🌻 ABOUT COSMOPOLITAN CORNBREAD 🌻
In 2016 my husband and I retired from active duty army family life and planted roots in Alabama. We started a homestead from scratch, and shared that journey here on UA-cam. In 2022 we answered the call to the mountains of Arkansas, where we are starting that journey once again.
I post videos to encourage families to embrace growing food, cooking real food and living a simpler, slower, faith-filled life. I am a whole bible believer, and share my passions for the home and the Father.
Here on Cosmopolitan Cornbread some of what you will see include:

Ticks hate gerainium oil. I always spray myself with gerainium oil mixed with water. Thanks for this recipe, I'll have to give it a try.
So pleased to learn your recipe!!! Can't wait for your review! All the best.
Yes, I have made Rachel’s bug spray. I think it works well. Smells nice too!😘❤🙏🏻✨
Hi Constance! Keep in mind some of these oils (particularly eucalyptus) aren’t safe for little ones under the age of 10, and the percentage of oils in this recipe is a bit too high for them also. Thought I would let you know since you have a little one around, although I’m sure you already do know 😊
Thanks for that, Constance. Sounds good. Of course, you know the best way to find that veggie glycerine, don't you? Simply go to a lot of trouble and expense to buy some more, open the new bottle, use what you need...and ta-dah! When you go to put it away, there the old one will be!! 😊 You're welcome. 🤭😆 Love, hugs and prayers for you and yours... BevxO🐨❤️
LOL! That's exactly how to find it! Works EVERY time!

I can use a good bug spray while I hike our Michigan Metro Parks.
I have had good luck with pure lavender oil mixed with oil. Olive oil, coconut oil of a base oil can be used. The ratios are on the internet and I put it on arms and legs when mowing or walking across the lawn and it has made a difference. No mosquitoes or chiggers around the ankles.
If someone can’t afford the entire receipt maybe try oil and pure lavender.
Had no idea cedar attracts ticks . Always learning something from you Constance. 🤗💓💕💞
glycerin allows oils and water to mix, u can shake also, thanks for recipe
TY as always for another useful video! I can’t help but notice your pretty dress matched beautifully w/ your beautiful decor on your shelf behind you Constance! Did you do that on purpose?❤🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
Not at all, but those are some of my favorite colors :)
@@CosmopolitanCornbread mine too😀
Hi Constance. I was wondering if you reviewed the bug spray yet, or I may have just missed it.
Not yet! :)
Use homemade bug spray on us and our little dog. Ticks are the worst we ve seen in years and ants , i never have ants but thanks to the bug spray they are very easily eliminated
That will only cost a few hundred dollars to buy all that
The cost of Lyme is way more than that,,,,,,and not just financially .
"A few hundred" is a bit of a stretch, but you will get many batches of spray out of these bottles. And if you are doing your best to avoid chemicals and pesticides, it is worth it.
The most cost is essential oils. The oils are super concentrated and can be used in many things. It will pay for itself over time. Bonus is it's not toxic like some of the bug sprays on the market.
