Happy birthday! I just wanted to say, I find that a Ceramic rod or my preferred method of a ceramic plate , does for S90V , approximately what a good stripping does for 14C. I've yet to need to actually sharpen any S90V , but whenever my Tuya Scaphoid gets a 17° edge angle , it will be terrifyingly sharp . You gotta love a great steel , paired with outstanding geometry.
Hey, Thankyou kindly, its a little early but ill count it for when it does arrive in October 😉.
Cheers for the info as well. Ceramic rods and plates is something ive yet to add to my collection, mainly I wanted spyderco rods to take care of serrations but i'll keep that in mind for S90V as well. Talking about terrifyingly sharp, that Pyrite really did come like that. Great factory edge coupled with the pyrites super slim geometry was really quite something. Going to see how long it lasts before i need to sharpen it.
Also interested to see how the Artisan Cleo takes to the whetstones, altho im not in any particular rush to get it done
@@Archetype_EDC I just saw that the new Pyrite tanto has been released. I'm a big tanto fan , so I'm probably going to be needing that one . I kinda want to wait and see what upgraded versions may be offered . I'm sure it's not a hollow, but with their typical geometry, it should be an epic drag cutter .
@@dougwinchester4963 Ah cool, they really are putting out everything at the moment, didnt know they had a tanto pyrite until you just said.
BHQ says the grind is flat, but yea the geometry should be nicely done as always. They are a bit sporadic with their upgraded versions release, so who knows. Probably would be fine to get the base version to see if you like it. I just noticed besides the one with the thumb stud, they had one with a huge opening slot on the blade.
Now that one caught my attention. But with what I've had in from CJRB lately (basically premium versions of everything) I think ill be putting any ideations of buying new things to rest until well into next year lol
Happpy Birthday month man! lol O.G sent my ad20.5 scales out and I got them today and put the slicer together. My clip is entropic but has its own look. It looks a little wild lol I’m pleased tho. Wasn’t too hard to put together. I updated my pic. To show it off. Ad20s Ad20.5 OG scales. ( if anyone else does this I used two of the screws OG sent for the clip they’re a tad longer and allow you to close it fully and snug it up better onto the spacers )
Was just having a look, looking good! Would be better to handle them in real life of course. I wonder if they will send longer screws for the shark cub ones that I will get soon 🤔
Entropic clips are always 🔥, glad there are others who enjoy them as well. And thanks as well! The premature Bday presents to myself are halfway done, I have some really unique ones coming in over the next few weeks. Of course they will all be up in future videos.
Enjoy your new OG scales as well then!
I didn’t have to have to use those two extra screws but they looked good and beefy so I went with um they are a tad longer and they don’t hurt to use ,there is two black ones also that come with the scales . I took it apart and put it back together I had a spacer put in wrong at first and the pivot screw that looks like a bullet was put in backwards . Was fun working on it today .
@@gOOnz901 Yea its fun to have a tinker around with your new stuff, as long as nothing goes wrong lol. I guess I'll just have to wait and see if they send extra screws for the shark cub, but im sure it should be fine either way. The Lexan scales are for sure thicker than the original G10 ones so longer screws in certain parts might be needed
