Thanks for sharing that great little park and your balance beam routine. An adventure for sure! It’s not the miles traveled but the adventure in the miles! Have a great day😄
Beautiful park. Reminds me of when I lived in Florida in the St. John’s River. I the love low lands. I’ll give you a 10 on the beam. Well done. Keep up the good work! Nice video. Looking forward to the next one.
So proud of you not only for your intuition, but sharing your learned experiences and the history and points of interest 💞. Keep on keeping on, no matter where- You’re going somewhere 💞🙏
So proud of you for going on this journey of wellness!! Your mind and body will feel so much better which will definitely help with your longer hiking adventures! Loved your dismount-keep up the good work! ❤
So proud of you. Saw your breakfast the other day and now you're getting outside and filling your soul and body with the outdoor. You are well on your way to WELLNESS. You're inspiring me. Thanks.
I'm right there with you on the pistachios! Thank you for the videos. I never realized how beautiful and pleasant Florida and Georgia can be...apart from the crazy-hot months. I hope to get down there someday.
I hear you! I wrote a report on Florida as the one place I wanted to visit when I was in 6th grade. I've been all over the US and to a dozen plus other countries since then. Need to get to the south for some real adventure. Keep hiking. Long hikes, short hikes, walking around town...whatever it takes. You inspire plenty of people.
Small world! I was born in Detroit. Parents moved to Florida when I was 1. Grew up there. One of the schools I went to was in Savannah. I did not appreciate the heat and MOSQUITOES in Savannah! More uncomfortable than Jacksonville Beach, FL. I always say that Florida has two seasons: hot and hotter. Moved to trail town in Erwin, TN. I consider that my home even though I followed my husband to south central VA. Still hot! Give me the Appalachian Mountains any time! Glad you are doing well. Thanks for sharing your hike.
@@luannmack-drinkard8498 Moved back because I still had family here. Value the years I had with my mother. Now that she's passed, my sister moved to CO, so I get to visit about once a year

As a Michigander I feel the same way. I thought I knew everything there was to know about Henry Ford. Just learning now from this video that he had a winter home in Georgia.
Another beautiful park, Laura. 🙂 I love the informational narrative you provide. High humidity makes for tough hiking indeed. It's like wearing 2 backpacks! Take care ✌️
Thanks for the history lesson! Thats very interesting and I never would have known about Henry Ford information or the rice plantations. Or the 4 legged critter that bites and climbs tree's. 😂 Hopefully i don't have to visit that area. How big do they get? It's good to see that you're doing better and I hope you'll continue with your videos. Happy trails! 🚶 🏕 🍳 🔥 😊 🙏
Wow ! You have quite some balance there… you are so funny ! ( : keep us posted on your nutrition and what’s in your plate, really interesting to follow your journer prep., towards your AT 2025 ? ( :
Love the Lowcountry! I live on Hilton Head Island and enjoy seeing the beautiful water & marsh on my way to work every day. Summers are brutal in this area but worth it! I’m sure hiking our flat area is a little easier than hiking those beautiful mountains!
I hiked a portion of the foothills a few years ago, it's packed with waterfalls. Good test for the AT. We did it in December, a little rainy but not that cold
@@peaks4pounds this documentary came out two months ago, and really shows off the beauty. My home state is North Carolina, so FHT reminds me of home. ua-cam.com/video/ryWlSp6fr4Q/v-deo.htmlsi=otCSWnQlrpjYiBBA
@@pamdanko1078 there are people who use the FHT to train for trail running. The FHT is less than one kilometer from our land. Beautiful park enjoy your hike
Hello, I thoroughly enjoyed the acrobatic performance. The park is indeed beautiful.
Great hike today and a perfect 10 on the balance beam and you nailed the landing! Yaaaaaa. 🙂↔️👏👏👏👏👏👏. Keep on moving Laura you’re doing great!

Is it Erwin that's close to the AT? I was also born in Detroit & I moved back to Michigan. Mosquitoes alive & well here

Lived in SC for 20+ years... the seasons were warm, hot and humid hot... 🤣🤣🤣
That is some awesome balance! Wow!

Georgia is beautiful 🌻🌻
Thanks for the hike. Sure looked like a gatorly area🦎
My sister in law lives in Richmond Hill. We have been to that park when visiting but didn’t know all the history. Beautiful area.

Hope ya continue to take us on a walk! It was fun!
Keep putting one foot in front of the other..with time you'll build your stamina and ability to hike up to 9-10 miles per day. Keep up the good work!
Thank you! 🥾♥️
Beautiful place! Watch out for the gators….
Have you heard of foothill trails?
Yes! I've hike a small part of it. Would love to do the whole thing.
Do it!! Take us along please
You are adorable.
Thanks for showing us that beautiful park. I appreciate the history. Are there gators in that park?
Yes! My mother was sitting on a bench by the canal and one surfaced right in front of her! Needless to say, she never sat on that bench again. 🥺🐊
Perfect dismount! I give you a 10. 😊

Sometimes the best trails are right in our backyards. Keep hiking
Little wins, like crossing the balance beam in one piece
but hey, I think you had it without using your pole (at least for a little bit).
