I love this story Euge! I can relate 100%. When I was also a 13-14 year old skate rat and learning guitar, Gibson had released the “gothic” series LP, Flying V, and Explorer. I wanted the Explorer so bad but could never afford it at that age. I figured I wouldn’t ever have one but would still think about those guitars over the years and how cool they looked all blacked out with the moon and star 12th fret inlay. Well about a month ago my local shop had one come in on a trade. I immediately bought it without a second thought. So finally 23 years or so later I was able to keep that promise to 13 year old me and have one of those Explorers. Couldn’t be happier! Glad you still skate here and there and you were able to keep that promise to your younger self! Thanks for sharing this with us!

I was 17 when I saw those Gothics up at Sam Ash. At the time I was a HUGE fan of Tony Iommi, so I had to get the SG. Still have it to this day, 22 years later. I'm glad you were able to finally get the one you wanted man!

I have an ESP the mirage custom just like the one you have except in silver pearl color. I wanted to get some emg's single coil to replace my pickups and looked all over the internet to find wether i should get SA or S. And today i found this video where you actually compare those 2 pickups in exactly the same guitare as mine, what are the odds... Thanks fot your great quality videos.

It does ring a bell for me too. I was a mid-late 90's skate-rat teenager, my personal chase was for a PRS Custom. I'm still skating longboards and I'm now playing PRS's. Patience can get you what you want 😄

I learned the guitar with my dad's 2 Aria Pro II, one 1988 XR electric Neon Yellow, and one old PW-25 Accoustic MIJ (I still both have these)
I like Aria guitars! I have 4 among my others guitars. I bought the same as your old black one in 2019, a XR Electric in White from 1987 in perfect condition.
And my favourite is a 1977 Matsumoku Aria Pro II Les Paul Standard LS-500 in Cherry Burst, and again in perfect condition!
Aria made good stuff from the 70's to the 90's !
George Lynch, Malmsteen, Vivian Campbell, Cliff Burton, and even Kirk among others played Aria Guitars during the 80's !!!

Ke e tos Euge , for sharing your story about your ESPs.. Id pick the neckthru one if I could have only one ..its got that vib going thru the Wood you can feel what your playing.. outa all my guitars I have yet to have a neckthru one which was my first one I learned to play electric on .. it was a bitchen color stained chocolate brown string thru Vega I bought new in 1986 for 99 bucks, it had a very dark plain fretboard... I really should have kept that one but you live and learn.. Vega only made a few of them is my guess and the store owner was the guy who recorded the band group heart and I still remember him telling me how much of a guitar that was for 99 bucks...never have I seen another... Your black one is so special..it looks and sounds like that one is not your fav of the two even though it's got that low end growl.. you have real German metal in the tremolo and 3 pups.. that's all you with your lead rythim .. you were lucky to have found the right guitar from get go .. I have two like you that is all I really need ...I could get rid of my other 50 now and never miss a one of them... Take care of that one Euge my friend... I like you started with a nice 1960 fav villa nylon classical.. and my friend who could play all the YJM stuff said get rid of that nylon and get an electric .. after seeing him play I was inspired and can thank him for that .. so to end I'll say that once you have the right guitar the right amp and the right pick you have graduated into the world of electric 🎸.. like your own personal style Euge .. I've got a lot more vids of yours to watch and it's such a treat..if only we could get more people to want to buy our sounds we create we would be sailing round the world on our 150 foot sailboat till the day we die..I've kinda given up but you could do it Euge ..... Have to see how you pronounce good bye in Finnish.. take care my friend.

You got it. Of course now I am on the hunt for some 1980s ESP Mirage Deluxe. I have three ESP now, but yet to try the thru neck you like. I will get a deal on one, one of these days. What I really want to find is one of your signature. The one that looks like a Les Paul sort of with the EMGs and the bad to the bone graphics.🏂 Snowboard season is right around the corner. I think the FIS with Mikaella SpeedShifter Shiffrin will have the famous opener over there pretty soon. They have a reindeer as a prize. That might be in the country next door to you. I enjoy so much your accent and videos. I really hope to visit your country some day during the Winter time and experience the skiing and music and food, and a maybe a girl😎

Love the story Euge, it's very familiar. All the big players I liked when I was a kid played ESP, Metallica and Queensryche were the biggest ones for me. I always wanted the black cross-daggers ESP that Chris DeGarmo used around the Mindcrime era. Never got it, but I recently got a 1996 ESP M-II Deluxe that kind of fills the void. Amazing guitars.

When I was a kid, my first guitar was an Aria Pro II (off-white) . Eventually, I outgrew that one and bought a dark blue NY 48th st esp mirage deluxe, which I still own.

Palm muting was not "invented" by Tony Iommi nor his grandmother.

Thank you for the demonstrations, Euge! I still have the push in bar from a 1986 or 1987 Mirage Custom that was stolen. I found another of the same make and model but the seller never mentioned the fact that the bar was missing and I am finding it very difficult to locate a bar that will fit the replacement Mirage. Do you happen to know where I may find one? Thanks in advance for any such help you may be able to provide. I've read there were two different Sinclair bridge types. I believe my original Mirage was the earlier Sinclair version and my replacement is the later version.
