MG 😱 All the to clean the ERG valve. Might as well pull out the engine and to a compete rebuild 🤯
that's exactly what I thought.... i have that problem with my car and I'm worried cuz looks like that's the same engine i have 1,7 crdi that kia used between 2010 ang 2015. i hope that I'm wrong...
precise and gentle..gandang video
I have a Tucson 4WD diesel, and a Strada 4x4, subscribing to your channel. Cheers
Thanks!
After watching this, EGR delete does sounds like a good idea. Haha
Great video thanks for sharing . Is it the same procedure if it is just the EGR valve that you want to clean .

Thank you
Thanks dude
Good video 👍 how many miles was this at?
Hi, great video , thanks for sharing. Anyway i wanna ask what will happen if we dont clean all this? My engine jerking & stall whenever i put on reverse or D with A/C On. I change fuel filter, fuelpump and crankshaft position sensor but seem the problem still there. No engine warning, no faulty code on diagnose. Sometime while driving my engine jerking. But the most obvious is when A/C on the engine jerk then stall on reverse & D. I can drive it without A/C on no problem. Do u know the problem?
Did you find out the cause on this as mine does the same!
Hi , me again, Do you have any tips how to get the starter out of kia sportages III D4HA ? It easy to unbolt , but I can not get it out . Either oil cooler or generator is in the way. very frustrating .Thank you.
You are a good mechanic , Can you give me a tip how to get into the Boost Control Position Sensor housing on the turbo (D4HA) , can this be done without removing the turbo? I have a p2563 so I will give the sensor a clean/replacement.
Yes you can remove it without removing the assembly. Thanks!
Hey man! You aren’t planning on doing an D4HA or D4HB head gasket replacement video anytime soon by chance are ya? Cause the dealer here in Spain is quoting €4789,- to do it 😱😱😱
This is absolutely amazing content!! I have to do this job on a D4HB CRDI (Sorento).
One question, maybe you can help, any idea where the damn PCV Valve / Breather is on that model? Having a hard time finding it :-(
Breather valve is at the back. Thanks!
@@btdgarage cheers man!
I have a Sorento D4HB CRDI, is this near exactly the same process and layout of the steps in the video?
How did you get on Simon?
D4ha and d4hb are almost the same engines. The difference are only in the pistons
@@wayne5128 Hey, sorry, missed your message. Went on well, in the end I had to swap the rocker cover (350.000 KM). Also rerouted the pcv line to an oil catch can as my piston rings will need replacement at some point. Having too much blow by.
Still considering an EGR delete as my intercooler keeps filling up with soot. Actually causing a P0299. What are your thoughts on this @btdgarage?

Hi, is it normal for the Throttle to be open like that when the car is switched off? I have Kia sportage 2.0crdi awd same engine, its so heavy on diesel. I was thinking of changing the throttle, thought it was faulty.
Hi! Unlike gas engines, diesel throttle bodies are normally open as default. They’ll only close upon shutting the engine down. You may confirm it’s operation by idling the engine with the hose/pipe of to observe the throttle body butterfly then turning the engine off (butterfly should shut close, then open). Just make sure you have scantool ready to clear any fault codes or check engine light afterwards as the ECU may get a low boost reading and throw a CEL
@@btdgarage Thank you for your response, I did the the observation it does exactly what you said.
My idle is at 1000rpm is that normal for these cars? Or it has to be lower than that?
@@tshepodhlamini4640 Should be around 700-800rpm with AC on. Try to have your throttle (pedal) position sensor checked first. Easiest way to check is to hook up a scantool and check via live data feed (throttle pedal PID) if it’s accurately getting the correct 0-100% pedal position. If it does, best to have your vehicle checked by an expert :)
