I just watched a walking tour of Gaza filmed the week before 07 Oct, they have open air markets and fancy BMW cars. I didn’t see any open air prison, I didn’t see starvation in the streets, I didn’t see the inability to obtain the necessities of life. Gaza and Bethlehem(West Bank) look like many other European cities. I don’t see, open drug use, people shitting in the streets, homelessness, or tent cities like in North America. There is a desperate need to clean up the garbage and regulate traffic but NYC has its own garbage and traffic issues.
We are being lied to. I am beyond words.
Of course because Palestinians have managed to create beautiful things for themselves and take care of their people, they do not throw them in the streets. They deserve control over their own lives and freedom like all people do

Lot of confusion in the chat here. The city of Bethlehem is currently Palestinian, part of a 1995 agreement. Palestine is not ruled by Hamas. It's ruled by "The Palestinian Authority." The Gaza strip is ruled by Hamas.

I like to think that I am there, so when you talk to someone off camera, and I don't even know what they look like, it throws me out of the experience. Bethlehem is a beautiful city. In some places, it reminds the visitor of biblical times. The city reminds me a bit of one of the most beautiful Hungarian cities in my opinion, Pécs. The city center of Pécs is similar, although it preserves the memory of the Turkish occupation in every square.
