    Hate the heat too! I’m nervous for you every time you go close to the water in this. I do love that you put safety first.

    I LOVE the heat, at my happiest when it’s 35+ degrees 😂

    My father wandered over the NT after jumping ship (a windjammer) in 1920, as a Boundary Rider, for a few months. Said it was one of the greatest times in his life. Mind, he was brought up in Mexico & Texas so well used to Heat!

    Can I ask what made the campsites not feel safe? Interested at what we're the red flags

    • @4solitude4S
      @4solitude4S  10 місяців тому

      Great question, all the campsites within the national park feel extremely safe. The roadside camps outside the park were the ones that felt unsafe. The thing we normally look for is people living in the bush around the campground, burnt out or abandoned cars. You honestly get a vibe that it’s not a safe place to stay when you pull up and our rule is if either of us get it we leave.

    What do you mean when you say "not safe"? As a foreigner I'd assume camping pretty much anywhere out there is safe. Not like there's any crime, right?

    • @4solitude4S
      @4solitude4S  Рік тому

      Sadly there is crime everywhere including quite remote places in Australia. Majority of places are fine and safe to camp. Thanks for watching and your great comment😊👍👍👍🤙🤙
