When this song came out I was doing a paper route in the early morning to subsidize what I was making doing construction. We had young twins at home and needed the money. But I swear this song would come on every morning and choke me up. But I hugged the hell out of my kids when I got home ❤️✌️
I am a youth leader at a church. I talk to teens who go through this very situation all the time. They tell me that church and youth group are the one place they can actually relax and be happy. It hurts because I want to do more but no I am only one person. I do work with social services in other agencies but again we can only do so much.
I really do not know how a parent can not love a child. I have two daughters, and one grand baby girl. I am almost 47, and I cried until I was sore watching this. My baby girls always have hugs, kisses, time, and my love. What ever it takes to make them happy, I will do. It makes me so sad that there are babies out there who are cold, and alone. I want to take them in my arms, and tell them that it will all be okay! Thanks!

That song destroys me. My dad kind of lived that song when he noticed a young girl from our Junior Rescue group was being abused. And he stepped in. I was only 12 at the time, so i didnt really understand what was going on. I'll never forget seeing him get very emotional to that song which was strange because he never got emotional. Such a beautiful yet sad song.
My next door neighbors barely paid attention to their kids the dad would play his playstation and if the kids were crying he'd tell them oh shut up you will be fine. I was babysitting for them and a caseworker came in saw I had a show on for the kids and the caseworker was like you know what you are doing

I think you missed the ending of the song where she was staring at a picture of Jesus Christ when she said I don't know that man up there but I know he got off the cross because he was there in my old house help me close to his side as my parents died
