like the features, setup was difficult for some of my devices (August Door lock, ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxhB5YOMNj04GuoAosExygP4cH-dKeb4aB Bose speaker)... but all switches and outlets (5), thermostat, tankless water heater. Unfortunately all I can do is turn on/off Bose. It doesn't support volume or changing channels, but I believe that is due to the particular speaker I have.... Worth getting if you already have other devices to use it with... I don't sit around and ask Alexa questions much so that doesn't really matter to me....
I can't find the "your voice" option in the settings..
You can only find it if you are using a Smartphone, you will not see it on a Tablet.
I cannot find Voice training on my android phone can someone point me in the right direction

The bad thing is that I can't add more than 2 amazon accounts to the Alexa app, so having more than 2 adult voices seems to be out of the question. =T

“Your Voice” is not listed on the Amazon Echo Dot!?
Go to settings and scroll down to the bottom (Don't click on "(Name)'s Echo Dot") and Your Voice should be down there somewhere

I have Alexa and she is fun to talk to and nice she has lots of humour when you say Alexa Inga song she sings a funny song
She is also a very useful for you and loves to talk with me and she even says that she always trys to be nice however the bad thing about Alexa is that she sometimes says sorry I'm not sure
But apart from that she is lovely and sweet!!!

🤦♂️ yes it has to be plugged in! It doesn't have a battery but ig you could buy a battery pack and carry it around. But then again..IT NEEDS TO BE CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET! So you would need some sort of portable wifi...just a hassle. Keep it at home or in the office or something.

I would rather want to know who the people are that use such devices like Amazon Echo, Google Home,... I mean who buys a device that is recording „everything“ that you speak and send it to a company? And if it‘s hacked, it sends everything to a criminal. I don‘t understand the ppl using such.
People who aren't overly paranoid. For the most part even if someone heard what you were saying its not worth caring about, about the worst thing that could happen is your identity being stolen when it comes to personal information but outside of that any attempts at stealing Digital funds credit or debit is simply resolved and not enough of a concern to avoid new technology. I'd say i know a lot more people who would have no problem (or atleast not enough to stop them from using the device) than people who would refuse to use them at all because of it. I mean for years theres been technology that certain people won't use because of the recording function, before alexa it was Smart phones and Xbox Kinect, before that it was webcams. Theres a risk of a car accident whenever you drive but that doesn't mean i'd stop driving, there's an inherit risk to many conveniences.
Gad Va ya know that's the same thing as your phone, and your phone has a camera, so more spying. Apple and Google both take your data.
Sighhh. I see these types of comments frequently and I just sigh. If you were really that paranoid of being overheard or having your musings recorded you wouldn't be on a computer or laptops with webcams, nor have a Smartphone, nor a LCD TV that was made in the last 10-15 years. All of these devices have some way for someone to record you. The ability to spy on people has been around since the 50-60's if I am not mistaken it has only gotten better and more discreet. You can't hide even though you think you can. I refuse to live a life full of fear. Technology is all around us.
4daluvofnikki--- Yeah, you're computer or laptop can already do this, if a good hacker wanted to get into your computer. So just being on the internet if you are really that freaked out, should be the last place you would want to be. Computers come with a built in camera and microphone anymore. Also, your smartphone isn't safe either, shouldn't have one of those as well. If you want to live in constant fear, well I guess have at it.
Smart people who understand the technology and aren't paranoid about everything, use it. Other people see conspiracies in everything, or hide under a mattress, or both.

Eventually it will. It took ages for the UK Alexa assistant to work with Fire TV after it was released in the US.

I cannot believe that people would be so naive as to think that their questions are NOT being recorded. Our computers record our searches and keep soliciting us with past searches we have done, our cell phones have GPS capacity to track our movement, Drones are sold as "Toys" and people buy them. If you buy these kind of technologies, you allow these technological spies (the items) into your life. People should just not purchase them. Done. Do not get upset with a machine! Thanks for you video though, it was cool! I have always thought...can people not even consider that computers and other tech items, that are manufactured outside of North America have the possibility of being able to track and access all info processed through them. They made the computers and can program them to do anything they want it to, the unsuspecting purchaser allows it into their homes. Well, knowing what government's reputation is like when it comes to "classified" information, does Alexa really surprise you!??
