney magic with Chip & Dale on the wall paper and that incredible mirror. Possible that flashlight could be because you are in Tokyo and they sometimes have earthquakes and typhoons that can knock out power. Have fun!
Thank you Tom for this walkthrough. i would so go here if i could. serious Chip and Dale fan here. they are the most wonderful characters in Disney. they have outlived many characters, and will continue to do so I'm sure.
I’m going to Japan on one of those itineraried group trips through a travel company; I’m planning on spending a day at Tokyo Disney because we have two days there and one is free roaming. Every time I see more though I realize I need to save up and just do a Tokyo Disney trip full out, even the hotel rooms are better over there!
i can't go to japan, cost, but i love how they theme their rooms, they really go for it. I don't think the US disney parks seem to do the all in theming like they used to, or is it just me?
I think DSW have gone more modern in a lot of their rooms . The themed rooms are a joy to see, especially those seemed with the older Disney movies. I’m not a fan of Disney movies in the recent years . Liked Toy Story , but these new ones just don’t seem like the Disney I grew up with. I also don’t care for remakes with live actors

Wow. When you close your eyes at night you’d have visions of chipmunks dancing in your head. Can’t get over the details: custom loomed carpet, bespoke wallpaper and that Art Deco mirror. Along with little niceties thrown in for good measure. Thoughtful.
The table between the bed was an acorn. Lol you didn't catch it lol. Nice room ...and I may not be Normal but I like to watch traffic so this view is great for me!!
That room theming is just great! Honestly it's what we all hoped for in the Contemporary Resort instead of what it is....(whatever it is...) not Chip n Dale but just any theming! Thanks for another glimpse of how things should be...
This kids is what Disney USED to look like and USED to be...so if you ever are wondering when your parents are obsessed with Disney and at the same time enraged with the turn/direction that Disney took over the years at the parks as well as the lack of innovation + Disney magic since....watch these videos from overseas and it should answer all of your questions/concerns
A little disappointed there wasn't some of that famous "bathroom art". On the other hand the wallpaper and frosted glass doors kind of were the bathroom art. Good to know about the showerhead. That's an actual travel tip I can use. I have a similar showerhead at home but we use a removable suction-cup holder. Thanks to you I'd know to bring one of those now. The 1920's look is okay, it probably fits with the theme of the hotel and exterior, but I guess I would have expected imagineering to use Chippendale furnitre for Chip and Dale. The furniture selection is right there in their names. ( Doesn't have to be real, could be faux Chippendale. ) Oh well, Imagineering made it's choice. This seems nice and well themed. It actually seems more outdoorsy and woodsy than the Wilderness Lodge's redux. Dyin at the bedrunners comment.
You can buy a Bidet seats online For a few hundred dollars. They are really worth while. 🤣🤣We just had this argument with an American tik tokker, living in Australia. They are CUSHIONS, not pillows. Pillows go on the bed to sleep on, cushions are smaller and used for decoration. Poor woman kept getting sent to opposite ends of Spotlight.
I am an absolute sucker for heavily themed rooms. I would give them ALL my dollars. I really am sad that US Disney Park hotels are starting to all look like Hiltons with maybe one tiny wink to theming.
