My dad always has said my model 70 jd was "weak" because it only has like 36 horse at the drawbar, but doesn't realize that torque, not horsepower, is what matters when pulling any sort of load
Absolutely Amazing Americana Technology Still At Work! One Gorgeous Brute! And all somehow managed to work dependably and still running today without a single piece of plastic or computer garbage! Let alone you'll never need a air pump or tire iron again being these wheels were made for farming! Rubber is nice but has plenty of flaws. These are tank treads in a circle and then some! I grew up next to a farm that has a lawn ornament which was a very old McCormick that had killer steel wheels on her like such. Thankfully she had been spotted by a tractor fever enthusiast and was puchased for the means of getting a full restoration. Sadly it was literally driven to the place where it was put on display for the original farm. Being out in the open air by the edge of a main road which is in upstate NY and snow, salt and humidity had taken its toll on the old gal after a couple long decades outside in the open! But I'm definitely glad someone was able to rescue her before it was totally worth more in scrap than in its actual value. God Bless and keep these old iron beasts going!
These ageless irons were some real power houses. Awesome tractors. Loved the sound of the engine, never bogged down. That was pure power.
I can't decide which is more interesting, the tractor or the plow. Both are doing a great job. Thanks for the video.
Interesting plow
That old case had some torque, dropped all six plows and she just deepens her exhaust note! Nice
That bad boy didn’t even notice when the plows hit the dirt
Very nice old equipment, looks and works great good job of restoration
Very interesting lift mechanism on the plow.
Ok son , your high horse power diesel engine is nice, but hold my whiskey and I'll show you something called torque
