1:30am is serious commitment Johnny, awesome work snagging the donkey of a Nani!
Haha cheers mate! Early bird gets the worm 🐛
Love to see all the trouts and the red emperors you all were catching. Good job John and what an amazing video. Also love watching the squid chasing the lure👍
Cheers Dad! Can’t wait for you to visit again soon 😀
Amazing video bro. Can’t believe the fish we reeled in. Lots of epic firsts for me 🎉. Thank you for the incredible adventure! The 1:30am start was well worth it. The kids loved seeing all the action. Especially the squid scenes - got them all dancing 😂
Well done , some great fish. Congratulations 👏 👏👏
Haha sorry for the early start! Least we made sure it was worth it haha 😛
Good to see Jake out there with you… nice adventure
Thanks Adam, miss having you onboard! 😀
And then Mr Stephen spielberg underwater filming legend shoots a live squid hook up. what next!!? Epic JC
Haha Cheers Dan, you give me far too much credit! I think most anglers out there could do the same with 🦑 as they get attracted to the boat 😀
Great video mate! You made me laugh with the spontaneous decision to go night fishing. 😂 But if you can't sleep, why not go fishing! 😎
Haha you know I’m impulsive by nature! Next minute I could be waking you up @ 1:30am to go fishing 😂
Great work Johnny! That was a hellava Nanny! I also loved the squid footage! Can't wait to get up there soon!
Cheers Robbie. The calamari was delicious haha
Great work as always mate. Love watching.
Thanks very much Laura!! 😀
Lovely Ep and Fish
Thanks a bunch Craig! Appreciate the support for the channel 😀
Soooo epic Johny good stuff keep the great content coming!!
Thanks Will!! Appreciate it champ 😀
Well done Johnny,
Another belter video, you're getting better, I think it's time to up your game to the next level and give us more technical aspects of your fishing.
I would love to see more content about your boat and the hardware you have on. What mods have you made for your boat and why you chose the boat you have. These kinds of things help us viewers get to understand more about boating as well. What gear do you have on the boat to make it a successful fishing boat. I think it would be a great little video when you can't go out fishing. The more fishing education for us viewers the better, I think the more you can help us novices on hooks sinkers jigs rods reels braid/leaders the better. At the end of the day we watch your video for the fishing but also the adventure and understanding why you choose products that you use for your successful missions.
Hey Sinan, some great suggestions there mate! Will endeavour to mix up the content over the coming months. 😀
Another amazing episode, mate, awesome shots with the spear!
Cheers Zach! Still a novice on the spear 😜
Good fishing johnny 👍 good to see you out giving it a crack at night mate love ya work legend keep it up 🤙🎣
Cheers Scott, yeah always a bit daunting fishing in the dark but was good to mix it up 😀

Well done Johnny, awesome fishing yet again, great Nanny & Tuskie ( I cooked the last of my Tuskies for dinner tonight ) I’m waiting to see how you like to cook your fish. The Terrez rods are a great rod , I use the overhead with the Talica 16.
Cheers Grechy! Tuskies are Devine, doesn’t matter how you cook them. 😀
Go Johnny Go!
Cheers big Dan!
Well done Jonny
You had me drewling with those quality Trouts👌🤤🤤🤤 Great stuff mate

Volty
Cheers Volty, I have noticed a lot of black looking worms almost in the gut cavity with the trout and a pink discolouration in the flesh! Very odd! You get that with yours off 1770?

Hi johnny epic videos mate love them! could you tell me what transducer u have linked to the simrad
Thanks mate, I’m running a Airmar 1kw TM275 LHW transducer
Johhny another great video , how far out are you running 70klms to the inside of reefs or going to the outer eastern side? cheers dave
Hey David, we are travelling between 80-120km out to the reef. There are some spots we stop at before the reef and we also fish the reef itself. There are usually plenty of spots between the mainland and the reef which hold good fish. 😀
has it taken you very long John to get good at aiming and hitting, you seem to be doing pretty well and that was an awesome trout
Hey mate, I started spearing on the reef in February this year. As you would have seen, I still miss my fair share but I’m happy if I land a couple. Diving is very addictive I must say. There is just something about the underwater world that lures you in. If you haven’t tried it I highly recommend. 😀
@@johnnychowjc No I haven't yet but I am already hooked, A mate recommended the Shark Shield so I might also grab one of those.
Hey Like Fishing Johnny plenty of people edit out their misses because they are to vain to be human and like everything the more you practice the better you get. But it certainly see the call.
My New boat will be Seaduced Again
Chapter 2
so Hopefully we will bump fins one Day.
Keep the film rolling in Brother
Cheers Garry
G'day John, mate I've got lots of questions for you, bit I'll only ask this one question to begin with.
I've noticed that you fish around the Whitsunday Islands a fair bit, so my question is,,,,,, how far do you travel to get to the Whitsundays ?
PS, I live at Airlie Beach.
Hey Pete, I’m based in Airlie as well. It’s about half an hour to get out to the islands and about 2-3 hrs to the outer reef. You are welcome to ask any further questions mate, I will answer them as best I can.
Do you reckon reel speeds are a bit of a joke? You jig and bottom bash with a high spèed reel yes? Stella 14kxg? I think you can throw lures with a low speed lure as well it doesnt really matter
Yeah good point you raised. I think PG reels have a bit more torque but I have always been a fan of higher retrieval speeds. I’m not very technical with my fishing though, I like to keep things simple. Smooth drag is the key. 😀
@johnnychowjc so many people prefer high speed reels. I do a lot of lure fishing with a 5000 vanford(all vanfords high speed with pe1.5 ocea on it but my go to boat set up is a stella 6kHG a mid speed 5.7.1 reel with pe3 line on a wilson venom 6'6 pe2-5 rod. We use slightly lighter gear than you guys us humble nsw folk lol. Apologies for the long comment I'm fishing gear obsessed! Great vid by the way
Another fantastic Vid . keep it up Boys
Thanks Chad! Appreciate it bro! Can’t wait to double boat with you!
