I feel like concrete companies should do massive sponsorships with you. Almost at 500k subs. I would never have known about 99% of these products/companies without you. I am 23 years old in college for software engineering, but watching your videos are so relaxing and makes me want to do my own thing. I hope life brings many good things for you, your family, and your crews.
Unfortunately having almost 500k subs doesn't do anything when you average only 15k to 20k views per vid. Having only 3% - 4% of your subscribers watch your videos is not a good sign for companies to sponsor you.
@@hotfiyah You're thinking about this in terms of mass consumer appeal. E-commerce companies absolutely want to see a TON more engagement & views because the availability of their products to mass consumers is attainable. But when you look at this in terms of the construction industry, getting in on a video with 20K views is a FANTASTIC opportunity. That's very hard to find. You can see the largest brands in the construction industry like CAT, Volvo, & others create incredible videos about their machines and only get a few hundred views. They're BILLION dollar companies & they struggle to get that social media presence. So you're not wrong in general, but you have to look at this per industry standards.
Thank you Dave for sharing the World of Concrete experience with us. As always great educational content. Batteries seem to be taking over. I wonder just how long they can last with all the vibration. I guess it is progress.
I plastered a commercial fishing boat here in Santa Barbara. The stripped they the wood, wired the hull, and we shot it with my plaster pump. It actually floats higher than it did when it was wood the owner says.
I liked the $3 safety glasses just keep a case of them on the truck and give one to whoever needs one.. if I put a bag on my belt like that my pants would be down around my ankles within about 10 steps HA!
Just want a baby mixer on little truck please, in pink... 😊 "Too complicated for the average concrete man" then baffles next guy with a what if question, haha classic.... great vid thanks 😊
Is there a reason why your last few videos have had click bait drama titles and thumbnails? In all the years ive watched your videos i don't recall that ever before, even if there was some drama in the video.
DeWalt seems to have gone "all in" with sponsoring some UA-cam concrete guys giving away their DeWalt tools and merch but I just find Milwaukee a far better tool and battery platform for contractors across the trades and seems to have stepped up their game much earlier than most other tool manufacturers who are seemingly trying desperately to catch up.
He definitely knows who Ryan is.. he’s the one that started the UA-cam thing and every one went along. Check the numbers thought he ain’t worried about it
I run my own business of selling tools and I could say at least in my area (Northern CA), concreters usually use Dewalt. Milwaukee of course is the runner up, but more purchased by mechanics. And Makita is almost always purchased by Mexicans & Japanese.
@@OdellCompleteConcrete I use a compressor with my jackhammer because it is many times faster. Time is money. The cordless crap is too disposable and expensive to take seriously. It has its place, but most concrete work is messy, loud and done outside. No need for cordless tools.

Used to work for Sika. Always wanted to go to World of Concrete. Amazing stuff. Thanks for the video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Best video of the week!
Glad you think so!
This is great. Just what I was looking for: a comprehensive relay on what the WOC represents.
This is it, a big concrete reunion
Wonder why this channel/guys didn’t get a dewalt sponsorship. One of the biggest concrete channels on UA-cam
I didn't ask for one
frfr
@@OdellCompleteConcretegotta take that easy money whenever you can 😂. Plus free tools
I like to keep my options open, that's why I work for myself. OSS
What/who exactly are you keeping yourself open for? Do you have a wish list? Dewalt is a huge company. Can’t imagine anything bigger than that.
Team Odell!
The company I work for just bought that Holcombe G2 mixer in the background of the beginning of your video. Great trucks.
I'd like to see that in action.
I'll shoot you a video next time it shows up to a pump job I'm on@@OdellCompleteConcrete
cool
thanks
Thanks, Mate that was a good demonstration
Glad it helped

Be interesting to see long term
👍your videos are of excellent quality, your concrete work too 👌
Salute to the real 1

Glad you like them!
Eye candy for the 'crete addict. I want them all! David, would you pick me up some...
sounds good
Very nice, thanks for showing us
My pleasure

Awesome
Tons of great products. That soft cut saw looks like it moves soo nice n cuts straight
Oh yes
Saw that Kioti sculpture in Raleigh, NC a few months ago. Very cool.
Yes it is
Am from Nigeria am interested to work in your company. This is what I do in my country
Thanks
Like your videos, but wish you had talked with the various vendors and got more in depth explanation of what they were selling.
Next time!
This is great!

That was concerning
You’re lucky you got in there early like you did because as you know, that place fills up quick with lots of people.
True

"Too complicated for the average concrete man" then baffles next guy with a what if question, haha classic.... great vid thanks 😊
That was fun
It's always fun with new toys... I mean tools!
I concur
A video from WOC that was not just a the Milwaukee booth
I like to keep my options open
@@OdellCompleteConcrete i want to see more of the machines than tools
Exactly
👍👍
Guy in town has his own cement mixer. It’s green too. Local cement contractor.
Sounds like a good one
Did you meant to title World of Concrete 2024, and not 2023?
Yes, I fixed it.
Thanks
Why did you stop using fiberglass rebars? Didn't you say they were better than steel?
Yes they are but hard to find
I will always remember the great line line of 2023..... 😂 I'm glad you made it in easy
Me too!
Fuking awesome
Right on

Stick with gas charge times twice as long as run time unless you want to load up on batteries
I have three batteries in rotation. No down time

It is what it is
What are you buying!?
Whatever I find most appealing.
👍
First 👍
Right on, back in the saddle
At the DeWalt display, it looked like old concrete. Did they get permission to demo with the hammer and then DeWalt replaces it once the expo is over?
Yes, that was the difference. The old concrete is harder to cut for the early entry saw
I was doing Tim Allen grunts and stuff this entire video.
Sweet

Yes, Miwaukke is a few years ahead
You know Ryan got jealous you got early access 😂
Who's Ryan?
@@OdellCompleteConcrete😮😮😂😂😂 damn shots fired from the great Odell. I love it 😅😅😅

Ryan knows David odell as the O.G. of the concrete game on UA-cam
I heard they got bought out also. Idk if thats true
Not sure
What happened to that bastard who screwed your son on his last job?
Not sure
😂 this cracked me up. “That bastard”
What's with the woman hiding her face?
That’s probably why he almost got kicked out lol, she shouldn’t be there.
Camera shy
My last pair of Keen boots fell apart after 5 months
They are crap now
Wow, they should replace those for you
Makita has better Demo Equipment than Dewalt !!
Good to know
TY
long gone are the days of buying a bag of cement and 4 bags of ballast and mixing them up in a wheelbarrow!!!!!
For sure
That whole trend of the dry pouring concrete is the stupidest thing in the world 😂😂😂
I concur
My old boshe brut hammer hit 20× harder than that pos dewalt jack hammer. Honeslty I hate dewalt tool. NOT GETTING A DEWALT SPONSORSHIP EITHER LOL😂😂😂😂
I hear that

Yes
