Dear Tom, sorry about your loss, I tell you losing your mom is a very very tough thing to deal with no matter how old she was… so you cry as long and as hard if you must. I bought the building you see at 20:18 with the Pony Express placard. Never really heard of the town and bought it site unseen. Fell in love with this town. Will be hopefully open for business late 2025. I will be sure to come back here and send you an invite.

Colorado is different but in the lower States like Florida California Georgia Texas and so on they have beautiful concrete houses that's where it originally came from then to Jamaica. A lot of people may not know that but those warm States and hurricanes states in America had to have those houses, in the cold States we have vinyl siding because concrete is too cold for the winter. In Massachusetts we have some of the most beautiful homes in America very beautiful and big.

Tom I first came across references to your Town when I was looking for articles on the Sandcreek Massacre. I came across reference about the Battle of Julesburg in 1865 where Fort Rankin (renamed Fort Sedgwick) was attacked by 1000 Cheyenne, Arapaho, and Lakota warriors in revenge for the Sandcreek Massacre . This also led me to a VOA 2019 utube video which features Julesburg as the backdrop for a short documentary about Charamine Teodoro a Maths Teacher from the Philippines who was recruited by the School Board because they were unable to find a Maths teacher who was willing to work in such a rural location.(she is currently still working at the school. After watching your video last night and discovering that it's your Hometown, I done some more research and discovered that it was also on the Pony Express Route from 1860 to 1861.
Even though your Hometown only has a population of 1307 it has many tourist attractions in the Town and along the South Platte River in your County of Sedgwick.

It is like my decease husband we met in NY and when we visit Jamaica I brought him to Montego Bay he was shock for he is from Clarendon never get to know the island,is like most people from Kingston refer to other parts of the island as country the beauty of the island is the north-course,
That is so funny, I just took my friend for a visit for the first me to St Ann. She's from kingston and she taught everywhere is country but couldn't explain what country meant, all she knows was the garrison to the ghetto until she went to the USA, her mouth drop when she landed in Mobay and ride down to the north coast into St Ann, now she want to go back and buy a home they're.

The place looks flat but that's only a tiny part of America a lot of America is flat though but not all of it. I love Jamaica when I visit for America's very quiet you don't hear any noise or people walk in the streets shouting you don't see that unless we have a riot like Donald Trump time but that doesn't happen all the time. Here we don't see our neighbors we don't mind other people's business just stay quiet work hard and go home to families that's all America is about and safe in most areas. Of course you hear about bad things but you really don't see it unless you are in that area which is only a few areas.

What is a basement house?
Basement is the level of the house underground. Most times it’s fully furnished and good living space. Some families use it for storage or it is used as a “fallout shelter” meaning in some parts of the USA during tornado storms is where occupants go until the storm passes because it’s safer to be.
Great question. A basement house has the entire living space below ground level. When watching this video you can spot several basement houses. They look strange because you only see the roof and an entrance door above the ground. Many old houses in rural Colorado were originally basement house, with the above ground portion of the house added years later.
