I don’t believe we’ve even seen peak Magnus yet - 75 years old, retired, bored and just blasting chess for something to do. Right now we have young, distracted, rich, party Magnus. Wait till he’s retired and bored and chess is all he does with pure focus.
@@Ravi-yb7mn Not really. it's just common sense. but I know you guys don't know what that is. Look the accuracy Fischer used to play with in the pre-engine era, and then Kasparov also, even though Kasparov also took advantage of the improvement of chess engines at some point, he was already a few years from retirement. If you study with engines is more likely to be better nowadays, but the real question is how good he would've been in the Fischer, Kasparov, Capablanca, and Karpov time without engines?
He lost a Queen for a Rook, in a rapid game. Bronstein, if I remember correctly, blundered an entire Rook IN A WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH, against Botvinnik, under (obviously) classic time control, and still got away with a draw :)
The secret is just Fabi's blunder due to time pressure. First the passing pawn, he forgot about rook takes with check, and then putting the queen in the wrong square. Magnus really just got lucky with this one. But also, maybe Fabi was a bit greedy. He already had the win in his pocket, he just needed to be more patient. I'm still recovering from that one, I almost threw my phone when it happened 😂 Just crazy chess
he gets lucky more often than he statistically should. he's got this ability to just disable emotions at will, which most of his opponents lack, either slightly or severely (like Nepo). that's why they may get winning positions, but they usually still blink first nerves are a big part of the game, especially under short time controls or as Aronian put it: "Magnus' main secret is his composure and the absence of any soul-searching after mistakes during a game." like many super successful people, he's got some psychopathic traits - which i mean in a morally neutral way. (they usually include charm, by the way).
If Magnus Carlsen make a online school of the holy true chess, probably a got it. Magnus if you are reading me, awesome and congratulationes to you!! 🎉
more of a blunderfest... relatively low accuracy on both sides even by the standards of this rapid tournament. (although kudos to Carlsen for staying cool and persistent under pressure -it's his inhuman ability to do so that often lets him weasel out of hopeless situations)
The meat riders have arrived, gary is the real goat, Kasparov won six world championship matches and held the title for 15 years. He remained the world number one for 20 years and won a total of 38 supertournaments, 15 of those tournaments were won consecutively
But you have to factor in that the competition now is harder than the competition back then, and this is a straight up fact, because chess will constantly keep on evolving, even if you think Kasparov is the goat, Magnus is the one closest to him, and the difference between Magnus and the next guy, is much more than between Kasparov and Magnus, you must realise that Magnus is set to surpass Kasparov, if he hasn't already done so
I have only respect for Kasparov, and he was incredibly inspiring and educational to watch. Carlsen is better, though. He sees more, and he shapes the game.
No criticism about his chess...one of the greatest ever. However he needs to work on his communication/interview skills. Being interviewed is part of the job and promoting chess.
@@hakonberg8003somewhere between "natural" and "media trained" is probably the sweet spot. like Anand (although even Anand would get annoyed in interviews sometimes). Carlsen is known for being an obstructionist by giving curt non-replies to questions, or getting angry (like his outburst against Maurice Ashley or storming out of the press conference after his loss to Karjakin). on the other hand i can understand him sometimes, because he gets interviewed more than any other players and the questions are often stupid, very repetitive etc.
Magnus seemingly just rolled out of bed and into this game.
totally haha, apparently didn't even time to stretch so he had to do it during the interview
From what I have heard that could actually be true
He just rolls out of bed, loses his queen, and wins.
Hahaha
Magnus eats GMs for breakfast so yeah.
Living in the same era as Magnus is nothing but a blessing
I couldn't have said it better!

@@ZachM525He will probably focus more on golf when he’s older I bet. He seems super into as his other passion but idk.
@@ZachM525Magnus have stated multiple times that 2019 was his peak year. Now it just a gradual decline.
Seen the same comments about Messi and agree with both
He was hung over from watching bayern the day before. No joke. Saw him at the bar.
I thought he was hanging the minute I saw him lol
Magnus never skips Chessday.
Love it!
The guys so bored of being the best player in the world 😭
magnus is the best chess player ever.
nah.
then who?@@enriquesneffels3053
I think you misspelled 'xQc'

Levon did say once: "Happiness comes from undeserved wins".
Magnus the 🐐
Imagine being at the highest level of chess, losing your queen, and still winning
He lost a Queen for a Rook, in a rapid game.
Bronstein, if I remember correctly, blundered an entire Rook IN A WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH, against Botvinnik, under (obviously) classic time control, and still got away with a draw :)
He is the best! No one can convince me otherwise🤯🤯
She looks amazed haha 0:23
I feel like Magnus himself is shocked at how good he is sometimes
If I remember well, Magnus plan for 2023 was to win from position -10. Checked.
he looks like a broom that plays chess
A win down a queen against Fabi? This guy must be stopped 💀
a queen for a rook
The reason it worked out was because he doesn’t get too excited. It’s not an emotional game.
He looks so dang happy 😂 I think this is his happiest expression I've seen of him.
He's had a fight with comb!!
his power is in his hair???
He is rocking that genius vibe well imo
magnus on hangover but savage
Este tipo hizo que me interesara aún más por el ajedrez

Magnus ✊
Carlen really likes Neimann's hairstyle.
Greatness recognizes greatness
Terrible hair... homeless style
Hair speaks for itself
His hear speak for itself 😆
Clearly hides his moves in his hair
How did you feel after meeting levy aka GOTHAM chess
❤❤
wow is the term I would use to describe that hair style
You managed to win oh you know how you won, interviewers just ask obvious questions idc about your emotions i wanna hear your logic my guy.
He calculated 70 moves ahead I bet
I wouldn't say so fabi was in a winning position till the very end until heade that huge blunder
I do not know, I just got up from the bed, and I was half awaken, so I do not remember how I win, I hardly could open my eyes.

Magnus is the Best in World and also his Hair 🤣
why is it SO HARD for her to ask an intelligent question ?
she's not even a chess player (weak beginner level, to be precise). i don't think these exchanges are meant to be anywhere near serious interviews.
M for Magnus
M for Mightysquare 😊❤🎉🎉
i'd write a comment, but idk
🏆
I love magnus hairstyle that is always different and crazy 🤣🤣❤❤
Clearly having the most flamboyant bed hair is the way to hypnotise Fabi

Magnus is still sleepy. LOL
Magnus has the fluffiest hair.
This is your brain on 3300

What is going on with his hair
Is Magnus adopting some of Bobby Fischers scruffiness as he ages???
Levy never fai- oh wait.
magnus carlson never fails to put magnus carlson in his youtube titles
