the differential is huge for circuit builds. basically, you want a higher wheel lock on acceleration to prevent losing control and a lower lock on corners to allow easier cornering, but you still want some so you don't spin out. just try racing a Firarri on a circuit with 100% wheel lock on deceleration, then 25% on the same track. you'll feel a huge difference
Dude I was literally about to comment the same thing. His video was so well put together I assumed he was a fairly known youtuber. This guy deserves more subs, and other creators could learn from him
Dude I saw this the other night and I have to say THANK YOU for the basics and formulas for weight distribution, and I couldn't laugh harder at the piss take on big engines and forced inductions. Reminded me of the terrible videos that say "TUNE THE CAR LIKE THIS AND BIG ENGINE AND IT DRIFTS". You're a legend man :)
Gotta be honest, came on yo channel because of a random recommandation. Didnt expected much, but i was wrong. Oh god i was wrong. Super nice job, great explanation, keep on the good work, i believe in you, you just earned ya a subscriber 👌
negative camber will not effect steering angle front camber should be tuned so that the lead tire in a drift in flat at full or close to full steering lock so looking at the front of the car the tires might look like / \ but while in a drift the lead tire should look like l
when i tune for drift i use -5 chamber and low caster...there for at full lock theres the most amount of tire on the ground for more grip......caz the more u turn the more positive camber you get...caz when ur at full lock thats most likely when ur about to spin out so youd want as much grip as possible to save it...also use the hub...when tuneing...for grip and suspension....IT HELPS ALOT.....press down on the d pad to use it
ik everyone tunes diff...lmao...jest trying to help....if your tandeming...is use 50-75%brake pressure so u can make small adjustment when your close to other cars....give it a shot
No, you want to supercharge because the balance is more consistent along with the power meaning for smoother and more controllable drifts, having a turbo give you bursts how power less controllable and harder to predict, meaning more spinouts
I'd like a good drift setup for: 1. Mercedes-Benz 190 E Evo II 2. 240 sx 3. Focus RS with RWD conversion. Do I have to set it to manual? What other setting should be on/off? I mainly play my PlayStation, i only have an Xbox 1 for the Forza series. So I'm pretty new to this. Any help would be appreciated.
Excellent guide. Straight to the point and easy to follow, what a good guide should do/be. Though I do have one problem that came about after tuning. I seem to spin-out more easily, when I give my analog stick the slightest nudge. Is this just a part of the learning curve? Too much power in the engine? Maybe I should adjust the shocks?
+Prince of the Iron Fist you might have your steering set to Simulation, try setting it to Normal, it makes it MUCH easier to control. If you're on a pad, it's pretty much a necessity
Funnily enough, my steering was already set off Simulation. It'd probably help if I mentioned the car I'm currently messing around with: I'm using the Chevrolet IROC-Z.
Well if thats the case it comes down to the tune. You should be adjusting things in this order: Springs > Anti-Roll Bars > Tire Pressure > Alignment > Damping > Differential. If you are kicking out too quickly, maybe bring in the camber, and lower the tire pressure of your rear tires. I also really recommend you DL a good drift tune from the shop, either for your car or another, so you can see how it drives. Other than that, it comes down to practice!
I've got a pretty beefy PC. GTX 1080, 4770K OC'd a tad, 32 gigs of ram and Forza is on an SSD. I needed it, this game is so poorly optimized for lower end rigs. An update came out yesterday that was supposed to help, but I haven't heard good things.
Yeah, I'm on a lower end rig, GTX 760 with an 4690k not OC'd because I'm too stupid to do it and I can just barely get 48 frames and it dips and stutters like crazy, I just started playing today and if it's this bad now I don't want to see how bad it was, I'm praying for a better update because when the game works, it's great.
Evangel oh man, I had a 760 aswell. could only play Horizon 3 in a small window on the lowest settings. I bought and installed a 1060 and it runs really good with all the settings maxed out now. partly has to do with the latest update however.
Alex Rascon The thing is, I've run much more intense games on my computer, I know it's starting to get pretty low end but there should never be a case where I can't run a game at a constant 30 FPS at least on lowest settings, because no other game has ever given me the issue of stuttering. That's what's so confusing, this is the only game where I get consistent frame drops in OPEN AREAS WITH NO CARS and get stuttering all the time, it can't be my computer if that's the case, because I can play Arma 3 on high with 30 high end mods running on a military sim server with 60+ people going at 60 fps almost constantly, and Arma 3 has one of the worst engines ever created!
Evangel same here. computer could run other games perfectly without issue, even games that were known to run poorly due to bad engines or ports. that said, Horizon 3 was definitely not ported over well onto pc. I can't really complain since this is the first full forza game on pc, and they have to try to get the game running on a platform with dynamic specs unlike xbox where everyone has the same cpu, memory, and what not.
You want a really good drift guide? Set your suspension alignment, roll bars, spring rates and damping in the middle. Go 100% on the rear differential, set front and rear tire (sport or race tires) pressure at 25 and then go to the drift park (leave the gearing alone for now) and drift while making small changes to the above mentioned components until you find a combo that works for you. This is the best and only way you will ever learn what it takes to tune a solid drift car and how each small change effects the drifting and drive ability of each car. Everyone has a different style and what works for this guy or myself may not work worth a flip for you. This is not something you can work on for 5 mins and then go drift like a pro........I have tuned on my drift cars for weeks to get that perfect setup. Being able to tune your own car makes the difference between looking like a champ or a chump in the drift park. This is how I learned and I can drift with the best of them no matter the car or the drive line.
I don't understand basically any of the shit U were saying after alignment, U need to elaborate alot more and be more specific about it instead of say things U know that we don't but ull learn how to properly teach one day 🙂
Just for the record, "rim job" has a whole different meaning than what you might think
Alex F I think he knew that😂
🤣

Why the fuck you don't have more subs. The video was funny as hell and I hope the formula works :P
Gonna test it later. Thanks for making this.
Dude I was literally about to comment the same thing. His video was so well put together I assumed he was a fairly known youtuber. This guy deserves more subs, and other creators could learn from him
I'm stupid. I used this on an Ariel atom
What the fuck
cool
Looks great, but you should lower the volume of the game more when you speak, cause I'm having a hard time hearing you
Yeah there are a couple spots when the tires get a bit much. Thanks for the heads up!
Dr. Doom Turn up your volume
Get better speakers
@@zerrier get a better life
this video is gold the best most legit drift tuning guide on the internet

I enjoyed it man!

He needs more subs.. subscribed for sure bror
Thank u man exactly what I been looking for well done awesome vid

Thanks for your help and now I can drift.
when your upgradeing almost all your pics are diff. than mine...how do u change em
Gotta say I never run turbo's on my drift builds, some cars have so much turbo lag I find it screws you up
Why rally springs for later putting the car to the ground in height? What I am missing?
Sebastian Cufre steering angle
Can u tell me how u do that formule can u say it step by step i dont get it 65-1? Then what
ik everyone tunes diff...lmao...jest trying to help....if your tandeming...is use 50-75%brake pressure so u can make small adjustment when your close to other cars....give it a shot
What was that yellow car he was in
Best tune video
No, you want to supercharge because the balance is more consistent along with the power meaning for smoother and more controllable drifts, having a turbo give you bursts how power less controllable and harder to predict, meaning more spinouts
haha awesome video! simple yet informative. The piss take and jokes earned you a sub lol keep it up 😂👍
Thanks a lot! You are my 200th sub! Wooo!
Woohoo!!
Not sure how I got here but I'm not complaining, great vid. You got a subscrizzle. Let's drift sometime
How do I know how much % is on the back? Is it 2%
I don't get the formula help
diff has alot to do with any tune,it's how quickly the diff locks and unlocks
I'd like a good drift setup for:
1. Mercedes-Benz 190 E Evo II
2. 240 sx
3. Focus RS with RWD conversion.

Hmmhmm, I'll look into that. Thanks!

+Dankston Bongfucios make sure you are installing the race performance upgrades. You can't tune stock parts
This is an awesome video dude, but I wish microsoft would include Automatic drift tunes in future Forza games.
BigjohnSVT that’s gay af never say that shit again
Omg I laughed so much during this video, if you see this great video man keep it up :)
When u said don't worry the tuning menu is much more complicated then it looks I get more nervous to go near it
i just can't find rally springs on any car
Nice Video Man!
If there is any advice i could give you, it would be maybe turn your voice volume up because the game is a lot louder than you and i wanna hear you :D
How come your turbo and shit look like that while selecting them? Mine look a lot different
Never mind.. you play on pc :o
Thank you for not being annoying like everyone else
Anytime! Thanks for the sub!
That helped me out alot, appreciate man!
Thanks bro that help me out a lot
