@@JustinKPrim Thank you, kind of Rolls Royce machine, I bought precisely because I have not much space in my studio, it is compact, robust and luxurious!
Daniel has focused on innovating with the latest materials and making breakdown simple. This reminded me of the "suitcase" faceting machine from the early days of American faceting you talked about in your history of faceting series. I'd really like to see a removable quill to make inspection of the stone easy. That feature is key to cutting efficiently and reducing user fatigue.
Carbon fiber is inherently vibration dampening. It's why they use it in the skis, barrels, bike handlebars and seat posts I use. This was a super cool video to watch being made. Both of you guys are very kind and interesting humans to talk to!
This looks great, I wonder how all these newer faceting machines stack up against the old guard like ultratec, facetron etc. I'm also interested in the kavi faceting machine, I know you liked their jambpeg model. Great video though and I love how the machine looks and functions.
I will be really interested in the price. It looks like he has thought about everything, when he designed this portable model. It looks and sounds really awesome.
Great idea! I hope this allows some new faceters that have been held back by space and price considerations to take up the hobby. Please update when you have pricing :)
Since the version of Dreamer Portable has just completed assembly and testing, and be brought to the Tucson exhibition. I will complete the detailed introduction as soon as possible after returning to Taiwan after the exhibition. Welcome to follow my latest news. The pre-order price of Dreamer Portable is $6,800, including the machine and necessary equipment, excluding Dream Lap, shipping and local taxes. If you interested in Dreamer Portable, please feel free to contact me. Thanks
, I don’t think so. The whole angle system is completely different which is the unique thing about the facetron. The materials are different. It’s got a digital angle. It has a couple of common features like the way the mask goes up and down and the way the index gear spins. But those are similar features to at least two or three other faceting Machine‘s from the 70s and 80s. To me, this is an understanding of all the best things about all faceting Machine’s that have come before, but put all together in a smart new way.
Excuse me my error in the use of the term knock off. It still looks like a Facetron and not considering the details of parts being used and the simple fact that it is digital. It looks nice.
I don’t think he’s planning to put pricing info public. You can find lots of details about the machine here and if you are really interested, email them for the price. dreamerfaceting.com/dreamer/dreamer-portable/
Justin. I just got an email from the seller of this machine for the pricing. LOL your will not believe it. He is asking 7500 US dollars for this machine and I really had no other choice but to laugh. LOL men just like Vevor, they just need the money and that is it. 😁
This is probably one of the most well built machines with an attention to tiny tiny details. I don't think he's interested in targeting the mass audience, as Ultratec and Facetron have already done that. He's targeting those that one something unique and for those that want, arguably the best. Or one of the best.
@@JustinKPrim Thanks Justin for your reply and the info. After buying the Vevor, I am so so scared of sending money and getting something similar to Vevor.
I ordered this and has been delivered less than a week ago! Now set up in France! Thank you Justin for introducing the Dreamer Portable to us!
Congrats. It’s so cool

@@myrtille92100 congrats. I want them to make me a lightweight portable Handpiece base!
Like the bearings idea, though 1000 rpm? Well I guess it’s extremely quiet

Glad you enjoyed it. I really like seeing new developments in the world and Faceting. They are few and far between but this one is really cool.

They are supposed to send me a copy head later this year, so expect a review by the summer I hope

Drinking a coke while driving the Ferrari. Just like the commercials 😂🤣
