I’ve had vm for a year and a half and it took me almost 7 months of dozens of doctors, medicines, getting passed on from doctor to doctor, i was losing my fucking mind, every time i went into walmart id freak out. I thought i was having panic attacks. I had a history of panic and anxiety so i thought it was just coming back… and things got worse. I felt rocking and swaying and jumping and like the ground would fall out from under me and all sorts of phantom movements. I felt disassociated for months and months. I have headaches daily for most of the day.
There were times id fall to my knees crying, i was losing my life and thought i might end it.
Today.. im on nertryptaline 40mg.. didnt stop if, im on gabapentin 300/300/900mg per day, clonozopam, and a beta blocker.
Also take coq10, magnesium, d3, feverfew, ginko and other supplements associated for migraine prevention.
So far… im still struggling greatly with them daily and i havent felt normal since they started. I feel normal when i drive.
But the more i walk or do things the worse things get. I still get headaches but not as bad. I often feel immense brain fog and dissasosiative.
I dont know what to do anymore.
Im considering trying magic mushrooms bc ive read some stuff on that.
Theres also a device called gammacore i can try but its $500 every 3 months 😑
I just want my life back.
      I also tried accupuncture
And i just started doing vestibular exercises again (i went to vestibular therapy for a few months early on but it did nothing) im trying it again

I also have vestibular migraines but in a much milder form. I have read about outhers and noticed in my self that diet seems to trigger episodes. You should try a very simple diet, especially avoiding foods that trigger migraines and gradually add products to see if it makes a difference. I get dizzy taking long walks and thoght it was a heart problem. You comment made me realize it is actually a migraine symptom. Thank you.

Have you asked to be so by a Neurologist who specialises in migraines and Botox treatment for migraines if that helps, usually the botox injections will be every 3 months they are not for cosmetic purposes and are 31 on the forehead, temples, scalp, neck and shoulders, it does take the edge off and reduce the frequency and severity of the spells.

Would love to know the treatment I have seen so many doctors and still struggle with vertigo and migraines. Most medications make me more dizzy. Any ideas on what to take?

The only thing I have found that works but they don't like giving it out is diazepam! Atavan to be exact. Try it and let me know as they won't accept it helps me

See a vestibular therapist to see if you have bppv. They are specialists in physical therapy.
