    LOVE the video! Especially love the family getting involved! It made me smile.

    Really good video. Great demonstration of what it can do and what is an unrealistic expectation of its design. Looks well worth having. I like the way you have everybody doing the unloading rather than just the biggest guy.

    Great video! Very informative. It was cool to see that you got the whole family involved.

    Cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this…I bought one years and years ago, still sitting in its box in the garage because I wasn’t smart enough back then to google or UA-cam…Wow, (now hubby died 9 years ago..so I am absolutely without any help) no, to think how many tons of loads of whatever I have had to dig and wheelbarrow way down to back of yard and I’m 73 years old and disabled! Don’t think I’m gonna a be dumb anymore. Thank you so much for caring.

    I always spread a 10x12 tarp out in the bed and lay the excess over all 4 sides while they load the material . I loved your review, iv been saying I'm going to get one of these since they came out back in the 90s, I think it was . Lol
    Finally, I'm going to get one ... I think I'll spread the load mat out, then still spread a tarp . It makes for a faster clean up , and with load handler, it will make it even faster with unloading and clean up .

      Just used mine for the first time and a tarp would help. I have lots of material on both sides that has to be hand unloaded.

    Great video, these unloaders work really well. I used the larger LH 3000 for my Ford Ranger flatbed rather building the bed with hydraulics. I made special brackets so it just clipped onto the end of the flatbed using two pins in 5 seconds. I also used the anti-friction mat and my wife used it often for her landscaping jobs.

    Great demonstration. I have a tree care company and used loadhandlers for years. Great comment about plywood angled over the fenders this redirects almost 99% of your load to the LH tarp. Even better use "Puckboard"

    Add a tarp under the double mat that runs up the sides of the bed , wont wind up in the loadhandler and keeps stone from the bed sides.

  • @DaleKitzky

    Used it for years. I put 2 ripped in half 3/4 plywood on angle on sides to keep it out of around wheel wells.

    It looks like a great product and something I would consider. I have a sprayed in bed liner and the slippery surface is a must.

      When we researched it, most reviews recommended the additional purchase. It was worth the investment.

      Thanks for the review. I'm shopping for a truck and this looks like a great edition to the functionality I'd like one for. Is the material that pulls the load across the bed replaceable? I would think that it may develop holes or tears after awhile.

    • @ADifferentWay
      @ADifferentWay  2 роки тому

      We actually haven’t looked into that yet. It’s pretty tough and haven’t needed a replacement yet. The fabric is pretty long so you can cut off the tattered end and use the remaining.

    I screwed a 1"x 2" to the end of the fabric to keep it from fraying over time and so I can pull it out and set between the box and cab of the truck. That way it will stay there and not fall back while loading material.

    That looks like a lot heavier fabric than my new haul master has.
    I had to cut 2" off the width of my fabric and heat gun the edges to seal them.
    The width was a couple inches too wide for my 2004 Dodge Dakota truck tailgate.

    I had to replace the hollow drive pipe or tube with a piece of 1" solid steel round stock. The hollow stuff isn't strong enough.

    • @ADifferentWay
      @ADifferentWay  Рік тому

      That hollow pipe is definitely a weak point. We haven’t had trouble with ours yet, but that will likely be the first thing to break with time.

    I ordered the loadhandler and received it a couple days ago with a missing steel middle piece. Any idea how I can get a hold of them? I have tried calling the number/emailing them and no response for days on days...any help is appreciated

    • @ADifferentWay
      @ADifferentWay  Рік тому

      I’m afraid I don’t know. If you ordered direct from the company, I would do some digging and just keep trying different ways to get ahold of them. If you ordered through Amazon, then I know that’s an easy way to get issues resolved-just generate a return and replacement. I’m afraid we never had any issues ordering ours, so we’ve never actually communicated with the company.

      @@ADifferentWay Thanks for the response. You can't even submit anything through their actual website. It says contact website administrator. No one answers the phone number provided and the email they use must not be active. It sucks cause Ive basically lost $500 due to import charges here in Canada. That's the benefit of buying off amazon. You can get in contact super easy!

    What do you use the sawdust for?

    • @ADifferentWay
      @ADifferentWay  Рік тому +1

      We use the sawdust for a variety of things--part of the carbon material used in our winter deep bedding layers in the animal stalls, as a soft and absorbent base layer under the shavings in horse stalls, we put it in buckets for our outdoor compost bucket toilets, in the garden when I need to add absorbent bulk to our clay soil, and more!

    • @ADifferentWay
      @ADifferentWay  Рік тому +1

      One of the great advantages of farming is that your children can work for you on the farm, completely legally! And just for the record, because living rurally can make it difficult for our children to get outside jobs, we actually pay them fairly for the work they do around the farm. We believe pay for hard work teaches many valuable lessons and prepares them for proper money management in the future!
