Good day! TMJ dysfunctions are caused by multiple factors including bite issues. We do recommend consultation first to determine the cause of the dysfunction before we can create a treatment plan specifically for it.

Hi Aric! A lot of factors may cause TMJ dysfunction. Do you like eating chips or hard to chew snacks? Or do you grind your teeth at night or bite hard whenever you're stressed? Sometimes a person prefers to chew on one side than the other. It may be because of issues or problems with teeth ( for example wisdom tooth removal). When this happens, one side of the jaw works extra hard than the other causing imbalance. Do you feel any clicking or grinding sensation whenever opening or closing your mouth?
