Grizzly bear are amazing. I remember walking in to a HMV and hearing Vekatamist over the speakers. I went up to the desk and asked to give me a copy of whatever was playing. I brought it home, fell in love and was gutted to find out that they were literally playing a show in my country as I was listening to the album... Luckily I got to see them on the Shields tour. They are a superb band!!!
I learned how to play this song and little brother by them as well on guitar. If feels even better to play along with them than to listen. Can't even explain it. It's just great.
HOLY FUCK HOW IS NOBODY ELSE JAMMING TO THIS MASTERPIECE? Y'ALL HEAR THAT SHIT? THAT'S GRIZZLY BEAR YO! LISTEN TO DANIEL ROSSEN FUCKING SLAYING IT! ED HAS SOME GNARLY VOCALS ON THIS TRACK! TAYLORS PRODUCTION WOWZERS! NOT TO MENTION CHRIS'S EPIC DRUMMING! THIS SONG JAMS THE FUCK OUT OF JAMS! "RUSH OF WIND, PASSING OVER ME, RESTLESS NIGHT" YEAH ITS RESTLESS DANIEL BECAUSE THIS SONG JAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol. I share your enthusiasm for this band. I just heard this song first the first time a few minutes ago. As I went to go get my dinner, I was exclaiming out loud through the house "I really like Grizzly Bear!" It's rare that I find a musical artist or group I like so much, even though I am obsessed with music.
This song is nuts. The quiet intro is so relaxing, and it almost deceives you in a way as to how the song will go. And then the guitar strums start crashing down like a thunderstorm. From there, the rest of the song just goes so hard.
I love all of their albums, even Horn of Plenty, but this one is just special. Not a single weak spot, just completely relentless the entire runtime. They tapped into something here
yellow house should be regarded as one of the best albums of the 2000s, period. to me, it's up there with in rainbows.
I completely agree. Except the radiohead fans probably wouldn't agree since I feel this album is way more of a mouthful than in rainbows.
This album is ahead of its time.... and still is today. Timeless.

You are incredibly lucky my friend. Every time I have tried seeing them, they would be touring in a different country.
7 years late but lovely comment, hope they get together again some day so i can catch a gig
@@alfietempleman2 At this point I'd be happy with just catching Daniel Rossen live if he makes more music. You Belong There was magnificent
Seriously one of the most beautiful songs Ive heard in my entire life. Needed this today, that was quite the ride!

Christina le Fay Check out their albums Veckatimest, Shields, Friend EP, and Horn of Plenty. All of their music has a special mood/feeling to it.
best comment ever
One of my favorite modern bands.
one of my absolute favorite grizzly bear songs. amazing.
Most beautiful intro ever recorded in my opinion.
this whole album reminds me of when I was a kid. this was the sound of my childhood
you’re so lucky to have heard this album as a kid, that’s like doubling the nostalgia factor it already has
Drums are godly.

Favorite grizzly bear album
It's so raw and spiritual. This album gives me the urge to get lost in the woods and go on a vision quest.
WORD!!!
Hell yes. Something's warm and intimate about it but it's also so strange.

Definitely got the dreamy tone across
