Really nice beat! The Synclavier was actually a really expensive digital synth that did FM synthesis, additive synthesis, and sampling. It cost from $25,000 to $200,000. They were in high in studios and TV production studios.
@@amirperrymusic totally agree. After starting to learn to play piano with weighted keys and moving over to one without weighted keys, its harder to get that dynamic resolution down. It just doesn't feel natural.
Amir, what is the bass synth sound, is that Xpand!2 as well? It really was the perfect low-end for the track, in my opinion, it just glued everything together.
This is exclusively dope. I saved it so I can further study it 📚 … I just love RNB NOW and I think we have to keep it alive by supporting people like you more. Great work.👏
been using Arturia sounds and I like the vibe I get from them. this track is definitely a vibe. id like to hear vocal on it and get a nice feel for it.
@@amirperrymusic I also find it easier to just do drums on the keys instead of the pads. The improved pads on the MPK249 is the only reason to upgrade.
Really liked the way u arrange first and get the feel for the beat im gonna try to make beats the same way cause im struggling with my arrangements! Thanks a lot🙏🏼
Watching you play melodies on the multiple pianos made me wonder, do you quantize what you record? I quantize most of what I record between 1%-20%. I know sometimes when I heavily quantize what I record, the sound is dehumanized and loses a genuine spark to it. When I don't choose to quantize, there's some 1/64 difference between the notes that throws me off then and there or later in the beat. I constantly experiment with quantization and look for that right balance.
Dope beat as always Amir. Has a nice happy vibe to it (Summer Time and Skating RInk Jam) What was that sick beat playing after your intro. Did you make that as well? If so, I'd love to see a video of you making it.
I'm getting into production and engineering from a Djs point of view. Trying my best to learn a instrument like Piano/Keyboard to help with my production work. Do you think it's key to know how to play an instrument in order to make the best beats. I know that sounds like a no brainer. I just would appreciate your point of view on the topic!
Woww, I didn't know you could produce like this with Arturia's V Collection. I have the Jup 8V right now and I recently produced a song and In love it. Your beat was literally just missing a vocalist and its ready for Hot 105. This is something to look into though, especially with the DX7 and Sinclaiver! Great demonstration!
Glad you rock with it. The V collection has some crazy sounds to experiment with. You definitely have to dig into it. I appreciate you for watching. 🙏🏾💯
Yo! That was quite tight my Guy! Good job. I'm workin' on my skill-set and tryna get like you Bruh. I really appreciate all the tips and lil gems you dropped on the sounds you use; I'm on it!
Smooth beat. Beautiful sound selection. I've been on My R&B Vibe as of late. Tired of trap and all the "hard" stuff. I need Music that calms My nerves.
Preciate you bro. Na I’m not using OBS. I’m recording my camera, running QuickTime screen capture and a program called audio hi jack to capture pro tools audio.
No really an r&b cat. Having said that beat is phat. Question when you are conceptualizing your work do you have it all in your head before? Or do you lay your ideas down then go back and arrange...always a pleasure to see you work bro. Greatly appreciate the vids
It really depends. Sometimes I can hear a sample or loop and I can hear the beat done but most times I'm just messing around on the piano until I find something I like. I usually build the beat and then come back and arrange though. I usually can tell what sounds are going to fit in each section as I'm creating the melodies. It's just something I've gotten better with with time.
What are you using for the sub in this beat bro? I’ve actually been trying to use Arturia for hip hop bass, but can never quite find something that fits.
Yo, I dig the beat. Whats the chance we could see maybe a 10min tutorial showing us your go 2 sound library's and some of the tools you use when making these bad ass beats!
@@amirperrymusic Yeah?! I hear you talking about tools like Xpand and a couple others. It would be cool to get some reccomendations for us noobies. Cant wait for more content my man!
When you’re using battery for your drums do you load the plug-in in different instances of instrument tracks for each part as in the kick and snare do they all sit in a different plugin (battery) in different instrument tracks
What did you guys think about the beat?
Amir Perry it was incredible!
@@nahimkp1387 💯Thank you!
Nice track! Love the layering. Please do more tutorials. Do you know of any free sound plugins for instruments rnb?
Xpand 2. It comes free with pro tools
Other than Xpand2...I have Pro Tools 12.
When that Fusion Lead kicked in I knew it was gone be slapping!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🙏🏾

Thanks and I didn’t know that! I appreciate you for sharing that info. 🙏🏾
Those pianos sound amazing. I can't imagine how great the dynamic response is with those weighted keys. 🙌🎹
I love the weighted keys. It’s hard for me to play something that doesn’t have weighted keys.
@@amirperrymusic totally agree. After starting to learn to play piano with weighted keys and moving over to one without weighted keys, its harder to get that dynamic resolution down. It just doesn't feel natural.
Viewed this vid one year+ later but the vibe is timeless. 🎧🔥
I appreciate you for coming back and rocking with me. 💯
Was about to fall asleep but now I gotta fire up a track after seeing that. Dope content as always

Yup. To be honest I hardly use the pads at all.
I had to rewind the beat once more before the snares sat right with me. It provides that snappy percussion.
This is straight bounce and heat 🔥🔥 You filled every pocket so smooth. And I just got Expand, can’t wait to create more with it 💪🏾

Amazing Amir, what are you using for bass here at 5:35?

I quantize after I record. I may go in and manually shift notes on sounds that I want to feel more human.
5:30
Sounds good. Where did you get that bass from?
Thank you. I made it in Vacuum, which is a instrument inside of Pro Tools.

😂😂 it’s a universal thing. I really couldn’t stop it if I tried.
Dope beat bro!!! Let me know What sound preset did u use on bass??
