I needed one these things. I picked this one, got one used mint for 100 bucks on Reverb. I hope it don't die in dust like my old M-Audio one from 20 years ago. That thing was a piece of junk. This looks to be an upgrade for me, , I hope.

Please i bought Novation Impulse25 and cant get it to work the Installing process is so frustrating please which one do i install first. I think there should be a Software CD to make this easier for users at the moment am not finding the product fun

I'm so in agreement with you each! While I get that this is a keyboard controller, as a musician you want to take it out the box and it works... PERIOD! Who wants to spend to spend time downloading, registering, creating passwords and acct info, etc, etc, the excitement is in PLAYING your new instrument! Very discouraging to deal with so much process when you want to just play! I'm ready to send this back and just buy a synth that is TRULY plug-in-play ready. The main reason I got this is as a piano player I did like the touch and action of the keys when trying it out in the store but after more then an hour on Novation's website with a bunch of profile development questions and for WHAT!? YOU DAMN SURE DIDN'T NEED ALL THIS INFORMATION FROM ME TO TAKE MY MONEY WHEN BUYING THE KEYBOARD NOW DID YOU!! Disgusting the level of dependency on technology this world functions on today. Why not have a CD with every new keyboard with preset sounds so you "AT LEAST" can hear and play it to know it works and then you can always at your leasure, go online and get the detailed files, patches, etc. So tired of all this propaganda to want you to spend "your money" then after your purchase, having devices set up for you to use them the way "they" want you too... My apologies, I'll stop here b/c I truly could rant a whole lot more!!!
+StarTrek123456 Yes - if the effect supports mapping aftertouch to lowpass, or if you have some processor (like a Max for Live module or similar) that map aftertouch to values that control lowpass

Literally why is this the only 25-key midi keyboard with ENDLESS ENCODERS that I can find? Why on earth would anyone ever want limited knobs?!?!? This one stupid feature is about to cost me $200 rather than ~$100 for any other useless fucking keyboard out there.
"Automap" is pure SHIT. It do not do anything real, in my vst:s it "controlled" some shit paratemets like volume. Do not use automap, fucking just put values to controller.
+paradroidx There isn't much alternative though (except maybe motorised knobs?), since the functions change as you navigate between the tracks within your song
OK i'll say again, maybe iam confusing you. So say you turn the knobs they dont stop, like endless turning and the led shows you how much you have turn them.. Id like some resistance when fiddle with the pots

It is just a controller tajt connects to your computer. You need software to play sounds.

endless knobs brings features that cant be done with closed ones
