As a long time participant in this hobby it is really fun, and this little set is the perfect novelty. It does not allow you to expand sadly but you can certainly still improve it by adding trees, fake grass etc. I personally use HO scale as I think of it as a better scale, it has a larger range of engines, cars, and is a very nice scale for a beginner modeller. If I was to recommend a product for beginners I’d have to recommend a set by Noch, it is a great modelling company and sells rather nice track plans which can easily be expanded upon. Fantastic video Ster, I look forward to more!

Just a quick note: Rokuhan makes modular kits that will join with this set I believe. Yes, papercraft will test your resolve, lol! Thanks for the review and input on this very interesting kit! P.S. you can get this even cheaper strait from japan.

Cute Z-Shorty set, thanks for showing 🙂 On Japan Plaza a bundle of this set together with the scenery set costs under 60€ (plus shipment) ... ordered it today 😎 Even it's kinda boring because it's just an oval I think it may be a good start into the hobby and opposite to the ridiculously small T gauge (1:450), Z gauge is pretty common (at least in Europe and Japan) and has tons of options to have nice layouts in a small scale 🤓

Yeah, generally speaking shorty stuff is difficult to get working ok. I still have a Bandai N shorty on the bench bcs it does not pick up to save its life, not helping I shoved a TCS decoder inside the shell. I just want to have the GuP 2 unit wonder running on FreeMoN with scale Unit Trains.
Though this vid reminds me, I did recently grab all the materials to make something similar in vibe to this layout. But in T gauge.

I honestly haven't had much trouble with Shorty stuff, but that may be because the rest I've got is Kato. Got a Steeplecab and a Trolley Chassey and they've worked AMAZINGLY, and this one has been working well after it was ran-in for an hour or two.
...I would LOVE to do T-Gauge on the channel some day, but it's a bit too pricey sadly... Maybe an idea for the far future for this channel.

good day everyone! does anybody know if this track can run a SA001 chasis? i would love to buy one of these but with another engine running on it, but i'm not sure if the track voltage supports it...

Yeah, the SA001 (and any shells for it) should handle the curves just fine. The lil cream and red guy in this set has a SA001 pre-installed I think, but I've also bought one on my own for another small project layout and it's handled both this layout and a loop of track with Rokuhan's sharpest Shorty Line curves without issue.
