Hello, the house is amazing! How does clay behave with a candle? Doesn't turn black? Have you tried to make a similar candle holder out of cement and if so, how does it behave over a candle?
I am in love!!! do you use water to get the smooth efect on the clay? do you use a varnish for the rezistence of the colors and protect them for sun/water?
So is it safe to put open flame candles into DAS clay fairy houses? They would look so much better than the battery operated flickering candles i've used in the past! x P.S. ... Absolutely adorable, you've done a wonderful job but I'm a bit concerned that you've used a real candle with paper clay, is it safe to do that? I would think Das paper clay is flammable. Try using LED cool lights.

Don’t use to much water and perhaps use a bit more clay. Maybe you are making the clay to thin. I make mine quite thick and as yet none have broken. Hope this helps
