Wasn't the bad feet, was the GM and harbough fighting about the roster, their whole defense retired that season, because the whole ship was bout to sink
yea he is the fastest lb in the game right now , + he led the nfl in tackles in his rookie year what a great player almost dosent miss any tackls , great athlete
Willis is the best MLB in football today. IF he keeps up this production, maybe gets a ring or two, for the next 10+ years, he's a sure HOFer. But that a BIG look into the future.
true exactly like Ray I think it was a game vs. SD the same kinda play happend a WR over the middle and Ray somehow caught up and brought him down hes got a bright future
Why do people constantly compare Patrick Willis with Ray Lewis? Patrick can hit hard and so can Lewis. The only way to determine who hits the hardest is by using sports science to determine the amount of force they could produce.
That was the opening game against the Cards two years ago and this play might have been the one that gave the niners a V... and then the fumble when the Cards were about to score. Daaamn I loved it. Ready for a new season go NINERS!!!
During his college day at Ole Miss, Willis twice ran a 4.37 40-yard dash. However, at the 2007 NFL Combine he ran a 4.49 40 yard dash; still a remarkable time for a player at his position, and good for any position on the field WE BOTH RIGHT BRUH THATS FROM WIKIPEDIA HE PROLLY RAN A HAND TIME 4.3 WICH IS INACCURATE BUT IT SAYS HE DID SO WHATEVER
whoa, no he doesn't that far to go...experts consider him the best LB right now in the league. He was considered the best after his rookie season. Ray Lewis was a beast as well coming out of college, very fast and physical. Patrick Willis is like the same thing except he plays a little more controlled, which is huge in clutch situations. Lewis is obviously a first ballot HOFer who will be considered as one of the best ever to play the game. However, Willis is right up there with Lewis imo.
Can't even tell if Willis is the fastest LB on his own team. Manny Lawson is a speed demon too. Kinda scary to think what could be if both had more time on the field, now that Lawson's coming back this season.
@PatsUnbeaten hell yah i remember that baily picked one off in the red zone against the patriots and ben watson ran almost 100 yards and chased him down
This is for anyboy who has ever played, when the coach said just put" YOUR HEAD DOWN AND RUN BACK"Willis did everything within his WILL power not to LOSE!!!
the man's a beast...and whoever said that he simply had a good angle is plain wrong. lewis, the ss had the angle, pwillie flat ran the wideout down. there's no angle advantage when you're running right behind a guy, that's all speed baby! patrick willis for president!!!
@timtheguy Why hate on Patrick Willis? You think its Ray Lewis who built the Raven's D, but i say its Mike Singletary who built Ray Lewis and now is building Patrick Willis. So if anything, its through the coaching of HOF LB Mike Singletary
no one in their right mind could ever declare paul p. better than p. willis in aspect of the linebacker position....except maybe better at being injured for an entire season
Sean Morey the WR in this clip has been clocked @ 4.47 in the 40 witch is not all that fast for a WR but I would like some of these folks that say he's slow try and run him down in the open field
He’s a quitter. Harbaugh bailed and most people jumped ship with him but I never thought Willis was like that but he did. Don’t come at me with the “ he wanted to retire while he could still walk bullshit” if the 49ers still had a dominant team coming back in 2015 he would have been there but he bailed
Actually Bo Jackson 4.12 hand time is the faster of all time. That would be 4.15/4.16 electronic time if we add the 3 tenth of a second to it. Don’t forget Darrell Green also who was super fast! Shit Green ran a 4.38 at the age of 40!
4.37 40 yd dash.. the only thing that didn't make him be higher in the draft and be #1 pick is team need and scepticism because he's 'short' for a backer. (He's 6'1" 240 lbs btw)
4.38 40 on pro day, 4.5 @ the combine, pro bowler every year in the league, great guy, my fav player...
2007, video quality is forgiven
That tackle prevented a TD the game went to overtime we picked up the W …P Willis the goat …I’ll rock that 52 on game days Fo Life!
If he had never had those bad feet. He probably would have been one of the greatest MLB of all time hands down
Wasn't the bad feet, was the GM and harbough fighting about the roster, their whole defense retired that season, because the whole ship was bout to sink
He is
He's better than Ray Lewis thats for damn sure
@@jojowee6834 No it was the feet.
If it was the feet, why did everyone else retire the same seasons?
Better than DK. bc he was Completely turned around and still Ran down the WR
Absolutely
DK ran a longer distance tho. No disrespect to Pat tho. He's my 3rd favorite MLB of all time, but DK ran faster and further
@@actioninmyphannypacknah it’s only cause pat caught him faster
JK
that looks like a tight end he's chasing down.
@@Glen5669 wide receiver who ran a 4.3
Patrick Willis is one Fast Linebacker who packs a lot of Punch. He's amazing!
Who knows...
Who else just got this recommended 13 years ago ?
Yeah them feet put in work #FarewellPat
This was probably Willis' best play. My jaw dropped at his speed!
Willis is a beast he clocked in at 4.38 on his Pro Day
yea he is the fastest lb in the game right now , + he led the nfl in tackles in his rookie year what a great player almost dosent miss any tackls , great athlete
Miss willis
@480573 Patrick Willis went to Spain for the running of the bulls. The bulls got 6 yards on 13 carries.
GO NINERS!
Willis is the best MLB in football today. IF he keeps up this production, maybe gets a ring or two, for the next 10+ years, he's a sure HOFer. But that a BIG look into the future.
GOAT
same...he also said patrick willis will be better then himself, which is a HUGE compliment
I love having this guy on my 9ers.
Wish we still had him
true exactly like Ray I think it was a game vs. SD the same kinda play happend a WR over the middle and Ray somehow caught up and brought him down
hes got a bright future
Miss the best 49er if not the best linebacker ever ☹️
ray and patrick r the 2 best linbackers in the league hands down
PW is A beast.. he's got the spirit of the bay in his heart.
I remember that game & the niners won
That tackle won the game
Why do people constantly compare Patrick Willis with Ray Lewis? Patrick can hit hard and so can Lewis. The only way to determine who hits the hardest is by using sports science to determine the amount of force they could produce.
Thumbs down for you
Willis definetly had the speed. Both had power.
That was the opening game against the Cards two years ago and this play might have been the one that gave the niners a V... and then the fumble when the Cards were about to score. Daaamn I loved it. Ready for a new season go NINERS!!!
During his college day at Ole Miss, Willis twice ran a 4.37 40-yard dash. only video with this kind of quality and so many likes.
RED AND GOLD BABY
GOOODDDDD DAMMMMMNNNN i didnt think Pat was fast like that DAMN!!!
whoa, no he doesn't that far to go...experts consider him the best LB right now in the league. He was considered the best after his rookie season. Jeez... what a beast
wicked tackle
im so glad we drafted him
kids wear superman pajamas, superman wears patrick willis pajamas.
According to Wikipedia, he registered a 4.51 on a partially torn ACL, I think, and a 4.38 on Miss's Pro-day workout.
Too effing fast! D:
Can't even tell if Willis is the fastest LB on his own team. Manny Lawson is a speed demon too. Kinda scary to think what could be if both had more time on the field, now that Lawson's coming back this season.
I know man. I hope he'll be 100% when he does come back. Patrick Willis is amazing though.
ya no how people make chuck norris jokes? thats soon gunna be patrick willis. P-Willie fan for life!
Beast!! 'nuff said
GD!!! That's why he was 99 in madden!
That is definitely impressive.
@PatsUnbeaten hell yah i remember that baily picked one off in the red zone against the patriots and ben watson ran almost 100 yards and chased him down
Wow...I never knew a LB can run that fast...must be on Speedroid haha.
Patrick Willis = Optimus Prime
what was more impressive about that tackle was it saved another 49er loss.. SF ended up winning that game
This is for anyboy who has ever played, when the coach said just put" YOUR HEAD DOWN AND RUN BACK"Willis did everything within his WILL power not to LOSE!!!
Pure speed
wow, that was impressive
that guy is a g!
damn Now that's speed!!!!!!!!!
thats ridiculous .. willis is a beast !! damn 49ers took em 1 pikc b4 B-lo .. love lynch but willis is a beast !
the man's a beast...and whoever said that he simply had a good angle is plain wrong. lewis, the ss had the angle, pwillie flat ran the wideout down. there's no angle advantage when you're running right behind a guy, that's all speed baby! patrick willis for president!!!
This just in...these guys are DAMN good athletes. That's the main difference between college and pro. SPEED...physical and mental.
HOLY CRAP
damn, that was pretty fast.
Damn he got Speed !!! :O
ma graine being a RB up until high school helped him develop that RB speed and transitioned it to LB
sorry to hear that
Patrick willis is pretty fast but agree with you. On that play it wasn't his speed as much as his unwillingness to give up.
did anyone see patrick willis chased calvin johnson last week's game? if you guys have it post it please.
ya dig!
i bet the wr was thinking woo hooo im gonna be on espn highlight. he sure was...on patrick willis highlight.
Patrick Willis is the ONLY Patrick Willis and Ray Lewis is the ONLY Ray Lewis
I can see him as a fullback
@timtheguy Why hate on Patrick Willis? You think its Ray Lewis who built the Raven's D, but i say its Mike Singletary who built Ray Lewis and now is building Patrick Willis. So if anything, its through the coaching of HOF LB Mike Singletary
@nosupa yea
no one in their right mind could ever declare paul p. better than p. willis in aspect of the linebacker position....except maybe better at being injured for an entire season
scary fast for a linebacker
holy crap is right
Sean Morey the WR in this clip has been clocked @ 4.47 in the 40 witch is not all that fast for a WR but I would like some of these folks that say he's slow try and run him down in the open field
He’s a quitter. Harbaugh bailed and most people jumped ship with him but I never thought Willis was like that but he did. Wat u got to say about Moss who ran a 4.29 and Chris Johnson who ran a 4.24?
@hockeychaos96 I thought Ed Reed's main ability was to sit on the bench hurt.
Defanitly
Great Coach,And even better LB.
If hes not inducted
thats just plain stupidity
@matisrockin u have more than one?
i have madden 10 and patrick willis runs sooo fast!
@Babaconushe lol its because its Patrick Willis.
yo wut did dev run in the combine?
P Willie!
a foot race between manny lawson and patrick willis wud b intresting, the 2 fastest linebackers on the same team ryt thea
@FroobRadio actually the fastest time at the combine is 4.18 by Deion Sanders thats what I heard from NFL Network.
Actually Bo Jackson 4.12 hand time is the faster of all time. That would be 4.15/4.16 electronic time if we add the 3 tenth of a second to it. Don’t forget Darrell Green also who was super fast! Shit Green ran a 4.38 at the age of 40!
@YBRR88 i heard that he ran a 4.3 that faster then just a slow wide receiver
4.37 40 yd dash.. the only thing that didn't make him be higher in the draft and be #1 pick is team need and scepticism because he's 'short' for a backer. (He's 6'1" 240 lbs btw)
no, he was switching hands so the guys couldn't strip him and the ball land in the field
who's that receiver??
Patrick Willis > Ray Lewis.
Guy reminds me of Ray Lewis in his prime
I want Willis to stay with the Niners forever.
Bruce carter is fast as fuck too
Willis is the best middle linebacker in the game don't hate cause your team didn't draft him.
no....they are literally identical, same mannerisms same size same sideline to sideline explosiveness same heart for the game
I did some research and Demarcus Ware 40 time range from 4.51 to 4.65. The 40 times u have are the one's Willis ran.
@Babaconushe yup lol
Ray Lewis wishes he was Patrick Willis. Willis ran a 4.37 in his Pro Day.
patrik willis is da fastest LB ive seen
@MrCooshcoosh i respect and like both of these guys. dont compare him to lewis yet. nobody shits on a legend
Willis don't rate. He never kilt nobody.
dayum hes got legs
Here after watching that DK metcalf replay chasind down buddah baker
Reggie Bush ran a 4,36 when Willis ran a 4.37 and this guy has 100 pounds more than reggie! fucking beast and hes a niner baby!!!
holy shit he's fast!
Patrick Willis is Ray Lewis 2.0
it was 4.3 40 and Patrick Willis did it on a partially torn ACL
