Hello, can I talk with you? I am a graduate from Adult education in Nigeria. What courses can I take up there ? I am thinking on secondary school or adult education for adults that wanta to further their education.
I'm a teacher in Nigeria with 14 years teaching experience. Pls how can I relocate through this route? What band of IELTS do I need for teaching in UK? I already have IELTS band 6.
I teach KS4 and KS5 an option subject on a full-time basis in an academy based in Lincolnshire UK . I've been doing this for 13 years. School starts at 8.30 am but I arrive an hour earlier just to get my planning sorted and school finishes at 3.35pm. This also depends on if you have arranged some interventions to catch up for study. You get about 30 students with mixed abilities, so you'll have your hands full in the hour of your lessons. There are 5 subjects for an hour, 1 hour break and an additional 20-minute break, which makes up your timetable. Accents doesn't bother me at all. I've been in the UK since finishing my secondary school in Nigeria.
What!? Wow! Please can you guide me, I will soon join my husband in UK by April but I have 2 kids. Will it be easy to do teaching with my kids ?. I studied economics
Nannelle you are blessed. Thanks for going all the way to make research for us on this teaching pathway by bringing a UK resource person and qualified teacher to speak about life as a teacher in the UK. Much love from Nigeria 🇳🇬

In fact, I am a qualified senior high school mathematics teacher in Ghana and planning on relocating to the UK still to teach but the money doesn't look that attractive for someone living there because of the standard of living over there.😄😄😄😄I don't think I am lying
The money may not be attractive but the benefits are immense: no school fees for your children; no hospital bills; and your spouse is allowed to work any job and hours of her choice. You the sponsored teacher are restricted to work only for the school that brought you but your spouse can work any job and any hours. Additionally, you get permanent residence after 5 years for all the wife and children. Also, you can do extra tutoring online to supplement your income.
As a British Nigerian born and raised in the Uk I’m defo grateful to my parents. There are pros and cons because despite being british I still faced racism and it’s freeeezing cold. And I was born and raised in the uk with a strong accent but still cold 😅. I defo say take the step but UK has pros and cons so you can do research

It is next to impossible to get into those lovely Grammar Schools and the pay scale in colleges is much lower than in mainstream schools. The behaviour of pupils in many of these state schools is horrendous - these kids have absolutely no respect for teachers, and it is usually these schools that are desperate to recruit teachers from abroad - the British teachers won't go anywhere near them.
